I ran my first race!!

Congratulations, Lori!

I ran my first race last year and I warmly remember what an accomplishment it was. I ran slowly also, but the important thing was that I finished. (I only finished before three other people, one lady about 10 year younger than me, a 6 year old boy and a 76 year old manx( )! Keep working at it!!!

I think that is just wonderful, nurseNT. Congratulation's on setting that goal and working hard towards it!!! Who cares what your time was, you ran the distance and that's what matter's most. You'll improve your time with every race you run.

Running on the beach, something us cold climate dweller's can only dream about! Lucky you!

Congratulations Lori - that's fantastic and you should be very proud!

I've got my first 'race' at the beginning of May for Cancer Research (5k) so we'll have to see how I do (have raised over £300 so far)...would eventually love to the London Marathon but that's way, way down the line. Imagine the satisfaction of finishing a marathon..!
