Hardcore Rotation Checkin Thursday June 23

Good Morning Everyone,
This morning was Leaner Legs & Abs (I don't have ab hits). Boy that was tough today, as my legs were still fatigued from Tuesday's leg work. I knew what to expect this time, so I did some of the squats with the bar on my back, some with the bar in front and I did some of the lunges, etc. with dumbbells.

This morning I did Legs & Glutes...I know it's not on the June rotation, but I don't have the CTX series...yet. This afternoon, I may go for a run and then I'll have an interval class this evening.

Hello Hardcore Ladies!

Today was Leaner Legs. I just did the ab section in that w/o. Followed by PLB, Ball and GSL-floorwork.

During GSL my five year old was imitating animals that I had to guess, so I wasn't really paying attention to my workout...so I think I cheated quite a bit on the band exercises.

Marietta, LL is such a good w/o, that it's worth getting on VHS for now until you decide to get the CTX series. This DVD is hardly chaptered and there aren't any premixes.

Morning Ladies,

This morning I have a dentist appointment for a baby cavity that I have and have to have filled. I am hoping it wont take any time at all. I hate going to the dentist! Terrified.

If all goes well then I have Body Max and segment one of stretchmax later on. My DH has decided to join me this evening for my workout. Will be nice to have him working out with me (he is usually working out in the garage with the weight bench).

Today is my Birthday :7 I am helping my dd pack for Hawaii so that will prob. be my workout for today:+ Lora was thinking maybe you could give us a wake up call at 3am???? We have to take her to the airport, and be there SOOOOOOOOOO............. early ;(

Sabrina I hate going to the dentist as well!!! Hope it goes very quickly for you.

Susan I ended up buying a 8pound ball yesterday before my workout and you were right.......It is perfect!! Thanks

Sabrina - I also hate the Dentist. I have to go on Monday and then another appointment for my final bridge in July....yuk. It really sucks when you go straight from your crappy job too!

I just thought I'd add.....if you don't have Leaner Legs, I'd also suggest getting it. I've not gotten this sore from any other Cathe leg workout...which is a good thing. Hopefully I'll start seeing results from doing this one.
 
You guys are about to get me in trouble...but that's okay!!

Just based on Lora has said about LL and by looking at the chapter information, I can tell it's a good workout..

The CTX series on DVD is on backorder right now. If there are no premixes then I don't mind getting VHS. Do you guys think I should just get the whole thing on VHS? If I just order one tape it's 24.95, but the whole series on VHS is 79.95 or something like that.

Happy Birthday Nicole!! And because it is your birthday and you have so much to do...you can skip your workout if you want to...that's my gift to you!!

Sabrina...I think that's so cool that your DH is working out with you...have fun!!

Well I am back from the dreaded dentist. I ended up having to wait in the waiting room for an hour! Sometimes I think that is almost worse. The filling ended up only taking a half hour. My lip and the bottom part of the left side of my face is still numb. Drooling like a fool. LOL!! The worst part is is that I am hungry and I can't eat for another half hour yet. I have not had anything sice breakfast. I am use to eating every 2 hours.

Marietta--I love having my DH work out with me too. It is nice and makes you feel good (does that make sense?). He did KPC with me the other day too. He will not to the step workouts though. He told me I have enough trouble trying to do them without him in the way. hehe!

You ladies are lucky. My hubby can't stand to be in the same room working out with me (married a long time).

As far as the CTX series, I will add that I'm surprised that I've been getting sore this week. When I first looked at this month's rotation, I thought......oohh 10 minutes on a body part....that won't do nothing. Monday, chest & back was easy when I did it, but I sure felt it (a little) the next day and I was surprised. I'd say it's a pretty good series from just trying it this week. I also like that the cardio's are all around 30 minutes and make great add on's when you're doing weight work.

Also, about my Diet (since you all had to go thru hearing me the other day). I have the good fortune of working in the same office space as Diabetic Education here -- so I talked to the Dietician yesterday about what I eat, how much I weigh and how I'm into weightlifting. She said I shouldn't cut any of the fruits I eat out of my diet (for the sake of cutting calories) and if anything, I should cut out the protein drink I drink, as she feels I'm getting plenty of protein from the low-fat cheese, cereal and whole wheats that I eat, as well as yogurt. She said unless I was "a bodybuilder", I would be fine. She asked how heavy of weight I lift and I did tell her that I want to build muscle (as much as I can). Just thought I'd share that.

ETA: I forgot...she also gave me the website to get the Metropolitan Tables so I could calculate my body weight, etc. with the specification I have a small frame. I'm in my range....but I think I should be thinner. I don't know if those tables are correct.
