We’re making some important changes here at Cathe Dot Com- and it means some amazing savings for you!
We are genuinely excited to share some important news regarding the evolution of our business!
After much consideration, we’ve made the decision to officially phase out our DVD and fitness gear offerings. This shift will allow us to dedicate our full attention to expanding Cathe OnDemand, our streaming platform, and we believe it’s a fantastic opportunity for growth! We are so excited for the journey ahead as Cathe OnDemand continues to evolve.

What does this mean for you?

With our complete focus on Cathe OnDemand, you can look forward to more new workouts being released frequently, as well as a wealth of fresh content to explore. This shift opens the door for continued expansion of our fitness library! DVD sales have been steadily declining as more individuals are opting for streaming options. Keeping up with DVD production has become increasingly challenging and has delayed the release of new workouts. By stepping away from DVDs, we can ensure a quicker turnaround, bringing you new content much faster! Not ready for OnDemand streaming? Don’t worry, we will continue to release new workout content in download format as well.

In addition, we will also be closing out most of our fitness gear line. Due to rising tariffs and shipping costs, it has become quite difficult to restock or add new products. So, we’re clearing our warehouse! Starting Today, we will be offering significant clearance discounts on our DVDs and fitness gear (USA Only)! https://shop.cathe.com

This is your last chance to grab any Cathe fitness equipment or workouts in DVD format.
We understand that change can be hard, but we are genuinely thrilled about what lies ahead as we embark on this new journey together.
Thank you for your unwavering support of Cathe and Cathe Dot Com! We can’t wait to share the exciting new things coming your way!

I knew this was coming & am grateful we got the last two LMR sets on DVD. And I'm so glad I have Cathe's entire workout collection (minus the cycle ones) on DVD. I do understand the reasoning for this change & it makes sense. But I'm one of those in an area that has really iffy internet service. I deal with constant buffering & total disconnects almost daily, all day long, so for me, not sure if this will work. It's bad enough just trying to watch TV or You Tube videos, but to be in the middle of a workout & have it buffer or disconnect is something that would be unacceptable to me. I have been purchasing downloads & putting those on thumb drives. I am really on the fence about subscribing. And I really do want to! I guess I could subscribe for 6 months just to give it a try. Maybe it won't be as bad as I'm thinking? Does anyone else have internet issues? How do you deal with it?

I do want to thank you, Cathe, for making DVD's for as long as you did! And spoiling us with so many features on them!!!

I did already take advantage of the Clearance Sale!!!

I will miss DVDs but totally get that technology has left them behind like it left VHS behind. :)
I am excited that this means there will be more workouts produced and more variety!
I'm still planning to grow old with Cathe!

Will you maintain your Workout Manager site, Cathe?

DeannaTS, I am right there with you in appreciating Cathe and that she has provided the DVDs for as long as she has. I am sad to see them go while, at a business level, I understand her reasoning.

I understand what you are saying about your WIFI. I am curious if you have tried the downloads. This amazing group of Cathletes taught me that I could save the downloads to a thumb drive and play them through my DVD player which has the thumb drive port. It works beautifully. I am not sure I will transition to live streaming; nevertheless, the downloads work for me.

I simply wanted to mention this in case the downloads would work differently for you than the live streaming.

I have been getting downloads & transferring them to thumb drives! I recently bought a new TV that I can plug the thumb drive into. It works great! I still would like to be able to just do lives without searching the thumb drives though.

I'm going to be sad. Physical media is starting to really make a comeback and I'm glad DVDs are starting to take up more room on store shelves again.
Guess I'm going to have to look into getting an external hard drive to store any new workouts I get.

I've been using downloads exclusively since Cathe first started with them. Then on occasion I'd purchase a few of the live downloads. While ago I signed up Cathe Live and I thoroughly enjoy working out with the cast. I can imagine how difficult this is for those who don't have access to good wifi. As a baby boomer I always wonder when will I have to stop working out with Cathe because I've aged out so I sympathize with those who will have to find other ways to workout. Cathe is the best!

This require finding a quickest and efficient way of saving a file. The name can be changed to enable YOU to find your file smoothly and quickly. You do not need to keep the original name. You can save under a number as a name first then the name. The name as it appear on the thumb drive is short, I know. That is what makes it difficult. Then keep a list of your lives with number and the name of the live. For example 025 : Upper body. That is a way to do it.

Please do, Cathe!!

I'm still very upset. I love Cathe's workouts. Saying change can be hard is ridiculous. This new format means I can't be a customer unless I have a lot of money. No way can I pay for internet every single month. Downloads would be the only option but all I have is this small tablet that is not easy to see while working out because of the tiny screen and, no, I can't connect this to a tv screen because it doesn't have video output. I would need to buy a computer (I've never owned one and don't plan on doing so) or a new tablet that could connect to my tv via an HDMI cable. That is nowhere in my budget right now so you are pricing me out. Goodbye for now.

Stay tuned!

I am sure Cathe has more tricks under her sleeves as far as business is concerned.;):)
She will bounce back:cool:

I understand this decision completely, although it makes me sad as it feels like the end of an era. I’m surprised that DVDs have been offered for so long, when many other instructors stopped making them. It says a lot that Cathe has been trying to please customers who still wanted DVDs. However, I get that businesses need to evolve or die and producing DVDs doesn’t seem to be financially feasible these days. I’m looking forward to seeing what the new content will look like either On Demand or via download. Thank you for all you have done for so many of us over the years and I’m anxious to see what is in store for the future!
