Hardcore Rotation Checkin Monday May 16

Morning Everyone,
Today was Slow & Heavy Back and 30 minutes Imax 2 premix...BlastMania and CoreMax - Tough Core. I did the deadlifts for my back workout with only 10# weights and really watched my form. My lower back is still very still and sore. I'm a little frightened because someone responded to a thread I posted about hurting my back doing deadlifts and said to be careful, as they ruptured a disc doing them and had to have surgery. That's all I need. I already have a herniated disc in my cervical spine! I don't think I did that to my low back, cuz I think I'd have pain radiating down my legs if I did and I don't have that.

Hi everyone,
Today I did MM. I'm hoping to squeeze a little cardio in tonight to burn off some extra calories consumed over the weekend.

Lora, a good friend of mine helped a co-worker out one day at work moving light equipment. The constant up and down ruined his back (he's only 35). Two or three weeks ago, he had part of his back removed and two metal rods put in. So, be careful. I have to be too.

I was sick all last week with a stomach bug.:( I am so glad that it has moved on.:)

I did HSC time saver 51 min., HSTA cardio only, HSC abd and stretch.
I like this combo.

My HSC DVD did a strange thing this morning. Using the time saver (51min.) it repeated the kickbox cardio section twice. I did the cardio but not the weight work. It never did that before. It could have been my constant pausing. I really need to arrange my equipment closer at hand.

Hi everyone,
I didn't do a lot this weekend. I had a lot of things going on here. Sunday was Step Blast w/u and the challenge then MIC Interval blast & Stretch.
Today was I Max3 stopping at the stretch, then CM ball, Bowflex abs w/ resistance, and started Cathe's 1 bodypart a day with Back using the Bowflex for most of the exercises. I did three sets of everything. Instead of pull ups I did wide grip pull downs, and for reverse grip barbell rows I did reverse grip pull downs, I also added 3 heavy sets of seated rows before the two sets of 25 reps.

Lora, I have been doing Cathe for quite a few years. I have worked out for around 24years. Muscle growth has been gradual and it is a real learning process. Lots of changing things up, altering cardio and doing endurance once in awhile. I would say in just the first year of really concentrating on weights I got a lot of noticeable muscle developement.

Nicole, I would say you could stick with that program as long as you keep getting results. Now for myself, I would probably alter it every 4-6 weeks. Maybe just change reps and sets, or add in a new exercise. I try to go for something more endurance every once in awhile to work on that area of fitness. For me going heavy and doing lots of cardio keeps me lean and more defined.

Hi ladies,

Yesterday I did a 9.7 mile run and today was HSTA. I am thinking of doing a short run after work.

I did some hiking over the weekend. It was great.

Hey everybody ~

My motivation is lower than whale poop... I took the weekend off (family obligations and just feeling "blah") so I figured I'd have renewed energy and enthusiasm today. NOT!!

I did the Back portion of PUB and GS. Not a fantastic workout but I heavied up on the weights and broke a sweat. (I've never in all the 20 years I've been weight training only done one bodypart per day so this is a challenge for me!)

I also did Segment 2 of Coremax to undo my indiscretion with my Dove Dark Chocolates.

I have to go and do my workout NOW LOL. I am thinking I will do GS Chest and KPC (I have not done that one in a long time) Sounds like FUN!!

Thanks Diane Sue I am thinking I probably will do 4 weeks of this rotation and then changing it. I am having a FUN time shopping for rotations!! It is AMAZING...... all the awesome rotations that people come up with!! I am still addicted to the hardcores!!Did you see the HARDCORE everything rotation????? I would like to TRY it for a week. It is a 7 day rotation using all the Hardcores (Kelley did a GREAT job creating this rotation!!)

Lora listen to your body. If it hurts DON'T DO IT!!

Elaine I am always pausing my dvds to:) And I have not had that happen you may want to clean you dvd and see if thats it???
