Hi All~Some very sad news!

I hesitated starting a post about this last week as I wasn't comfortable giving out details and quite honestly kept forgetting to ask KathyS if it would be okay. I now feel the need to let you all know so we can lift Kathy and her family (DH, 2 sons & her sis) up with thoughts & prayers. Her Mom had a stroke last week and has been battling back & forth. The first prognosis was that she would probably survive with many problems but took a turn for the worse a couple days ago. On Tuesday, she was placed in a Hospice Care unit and died this morning! This is all very shocking to the family and very hard for them all to deal with because her mom was just fine before the stroke happened. I had the pleasure of staying at her home for a day and a half last summer before Lorrayne, Kathy & I headed to Myrtle Beach where her Mom so graciously let us use her condo. Her Mom was the cutest, bubbliest lil' lady bustling around the kitchen making us meals and running up & down steps all day & even endured WATCHING fitness vids with us on her TV!! So, it is quite a shocker for us all to know this tragedy has happened. Please remember to keep them all in your thoughts as they make arrangements the next couple days and for Kathy's strength. She has been a pillar thru it all. Thanks for listening. You guys are the BEST!

I came back to add: Kathy & her Mom live in different states and Kathy was blessed to be with her Mom for the whole past week. She spent much time primping her hair, doing her nails and so forth so I am thankful she could be with her til the end. (I'm sure her Mom knew!)

Thank you for emailing me Debbie! I am still in shock. Her mom sounded like such a kind and special woman. My thoughts and prayers are with Kathy and her entire family at this very sad and difficult time.
