Hardcore Fitness Maniacs October 2025!

Hi,

Today I did a OnDemand Pilates hips/balance. I also went for a nice walk outside.

This afternoon I had a live zoom Pilates coaching call: we explored progressions for familiar Pilates moves and focus on performing them with better form. She guided us through a mix of demonstrations, hands-on practice, and time for questions — think of it as a friendly, interactive tutorial. It was very hands on. My core is getting stronger, lol. The pilates push ups were tough on my shoulder/biceps. I don‘t think the shot did a lot for me.

Diane - how are you doing?

Jolie - I have OnDmand too. The instructor had a virus and wasn‘t feeling well. Glad your tooth implant and mom‘s recovering well. Wishing both a speedy recovery. Great job on your workout,

Debbie - nicely done today.

Roselyn - great job.

Good night.

Saturday I did CDorner Cardio 30 minutes, 213 calories, heart rate 144/162, 3,437 steps and a yoga stretch, 35 minutes, 76 calories. Sunday was a rest day and enjoying my grandson's stay. Today I did a full body workout with CDorner and she uses a stability for all of it with some dumbbells. I did not write down the moves. I used 10# and 8# dumbbells. This was from today, 48 minutes, but I had paused the watch and forgot to start it back up right away, so I got 39 minutes at 129 calories. I also tried the foam roller workout she did recently. She said some was exercises and some was rolling. Too much on my back as she did the whole back and rolled with her head way back. I prefer using the roller like Cathe does in the pilates workout. I added some stretches on my own. This was 21 minutes, 40 calories.
Total time today was 69 minutes, 169 calories.
I am sitting here and my dog lying here sleeping at midnight and I heard what sounded like an animal whining. Harvey heard it too. I just looked outside, and a young cat was crying on the patio. I hurried and shut the door so Harvey wouldn't run out the doggie door. I hope the cat leaves as we need to make a bedtime run outside.

Belinda, when do you leave on your trip. I do not like cold wet weather. I hope you have some nice weather there. Nice work on the pilates workouts. That is nice that you are getting some good form pointers and a stronger core. My shoulders and back are hurting. I thought since Chris was working through a back problem it would probably be okay. I had some balance on the ball with fore arms on the floor and it was not helpful for my pain. I don't know if I mentioned it, but the doctor had me stop the medicine. I am still trying to feel rested, because I am sleeping a lot. Getting my appetite back a little though. I am sorry the shot does not seem to be helping.

Roselyn, nice work on glutes and abs today.

Debbie, great job on Raw Box and Pump #8 today.

Roxie, good job on Raw Day #1 4 day split glutes and abs and Sunday's Slim in 10.

Jolie, I am glad to hear your mother is doing well and things are good with the dental implant. Nice work on the walks with your dog.

I woke up so sore this morning that I just could't do much. My body is so tight - I'm sure the result of not taking time to stretch. So I walked on my treadmill for a bit and then did RAW Stretch. Of course I didn't give myself enough time to do the whole stretch workout, but I did most of it and it felt really good.

Treadmill workout was 25 minutes, burned 172 calories, went 1.25 miles, did 2931 steps and HR was119/136.

Roxie - Great job getting week 1 done, sounds like you are enjoying the rotation!

Jolie - Glad your mom is doing better, that is good news!! I'm also glad your tooth implant went well. Have fun with P90X!! I don't think I've lost any weight yet but my clothes are fitting a little better. I hope to do the MT again Thursday.

Roselyn - Great workout!

Belinda - Good job with your Pilates workout!

Diane - We have stray cats all the time and my two cats fight each other because of it. So frustrating!! The vet called in "displaced anger" - they think they are fighting the cat outside, which is really weird. We make sure all our blinds are closed at night because that is when they usually appear. Just don't feed the thing, it will never go away!

Have a great workout today everyone!

Good morning. Today I did P90X Shoulders and Arms and I loved this workout. This is a slow paced workout where you can do 8 to 16 reps depending on your goals and the weight that you chose to pick up. I did 12 reps and went heavier than the last time I did the workout and it felt like I was lifting nothing! Boy, all I can say is taking a break from weights makes such a big difference in being able to go up in weight and making gains. When we did STS we always had the recovery week after the 4 weeks of lifting and I see why she did that before moving onto the next Mesocycle.

