HIIT Treadmill settings

Hope this doesn't sound too silly--- but--- when you are doing high intensity for a minute and then resting 2 minutes--- don't you go crazy constantly changing speeds or intervals--- can't concentrate on the workout because i'm thinking about when i have to change settings again--- am i missing something?
 
Once you learn the workouts it's second nature. I hated it when I started using Cardio Coach and not knowing what's coming. But now I know just about every workout by heart so I know when to start increasing. Luckily my treadmill has time with seconds count and it's easy to see when to start and end an interval.
