How do I put the icon in the message?

I know this is probably a dumb question to most of you, but how do I put the icon in with the message? I just can't figure it out! :(

And what is a tag?

Bumping this up for you. It's not a dumb question. I can't tell you how to do it. Techno challeged here LOL!

If so, while typing here in the message box, go up to the icons above the box and click on the one that looks like a picture frame of the mountains and a square in the upper right corner (just below the back arrow). You then insert the link.

Nope. I mean the post icons, below the message box. I can only seem to get them outside of the title box, but not in the message box.

I feel really dumb but I know someone out there can help me! Please?

Try this...... Click on "User CP," then select "edit options." Once that screen comes up, you can change anything you like, but the one thing that you want to do is scroll ALL the way down to the bottom of the page to the block for "miscellaneous options," and select "full enhanced editor - wysiwyg, etc." from the pull down menu. Save your changes. To test this, click on a "post reply" button in a thread. When your text box opens for you to write your post, you should see all the post icons at the bottom of the editing box. At the top of the box, you'll have buttons for everything else (font styles, sizes, text alignment, etc.).... tools that you would normally use to create a document in MS Word. HTH!! OK - so are you asking about your signature box?

That is done in CP like Carol said under edit your signature. There is a good description on that in the FAQ's.

You need to paste the link or html and for mine at least, it would say it didn't work but it does. You are limited to the spaces. But I haven't figured out how some have posted their blinking, etc. additions such as the Cheetah ladies do.

ETA : Yes, I just added the Sharks "stuff" to mine. Just go to edit your signature and upload either a web link or a jpeg from your own computer. You can add any typing there also and change colors, fonts, size, etc just like when posting a message.

Actually, this is a brilliant question, aveggiegirl!! I've been meaning to ask it for sometime myself, but have just never gotten around to it!:rolleyes:

But as you can see, I too have at last figured it out -- thanks, complik8td!! :D I'm too lazy and technically inept to have figured it out for myself!:rolleyes:

As you can see, I can now go nuts with the icons!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::p
