Hardcore Rotation Checkin Wednesday June 15

Good Morning Everyone,
This morning was Slow & Heavy Shoulders and since I don't run, I did 35 minutes of cardio from the Gauntlet. I modified some of it on the rebounder, but I tried to do more impact on the floor today since my foot was already hurting from yesterday.

I hope I don't have to be on my feet too much at work today and maybe I'll go out for lunch instead of walking over to the hospital (our building is separate from the hospital), although I probably can't get away with not walking over to the hospital for a couple things today. Too bad I have so much work to do with so many deadlines, or I could take a few days off sick to recuperate. Such is life.

Whomever posted about their sunburn (can't remember right now) -- I hope you feel better today. Put some aloe on it....maybe it will help.

Today I am going to do 30-45 min. on my rebounder. I am sore from doing bootcamp yesterday, but in a good way:D I think this week is going to be a Bootcamp week. I am going to do bootcamp again tomorrow.

Hello Ladies!

I'm back....

I had a good vacation. I got to workout a little bit, but not as much as usual.

Yesterday, I did Slow & Heavy Legs and Back. This morning I ran intervals on my treadmill for about 45 minutes. I'll get in some Slow & Heavy shoulders on my lunch break. I watched the video while I was running so I'll know what to do since I can't watch my DVD.

Lora...you sound like a very busy lady. I hope you can get a few days off soon.

Nicole - I'm just curious.......what rotation are you doing? or are you just improvising?

I hate to sound pushy, but I wish Cathe would start working on another series, as I need a lot of variety in my workouts and I don't want to do any other instructors yet......as I'm still obssessing over Cathe.
 
lora-it was me complaining about a sunburn on my shoulders. I have been using aloe. Thanks. I hope you get a chance to rest your foot today.

Today I have CTX upper body shoulders and IMAX 3. If I don't post tomorrow I could very well be passed out on the floor. Hehehe! I will attempt this workout this evening since I have a dentist appointment early this afternoon. Yuck!

This morning I did SH Shoulders. Instead of the run, I did some KPC.

I had some things on my mind (yeah, even that early in the morning), that I just wasn't really into it. I did about 20 - 30 minutes.

lora, just a quick question. When you say you need more variety (from Cathe) do you mean have her come out with rebounder, yoga, bosu, type workouts? I've always thought there is a pretty good variety. Like you, I could never w/o with another instructor.
 
No, nothing specific ........just another series. I never get tired of new things. My collection, previous to Cathe, consisted of at least 300 tapes/DVDs, so I'm a bit obssessive. I really like that Cathe puts out entire series that work together. I have everything from Pure Strength to Hardcore.......I'm just a nut I guess.

Well I pulled out Bootcamp yesterday! Had not done it for ages and I have to tell you I just loved how it worked my body....... esp. lower!! That jarred my memory!! I remember someone who did a Bootcamp rotation on Ya's Ya's and had GREAT results (they really leaned out). They did Bootcamp every other day (I think for a month) So I thought I am going to TRY this rotation for a week or two. I really like how bootcamp worked my WHOLE body. I may sub HSA or HSC for some variety, but I really want to focus on Bootcamp. I will keep you posted!!

Nicole - Definitely let me know your results. I need to lose about 5 stubborn pounds and I keep changing things up every month doing the monthly rotation and watching my diet, but I can't lose it. I'm curious. I know we're all built differently and if it works for you, it won't necessarily work for me.

today's workout: did CTX shoulders and instead of IMAX3, I did 20mins of running and 10mins powerwalk and lisa's advance cardio blast. I think that equals to IMAX3...a little bit, anyway! LOL...

Nicole: what are you doing on the days that you don't do bootcamp??? yes, I"m interested to know what your results are as well. I remember someone doing that for a month. and they got good results, didn't they???

Ok as I posted above I had IMAX 3 as part of my workout. HAHAHAHA! I only attempted about 30 minutes and then I sat on my step and watched the rest. Of the 30 minutes I do believe I hardly got any on the steps down. How do you ladies do it?? I have a hard enough time with the basics. LOL! How long did it take for you to learn the steps? I can see it now: me on the Cathe road trip sitting in the back of the room watching everyone starring in disbelief or I will be passed out on the floor. I hope someday to be able to do half of the workout. I bow down to those of you that can do it.
 
HI everyone
Today was another busy day for me. I went for an exam to have laser Eye surgury. It took 3 hrs.. Next Thursday I will be getting it done. My eye sight is so bad though that it may take a 2-3 surgries. Who know, I may see better than I ever have. Istarted wearing glasses at 6.

Today was, I max 3 stopping at the stretch, GS shoulders, and Stretch Max #2

Lora these injuries can seem to take forever to heal. I remember going through that and thinking maybe if I just quit altogether it would heal quickly. I couldn't. I worked around the injury like you are doing with the rebounder etc.. Making mistakes at times and feeling like I almost was back to where I started. I feel your pain. I hope you get through this soon. From experience I know it can take months.

As someone with two left feet, I know you will get it down eventually. I have had some workouts that made me want to throw my hands up and say I will never get this, but perseverence kept me at it and I got it down. Then they are so much fun. I doubt Cathe will have something that hard. I wish I could go.

Today I rebounded for 45 min. and did a section #3 of stretch max. I am going to listen to my body and rest if needed, but I would like to do some cardio imbetween. I remember a few people had really good results with this rotation. I printed that thread up, but of course cannot find it .;(

I will keep you all posted on this. I'm not looking lose weight, but I want to lean out and get rid of some body fat. You know that layer of fat on my belly and butt. Does that make any sense???

Today I did PS Legs & Abs. That's all I made time for today.

Good Luck on your eye surgery Diane! I know of a couple of people who had great results with it.

Today is my son's Pre-K graduation. It's a play daycare, not a school, yet they still have this event. It'll be fun for the kids, plus it gets me out of work early:)
