Hardcore Rotation Checkin for Finally Friday Aug 5

Hi Everyone,
This morning I did Body Max. I had a little difficulty pushing thru it, as I didn't get much sleep last night (at least that's the only reason I can come up with). I'm really glad it's Friday. It's been a stressful work week. Darn, I just remembered I was supposed to do pushups and jumping jacks at the end of the aerobic/weight segments. Oh well, hopefully I'm remember to do them later. My boss is off today, so maybe I can do them on a minibreak in my office later. My coworker already knows I'm a nut....so I don't care if she sees me.

Morning everyone!

I couldn't get my tired body out of bed for the usual 5A work out. So heading down now. I'm going to break it up into 4 cycles. Namita posted it in the other check in thread yesterday. It sounds more doable that way. I'll add on MM upper body after. I may have to wait until I'm back from karate camp (last day, woo hoo!). Got to get moving!

TGIF!!!

This morning I did IMAX2...I didn't do the core stuff. Heck, I did core last night in class.

Lora...glad you made it through BodyMax. Maybe when you're not so tired you enjoy it more. I'm with you, do your jumping jacks and pushups at work...I wouldn't care what anyone thinks either.

Dallas...I'm totally confused about the cycle thing. Guess I'll have to go try and figure it out. I didn't want to wake up either.

Hi Ladies!

I am going to go do day 5 here in a few minutes. I willlater do a treadmill run as I want my cardio fix!
Lora-Yeah just do the jumoing jacks and pushups when you have time today.
Dallas-Did you order CTX?
Marietta I appreciate that vacation workout as I will use it for a referance on my trip:)
Nicole-I went to get the book yesterday and they didn't have any in stock so I ordered it.

Sorry Marietta. I didn't have time to post it, but here was the work out.

5 minute walk (5.0) on the treadmill.

100 walking lunges
50 jacks
100 crunches
16 push ups
25 dips

repeat 4 times. I guess I could have alternated between the lunges/jacks to get more of a cardio work out too. I figured I took care of all that cardio this week.

I then did MM upper body (push/pull). I had to cut it 10 minutes short because my 2 boys were really fighting. THAT'S why I get up so early.

What did you guys think of this? I like to follow DVDs, but it's a nice change of pace.

Lora ~ go for the jumping jacks and push ups at work. I guess I would be more concerned about getting sweaty in my work clothes.

Terri ~ No, I didn't order CTX yet, but am trying to decide if I should get the new Target DVDs when I order CTX. I'm thinking they might be a good add on to a work out or for days when I want to take it a little easier. Hmm, decisions, decisions.

Nicole ~ I skimmed day one of the book. Heck, I do that one all the time. So, I guess I can skip to day 2. I did clean out my ds's (2) closet yesterday and sent a big bag of clothes to my SIL for my little nephew. We each have 2 boys, so we've been doing that all along. One closet down, so many more to go! x( Your book has inspired me to get started now instead of waiting for school to start.

Hi Gals,
I'm checking in real quick. My husband is on his way to pick my son and me up to go to the horse race track. I just got back from having lunch with my girlfriend.

This morning I did MIS (no legs and just a few abs). I then did hip extensions with my cable machine, three sets of 20 reps. Real light weight.

Hi all, didn't do imax2 yesterday, Have the cold and woke up feeling stuffy and miserable. I did fridays workout today

L&G warm-up
Alternating
100 walking lunges
50 jumping jacks.
Stop short at 350 walking lunges - I guess I could have pushed throug but legs were so sore form started to suffer
then after all the standing work (wanted to keep my heart rate up) did the floor work
400 various ab exercises on the floor and ball as well as the pushups on the floor and ball

Did 25 dips but really hate them so I did kickbacks and lying extensions.
then stretch to SJP

Marietta-thank you for the rotation! I have it printed and ready to go.

