Help with menopause.

 What do some of the ladies do for menopause? what kind of supplements do you take that has made a difference?

Hi Reba! We did have a lengthy discussion about this a while back. You'll have to do a search for it however. I was taking Mircette 28 which is an estrogen pill. However, I didn't like what was happening to my body so I took myself off of it. Hot flashes came so frequently that it was difficult to get through it but the night sweats got better. I'm told black cohosh tea will help w/the hot flashes but I haven't tried it yet. Also, have you read any books? There's a book that I have at home but the title escapes me at the moment (I'm at work) so I'll get back to you on this. The book is extremely helpful and you must buy it. Best, Kathy:)

Hi Reba,
I have found a supplement that seems to help. It is called Natrol Complete Balance AM, PM formula. There is a morning tablet with B vitamins, soy, calcium and black cohosh. The Pm tablet has calcium, soy and melatonin to help you sleep. The black cohosh really helps with the hot flashes. I have been using it for quite awhile. It akes a couple of weeks to start really noticing the difference. With out it I would wet with sweat. My Dr recommended it to me. Some black cohosh formulas seem to work better than others. There is a brand called Spring Valley that works well for me. I started using the complete balance formula due to night sweats and not being able to sleep well. It has helped alot. Both items I found at Walmart.
Hope this helps.

Hi Reba,

I am not anywhere near my menopause years yet, however, I do use a vitamin ("Female Balance" by Symmetry) that is suppose to work well for all female problems/issues (including menopause). I also take their Nutra-Pacs. I have noticed a definite difference in my energy level from all of the vitamins.

Here is the link.....

Click on the WOMEN section and then click FEMALE BALANCE.....

Hope that helps......:)
