I am SO PROUD of myself!

I finally got through HIS combo 3 this morning. I think it was the 5th or 6th time I've done that workout. :p

Mind you, I only got it on the very last try at the end when she puts all 3 combos together. So I did the hitch kick once without stumbling, stuttering, or stopping to look over my shoulder at the TV. Truthfully I'm not even sure I got it right on purpose--it could've just been a lucky accident.

Either way I'm still proud of myself & my 2 left feet. :+

Now for my next challenge. I'm working on Tracey's & Amy's step workouts this w/e. I adore Cathe but right now her step DVDs are the only ones I can do without bursting into tears from frustration. I need some fresh cardio & I have to get out of my comfort zone. Wish me luck! :)

Cool. I love Amy's step workout (are you talking about ASC II)! It is totally worth learning in my opnion! I love Tracey's HISM. Do you have them both...HISM and HISM II? If you do, I would love to hear the comparison between the two. I've had a hard time clicking with Tracey's workouts since her first batch.

You know what Angela? I have no idea WTH I have! Probably all of those. I have Amy's new step workout, which I think is ASCII. I have Tracey's Step Sweatfest, but I'm 99% certain I also have 2 of her other step workouts in a drawer somewhere. I'm also pretty sure I have at least one other of Amy's.

My goal for this w/e is to pull out all the unwrapped step DVDs I have, none of which are Cathe, & start familiarizing myself w/the other instructors. This is actually a pretty major deal for me--I've been doing Cathe's step for almost 12 years & have NEVER used another home instructor's step workouts (KB, hi/lo, circuit, you name it, but not step).

So my fitness adventure continues, even at the ripe old age of 40.........;-)

ETA: OK this is not entirely true. I too did Jane Fonda, and Cher/Keli Roberts, and Gin Miller. But I haven't used any other instructors' workouts since discovering Cathe.

Cool LauraMax! I personally think that mastering any step moves/step workouts is the best reward of all! I only do BM2 for now as a step routine, but boy was I excited when I got it all down! It really is fun once you get the moves down - I am disappointed when it is over actually!
Clarissa :)

Or a lot less fun when you don't get it. ;-) :p }(

But yes, I now can do LIS all the way through & I'm making progress w/HIS. It's nice not to yell & curse at my hero. :7

Yay, Laura! I envy you. I haven't even been able to try any cardio from 4DS. Still waiting on my calf to heal. I have Tracey's Step Sweatfest too... and all I've been able to do is preview it. Tell me what you think when you try it out! It looks wonderfully complex.

Yikes! Frightenly complex is more like it.

You poor thing. I really feel for you. You must be going nuts with all of us having so much fun w/all these new workouts. :-(

Yep, "nuts" pretty much describes it. So does "jealous." :p But it's getting there, it's getting there.

I'm jealous of the cardio, too. I did the 4DS cardio a couple times before I saw my physical therapist and he told me to quit doing step aerobics for the time being. :(

However, I did do HIS a couple times before that and once I got the hitch kick down I was trying to hitch kick all over the house (no wonder the ankle is taking so long to heal).

Laura I tripped over my step and my feet and just some really thick air trying to do HIS a while back. Haven't tried it since! :D

Glad to know you've mastered it. I read with interest Cathe's breakdown of all the moves up in her area of the forum. I'll look at that again before I make my next attempt.