I have not left yet. Monday morning we leave at 8:00am. I am looking into taking the laptop with me. Need to check into it. I have been running around half the day trying to get the boys' things packed. I have already ran to walmart to pick up some travel size containers for their things. Have to go to Peoria tomorrow to get a few things too. I knew this would happen. Oh well! My middle son cannot wear his jeans any more. They are too short.

I have no idea if I will get a workout in or not. DH is going to be late. I still have to pack and finish up the boys. My packing could take all weekend! LOL! I confirmed our reservation and got some cash from the bank.

Hi Ladies,

I did a 6.5 mile run and looked for our missing cat last night.
The cat showed up this morning. As I was backing out of the drive way to work, here he came. He has never been out all night before.. I was soo happy to see him!!

Today I did a 6.2 mile interval run and did some of Cathe's add ons. I did 200 jumping jacks, 200 walking lunges around the back yard, 4 sets of 8 push ups and then 200 cruches. 50 regular, 50 on each side and 50 with legs added. That was fun and a nice little kick..

Well I'm back...you all know I can't stay away for too long!!

Terri...glad you like the Vacation Rotation it really came in handy for me. I'm doing the workout that you did today on tomorrow. I'm sure I'll be adding cardio too. I'm also thinking of adding PUB...we'll see.

Dallas...I understand now...guess I was tired or something. I think that breaking it down like that is effective. I'll break it down myself either like you did or something similar.

Lora...Did you do those JJ's and pushups at work??

Shaun...I think you did a good thing by stopping on those lunges. Pain is usually a good sign to stop. You got in a good workout!!

Sabrina...glad you found the rotation useful. Have a wonderful vacation!! I probably won't be checking in before Monday...

Beverly...I need to do some intervals as I haven't done them in a while....maybe tomorrow. Glad your cat came back home...now that he/she has had a night out on the town, you'd better keep your eyes on him/her.

Someone asked if they thought this rotation would cause them to lose muscle....I consider this August 05 rotation more of a "leaning out" type of rotation. You will probably see more definition and more cuts. Since you are still getting in some resistance workouts...you won't necessarily gain strength, but you won't lose any muscle unless of course you don't eat properly. If you are concerned about losing muscle with this rotation, just be sure to eat plenty of proteins. If you want to lose weight, which most do...keep your diet clean, but don't undereat.

Hello Everyone:D,
Gosh you all are making me tired:7 I have not done my workout yet today. I am hoping I GET A GREAT BIG BURST of energy (which I am sure I will;-)) I have been running ALL day!! Today I will do the friday rotation and then MAYBE add on upper body not sure which one?? I guess whatever rocks my boat.

Terri I hope you enjoy the book:D It has really got me getting things done before school starts, and I am liking that :D Dallas I am happy to hear you got a closet done!!! Want to come over and help me with mine:7

Shaun way to go!! I am hoping I can make it through 400, but if not oh well ha ha.

Hi everyone
I guess I missed a couple of checkins. It's so busy here. I started this last night and dh got online so I forgot all about it. Anyway you all look like you are doing great with your rotations.
Here goes Wed: IMAx3 no stretch, GS Back & Biceps minus the warm up, ME & BC core work, Bowflex kneeling crunches, woodchope, Barbell roolouts, Med ball rocket shoots
Thurs: KM w/p and cardio, followed by KPC High Intensity drills,GS Chest & ticeps, Stretch Max w/ band
Today: BC w/u and cardio,Cardio coach vol 3 using Bowflex rowing and the jump rope for the challenges, GS legs, All of the abs from the timesaver dvd it runs around 22min., I added resistance where I could. I am not sure how tomorrow will be the family is coming over early to try and finish our fence and hang out. Hopefully not to early so I can still get in some workout. I had planned abs tomorrow but figured I would get them out of the way today.

Dallas I really like my SJP/BB dvd. I rarely use all of SJP though. I use the premixes a lot. CTX you can use many different ways and have lots of options.

Susan yes it was my daughter that did the walking lunges with a 50 lb barbell.
