Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Thursday Aug 4

Morning Everyone - This morning I did about 50 minutes of Imax 2 (modifying some of the jumps on the rebounder) followed by PUB abs (because I think it's really effective and I was short on time). Tomorrow I'm planning on making up Monday's workout and doing Body Max. I've never done that one before and I hope I like it. I hope I can handle the music. Sometimes the older music gets to me.

Hi lorajc-What time did you work out? It's 6 thirty here in denver and I am going to work out soon. I may do an interval run instead of imax2. Have to make my own core routine as I sold coremax. Tonight I will do pub.

Kali-Ibet you will be doing some upper body too!
Marietta-How are you today?
Nicole-how is the book working for you? I am going to attemt to go get this today.
Bevely-are you running today? How about you dallas?

It is raining here in denver today and I love it! Too bad I have a lunch meeting with a client as I would love to read Kite Runner. I was going to save it for my vacation but today would be a good day to read.

ETA Lorahow do you like the rebounder? I am thinking of getting one since someday my knees bother me.
 
Hi Ladies,

Well, I went out for my run yesterday to do a 5 or 6 miler and it was so warm and sunny I went 7.2 miles and did not have time for the PLB floor work. So, I decided I am not going to concentrate on a rotation or more weights till fall... I am going to enjoy this great running and the outdoors while I can. I love summer!!

Terri, Did you get a run in? Why did you sell CoreMax? Just curious if it was to easy or just not what you had in mind?

Sabrina, Have fun on your trip to Wisconsin dells next week.

Dallas and Marietta, Do you gals run outside or on the treadmill?

Morning ladies!

Yesterday I ran out of time so I squeezed in Basic Step. This one I can at least do! hehe Finished (I hope) my shopping for our vacation. Now I need to pack. Ick! Not just my suitcase either, I need to get all 3 sons packed too.

Today I plan on getting in a weight workout. Have to post which one later.

Beverly-enjoy your runs! I wish I could run more. I try but have a hrad time with running.

Lora-sounds like you got a good workout.

Terri-enjoy that rain! We need some here pretty bad.

Hi Buddies!!

This morning I did SJP...hmmmm...not sure how I feel about this workout. It was okay, but not great. I'm thinking I need to go for run this afternoon to feel like I actually did something today. I have a weight/step class tonight, but I don't go all out in those because I've got some beginners and I don't want to scare them :eek: .

Lora....I think you'll like BodyMax. I did that on Tuesday. I like that one much better then SJP...by a long shot actually.

Beverly...Hey, when the run is good...just go with it right? I do most of my running outdoors when I go during my lunch break. I have a group of guys I run with. I'm in the midwest, so you know it's very hot...we don't run as long as I'd like, but with the heat...we do what we can. Yesterday, I think it was about 95 degrees when we ran. This time last year, I couldn't stand running in the heat and this year I was determined to do better. I think that's happening.

Hello Everyone,

Terri I don't know if it's the book or this rotation, but I have loads of energy. I cleaned my garage out yesterday and deep cleaned my van again. Anyone else feeling this way?? Terri you will have to let me know what you think of the book. Dallas how are you liking it? have you started yet?

Beverly I love the summer to.:D (I choose hot over cold anyday)

Sabrina have fun at the Dells and be sure and have a some fudge for me. When we lived in Wi. we would drive over to the Dells for the fudge.:9

Marietta yesterday I messed up on my rotation. When I did my workout I did KPC instead of SPJ:7 (it was FUN)

Hey anybody else looking forward to tomorrow? I wonder how long it will take? I stole my dh counter and used it when I did the 200 walking lunges and I know it will come in real handy for tomorrow. I won't have to expend engery counting:7

Nicole- haha I was just telling my DH last night that we had to go find a candy store! What is your favorite fudge and where did you go?

That is my favorite too!! I love my fudge with nuts! We went to a candy store the last time we were there and I was in LOVE!! I believe I did get fudge in there. It is expensive though if I remember right. But oh so good!!
 
Oh Ya!!! Your kids will enjoy watching them make it!! Taffy is fun to watch as well, but I choose fudge over taffy anyday. I think it was like maybe 7.00 pound, but I bet it will prob. be 10.00 or maybe 12.00 now???? But hey you are on vacation so ENJOY!!When I buy it I keep cutting little bit's at time and can't stop until it is gone ha ha.!!!
 
HI!!

I completed this morning's IMAX2 and CM3. My modifications were: just jumping and not tuck jumping (I2) and did not do rocket shoots (CM). This took about 70 minutes.

Marietta ?!!? Not sure if you like SJP? How could you not? Just kidding. I think it's combo two (where you do the 6 count mambo and strike a pose) I don't care for. My heart rate significantly drops. Luckily, that DVD has some really good premixes from which to choose.

