I took a look in the mirror and *GASP* -- cellulite!

>Uh, I bet Daisy Duke there has cellulite too....just a bunch
>of vaseline smeared on the camera lense in my opinion. LOL

>Charlotte~~

I am a great believer in indirect lighting!
I also look much better when I don't have my glasses on...at least the reflection in the mirror does!! (Kind of smoothes out the rough edges.)

Have you ever caught the infomercial with Greer Childress selling some aerobic breathing program. Now THAT camera lens has a whole JAR of vaseline smeared on it!

Everybody's right, I'm making too big a deal out of this. I need to just relax, otherwise I'd be overly uptight with how I looked and probably super boring to talk to.

I am also a believer of indirect lighting, preferably dim! No wonder when you go to a bar/nightclub, everybody looks good.

I was kidding too! But my 19 year old has told me mutliple times you are in shape but you have it so I will get it to. It's all your fault! I'm adopted so don't have a biological mom to blame!

So nice to hear how everyone is dealing with it. Pinky I must say you sound like you so have your ... together on this :)

I have to say the thing has helped me the most is seeing the star magazine of Paris and Britney is that bad or WHAT!!

Christie, You can't tell you are big at all from your little avatar. I read your other post about "letting it all hang out" & I was very surprised. And I do love your attitude about it. I mean, I never went anywhere in public without makeup, now I do so as often as I please. I'm getting better at it.

And with this Texas heat fast approaching, pretty soon, I too will start to "let it all hang out."

Yip,
I'm big. In fact, since I've started exercing, according to BMI, I'm now only overweight, not morbidly obese! LOL! No the reason I started working out is I started having really bad problems with my knees. My doctor said it was basically because my knees couldn't continue to support that kind of weight. So I started exercising, and end up getting hooked. Then I started reading all kinds of fitness boards and was so amazed at how unhealthy I was that it really changed how I ate. I'm a w-i-p though. I've lost 56 pounds gained 10 of it back and am now trying to lose the other 50. I must say though, eating clean all the time is soooooo HARD!! But I know eventually I'll get there. By the way, I still have a few problems with my knees but no where as bad as it used to be. Oh and about the hanging all out, yes at home in private, I really do wear the same kind of clothes Cathe wears, cause they feel cute and motivate me. It's a lot different in public though.:7

"I'm always amazed when women with massive, lumpy amounts of cellulite walk around in shorts. I guess they have some kind of self-confidence that I don't".

Kathryn- What's so amazing? Not everyone wears shorts to show off their legs; they wear them to keep cool in the summer and to be comfortable. When I was obese as a teen, I'm sure I looked pretty weird wearing black from head to toe in the summer. I was miserable and made everyone around me miserable. Self-confidence or not, people are better off when they're cool and comfortable. :)

Isn't it something when you really look!?!! I have it on the back of my thighs. Not too bad, but it's there. You know what's worst I HAVE to put on a bathing suit because my kids are like fish. They live in the swimming pool all summer.
I used to think that it was a weight thing, but I've never had a weight issue. So I would work out harder. Eat better and I still had it.

There is this one lady that comes to the pool and bless her heart, but her legs are covered in it. I used to think I would never put a suit on it if Iooked like that, but then I think how much you'd miss out with your kids. We have a blast at the pool.

I used to think that it came from pregnancy and the weight gain from it, but my dd who is only 7 has it! She's not overweight or anything, but she looks like she might be the kind of person who stores her weight in her thighs and butt area. Poor kid. She's still young so maybe that will change.

Sorry so long!

Cellulite Schmellulite! As long as I am fit and healthy (working out regularly and eating pretty good) I could care less......

Of course, I also genetically don't carry much cellulite....YET... so it is easier for me to say that I suppose :)

And yes, Kathryn is right when she says men don't care a bit about cellulite...

Eating clean is VERY HARD. But I know from personal experience, if you keep it up for a while, like a month or so with NO CHEATING, if you dare eat unclean food, it will taste really weird to you.

I used to eat half of loaf of white bread with my dinner since I was a kid, anyway, when I learned I had to give it up it was tough. But I did, then when I tried it again, it tasted just not right to me. Very weird.

Keep up the good work girlfriend. Can't wait to meet you at Cathepalooza!

RE: I took a look in the mirror and *GASP* -- cellulite...

I have more cellulite on my right thigh than on my left, lol. Long live the lopsided ladies!

I went on a cruise last year to St johns and I saw a woman who literally had cellulite on the front, side & back of her thighs! It was not appealing as she was in a small bathing suit. Please remember that things can always be worse! We are our own worse critics!
