How to prevent floor puzzles slide

I have my parents' old carpet mat- the piece you put in between carpet and rug to keep it from slipping. I also have used a squishy contact paper to secure them.

I couldn't find a photo online to show you what I'm talking about.

I work out on hardwood floors with my puzzle mats on top. I really don't use the carpet pad that much, but I can't do terminators without it!! HTH.

I superglued mine to the carpet. My husband loves it! When he saw what I did, he was so happy tears welled up in his eyes! He was utterly speachless. I can honestly say that I have never seen him so emotional before! :+

I am just kidding, of course. I have the same problem and have to slide mine back every five minutes. UGH! x( Amy, will the carpetmat thingy work on carpet, too?

I use one of those mats that Amy suggested (she suggested it to me!) to keep my mats from sliding on the carpet. Mine is somewhat sticky. I bought it at Target. It works great!

i had to do mine wall to wall to solve that problem but it was worth it. no more sliding. problem now is that my youngest dog likes to dig up the edges and chew them to bitsx( gotta love puppies:p

WantFit- yes, i couldn't think of how to describe it! ;)

Pinky- too funny. i read your post thinking, but she doesn't have very much room, and i can't believe her DH would appreciate such a permanent move... am i gullible or what?

Jessica- so glad it worked for you too!

I used to have troulbe with my puzzle mats sliding. Then I made sure I had enough of them so that they filled the entire empty space between my exercise video shelf and the sofa (which keeps them in place from front to back) and between some furniture on the sides (which keeps them in place from side-to-side)--about 8'x8'all together. Before that, I put heavy dumbbells on each corner, but it didn't always keep them from sliding completely.