Lora, I did check out that thread on video fitness. Wow. I really don't get the uproar. Just don't do it. I'm pregnant and realize I *may* not be able to some moves or maybe even complete the rotation... geesh. Anyway, did you see Cathe's reply to the question asked to her, re: safety to the rotation? It's over in Ask Cathe.

Sabrina, when you leave for your vacation? I know packing can be difficult enough for yourself, let alone all the kids too. I'm always worried I'll forget something.

Nicole, good for you for doing the KM Leg drills ~ even though you didn't do SJP. hahaha

For some reason I thought the fudge was higher than that per pound. Don't know what I was thinking. I WILL have to buy some to eat there and maybe bring some home too. LOL! I can't remember the name of the candy store we went to. Yikes, that is not good! ;-)
 
Ok I am back to say I am finished with my High intensity inyerval run and did 20 minutes of abs from bootcamp,me, and kpc. Will do my upperbody later.

Nicole I bet the energy is because you mental as you know you are getting so much done!
Also you ladies are making me want fudge! :)
Beverly- I did get my run in and enjoyed it! Hope your run goes well:) I sold coremax as I didn't like the planks etc and though abhits was harder. I have since done it to fittv and wish I had kept it!
Kali-I think pub is what I will do.
Susan-I am going to San Diego the 25th through the 29th. I am so excited!
Sabrina-I am very much enjoying the rain.

Morning everyone!

I just love Imax 2. How many did the happy dance?:7 Interval 9 didn't seem to bad for the first time....must be all those walking lunges in July. Yippee! I then did CM #2. I couldn't remember which segment, so I picked my favorite.

Lora ~ I did check out that thread on VF. People can be downright mean. I was wondering if Marietta has calmed down yet? ;-)

Terri ~ I hope you don't have seller's remorse (CM)!

Beverly ~ I do both. Running outside and treadmill that is. I would prefer to get more runs in outside. It does get rather boring on the treadmill, but at least I have my iPod with great tunes and the TV. The outside runs usually have to wait for the weekends so my Dh can watch the kids.

Sabrina ~ That really is the worse to be packing/unpacking for everyone. I'm so worried I'm going to forget something. Have fun!

Susan/Marietta - So, would you suggest I save my money for the CTX DVD instead of ordering SB/SJP DVD? I have both Tivo'd, so when I do those work outs I just tack on more cardio. Susan, I think it's awesome that your doing this rotation and modifying due to your pregnancy. You should post something over on that VF forum. That thread made me mad. I shouldn't have read it. Actually, maybe it's good, Cathe has everyone talking.

Hi Everyone -

It's good to see so many people conversing on this thread today. It seems as if everyone's doing really well. This must be a mood enhancer for everyone. The endporphins must be flowing freely for everyone. Too bad my job always stresses me out, or I'd still be feeling good from my workout!

Terri - I work out at 3:00 am and sometimes 2:45 am. Yes, I love my rebounder. Actually, I don't know what I'd do without it. I got it in February (right around the same time I discovered Cathe). I remember I was bummed cuz I couldn't find a lot of rebounder workouts, but then when I started to realize I had to modify a lot of Cathe's aerobics due to my herniated cervical disc and problems with low back pain, I was soooo happy I was putting the rebounder to good use.

Susan - I don't like that combo in SJP either. I always feel like Madonna "strike a pose".

Sabrina - I HATE packing also. I have to get my travel bag ready and start to decide what clothes I'll be taking to Vegas. I always pack a week or two early. Thanks goodness i only have to pack myself.

Nicole - That book sounds interesting -- I really could use something to get organized. I have so much stuff around my house that it drives me crazy, but I'm totally overwhelmed and can't deal with it!! LOL.

As far as tomorrow's workout, I'm not doing the scheduled day, as I think I should do Body Max since I missed it on Monday .

Also, I think I'm going to do Recovery Workouts on the scheduled rest days during this rotation. I was thinking of doing my Tracie Long Production DVDs on my rest day. Is anyone else not taking the scheduled rest day on this rotation?

I'll quit rambling now.

OK guys, here's a crazy idea. Since Friday's w/o is short AND we haven't really been lifting heavy weights - SJP (Wed) and BC coming up Tues, how about tomorrow we ADD and upper body workout? What do you think?

Here's my estimate for tomorrow:
brisk walk, 5 min
walking lunges, 10
jacks, 5
sit ups, 5
pushups, 5
dips, 5
total 35 minutes

So, which one will you do?}( I might choose MIS (minus the legs).

Dallas,

I do like SB/SJP, but if you're looking between one or the other right now, I'd suggest CTX. There is so much variety on that series you can mix and match.
