Hardcore Rotation Checkin Wednesday July 20

This morning I deviated from my rotation for a day and did Slim Series Tear it Up.

Hi Everyone,

I missed my work out yesterday and the check in. Busy day! I'm exhausted...how many weeks until school starts?! I really do feel like a cruise director! Ha! The first thing out of their mouth when they wake up, "Is what are we doing today?" Thank goodness for this private pool we've been going to almost everyday. It's been so hot here, there's nothing else you can do.

Today, since I missed Imax 2 yesterday, I'm doing that. Today calls for GSL standing only. I was going to do that after. We'll see how far I get before the kids wake up.

Lora ~ I hope you got some answers to your questions. I hope the SS works out for you. I've never heard of that. Let us know how it goes.

Sabrina and Beverly ~ sounds like you all had a wonderful time on the road trip. I knew it would be great. You two are so cute.

Susan ~ I was at my DD's karate class yesterday and was looking into that bag class, it's only being offered at 10A. My two older kids will be in school, but there's no daycare for my little guy. Bummer! Hopefully, the demand will grow and they'll add a night class. The also teach self defense moves at the end of each class.

Hi Everybody!!

This morning I did ME...haven't done that one in a while and it felt good. I will probably go for a run during lunch. It will be hot, but I'm feeling up to the challenge.

Dallas--I had a great time!!

Marietta--I am trying to get into the swing of things. I ended up not working out yesterday because I was so tired. My DH had to leave yesterday too for Indiana. He will be home late this evening. That stunk!!

I plan on working out today. Cardio I believe since I joined the bootcamp Thursday group for tomorrow.

I plan on a run today, not sure if I will have time for weights or not.

Lora I did TIU on Mon. and it felt really good!! I could not believe that I worked out for 78min. (I was just aiming for 60:7, but then Debbie would start a section that I liked and I kept going.

Susan yes I think SS is so effective because of the high rep and low weight I also think how she sequences things may play a factor in it to.

Marrietta that is a GREAT rotation I am printing it up and I will look to start it in 2 weeks. I've decided to do SS with Cathe imbetween rotation.}( (Need to put some of my other dvds to use!!

Dallas you crack me up!! Are your kids related to mine ha ha. We join a private pool also, but the thing is my 9 year son is in Allstar little league tournaments and on game days we have to take it easy:( So no pool, and then I have to hear it from the other kids how bored they are and wish they could go to the pool. So that will be my day today.


Sabrina and Beverly that is so COOL you got to meet each other:D


Today I plan to do LL so I am going to see how I feel after that and if I can I will do those walking lunges}( You ALL know WHY I have to do them I have a GOAL to meet.:7

Hi everyone,

Since this is going to be a short workout week for me, I'm going to plan to do three (Tues, Wed, Thurs) circuit workouts in ~ which is something I usually don't do.

Today I did HSTA (my favorite). I had to pause after each round of leg presses to get my heart rate down. Normally, I'd keep going, but I've read I shouldn't let my heart rate get too high. I'm having difficulty knowing how and when to modify.
Did any of you workout with Cathe while being pregnant?

I've enjoyed viewing the pictures that are posted from the road trip.

Hey Susan...how about lowering your step height when you do leg presses...maybe that will help. Either that or reduce the amount of weight you are using.

I didn't have clue about Cathe when I was last pregnant which was about 10 years ago...I was teaching classes at the time and I taught up until my 9th month of pregancy. I lowered my step height and cut out my ab work after the 3rd month....Those are the only modifications I made. I don't think I worried about my heart rate back then...as it wasn't a hot button topic at that time. I guess I didn't go all out...but I mostly just listened to my body.

Nicole...I'm glad you like the rotation. Let me know when you start and I'll do it with you. Meanwhile, I'll stick with my Aug 04 rotation.

Marietta and Nicole ~ What is this fab rotation you're going to start? I must have missed that too. I'm slowly purchasing Cathe DVDs, so I can follow her rotations instead of modifying all the time.

Ya I noticed (that's one of my favorite parts to work:7 ) I am really looking forward to getting out my Hardcore dvds again!!

Susan one of the few things I do remember when I was pregnant..... I kept my hr below 140 when I was working out.

Hi Everyone,
Todays workout was HSCh w/u and cardio only, then cardio coach rowing on the Bowflex and using the jump rope on the challenges, then I did Chest & Triceps using the Bowflex & Free weights.
I guess I must have been tired yesterday. I put that I did Power Max when I meant CTX Power Circuits w/u & cardio circuits,I also forgot the barbell rollouts on the ab work. I actually fell asleep at the computer last night. Tonight I will make an effort to get more rest:)
