I agree!
I've even had some younger "girls" drive in, try to turn around using my across-the-street neighbor's driveway (which is HUGE, thank goodness!), but being too shy or whatever to pull in there TOO far, didn't do it far enough before backing out, and rammed into a support for a light post. Made me giggle!
I've contemplated putting spikes at the front of my front yard (gardens!) so that some idiots who run into the wooden landscape posts I use for horizontal barriers and shift them out of place, or especially mega-idiots like the one who ran over the post and drove a foot farther into my garden, leaving a tire track mark and some smashed plant life, would have severe tire damage if they came too close to my yard. Unfortunately, there would probably be some legal problems from that! But it's tempting!
One day, a ditsy colleague of mine came down my dead-end. I was out, and gave the driver a version of the somewhat scathing "are you an idiot, or what" look I like to use in these circumstances. (I just like to kind of stand and watch these people!) I didn't recognize who it was. Then she stammered out "oh,Kathryn, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come to your house," before awkwardly ,manoeuvering her way out.