Debbie, maybe take an active recovery week with walking and stretching and your body will thank you for it! You have been going hard for a while lately, maybe you just need a short rest? Great job on the rest and the stretch!

Belinda, it sounds like you are enjoying the Pilates classes and walks.

Diane Sue, how fun to have your grandson visiting you, I hope you had a great time! Nice job with the workouts, you are doing great!

Roselyn, nice job on the workout.

Roxie, way to go on the workout and getting that first week in the bag!

85 degrees here today!!!! I am going to lay in the sun and get a tan and read a Christmas book LOL! Have a wonderful day.

Google Afternoon,

I did day 2 again Fine Tuning. These workouts are slow and controlled more balance an core focused so really boring but I neEd them.

Today I did CDorner Cardio Kickbox, 31 minutes, 205 calories, heart rate 136/163 and followed with her Full Body Stretch and Relax, 31 minutes, 61 calories. Total time 62 minutes, 266 calories.

I am freezing today, it is cold outside!! And in here at work, too, for some reason. Brrrr!

This morning I got on my Max Trainer and did the first two challenges of Cardio Coach 6 with Candace. This is a tough one. I did Challenge 1 & 2 which were sprints. The first was 5 - 1 minute sprints with a 1 minute rest. Killer. Then the second one was 5 - 30 second sprints with a 40 second rest. Another killer.I was going to do the 3rd challenge, which was a hill climb but I was dying so I decided to stop and do the rest of RAW Stretch. Had a great workout!

CC# 6 was 33 minutes, burned 233 calories and HR was 123/144. I wrote down the steps but I forgot to take a picture of it. It was around 2000 I think.

Jolie - I think you are right, I plan on taking next week off. I've been going strong with my workouts, the last thing I need is to get injured. And my body is hurting right now. Great job wit P90X, I used to love those workouts. I just get turned off on all the pull ups they do in those workouts. Too much for me now. I know I can sub with band pull downs, but I never feel like I get a good workout doing that. My hangup.

Roxie - I had to LOL at your post. Pilates and all that balancing stuff is boring. But we do need them from time to time. Nice job hanging in there and doing the rotation!

Roselyn - Good job with your workout.

Diane - Great job with you Kickbox workout. I hope you did ok with it with your back and neck.

Have a great day everyone!

Evening

Sorry I forgot to check in yesterday. I did 2 hours of dance and Pilates. Today I did 40 min TB Pilates.

Tomorrow I have 3 appointments scheduled. I will try to get up early to get my workout in. Friday is my DD‘s 40th birthday, we will spent some time with her. She has all kinds of activities scheduled. One is having a sound bath yoga. I am excited.

Diane - we fly on Novemeber 17th - Dec 8th. I hate the cold. Germany is very cold. My shoulder/biceps are not getting any better. I don‘t get it? I need to go back to the doctor. I have neck pain too. I have to take meds if I can‘t move my head anymore. I am suppose to get a shot in my neck soon. I do like that my Pilates teacher is giving form painters, she also tells you the moves to avoid if you have osteoporosis. I usually follow the modifications. Some moves are not good if you in pain. Anything twisting, crunches, rolling down are a few to avoid. Try to avoid them. The instructor isn’t a big fan of heavy lifting. Glad your appetite is back.

Debbie - it‘s freezing here too. The weather changed from one day to the next. Great job on CC 6. Used to love that one.

Jolie - at the moment I will stick with Pilates, my shoulder/biceps are still bordering me. I am afraid to hurt myself lifting heavier.

Good night.

Belinda - I'm sorry you are in so much pain. I hope they can figure out what is going on, that must be horrible. I hate when we have pain and nothing makes it better. Hopefully soon you will get relief.

Diane - Great job with your workout! I hate when I type something and then it disappears. If you accidentally delete something and catch it in time, you can press Ctrl Z and it will undo the last thing you did. Just letting you know.

It was 90 degrees here yesterday and the same for today! I woke up with the worst headache; my allergies are killing me today. I am taking the day as a rest day; I did not sleep well at all and I am so tired. I will make it up over the weekend when it cools down and is not as dry. Yesterday I walked the pup 4 miles very early in the morning, 6am it was already 75 degrees.

Debbie, I would take a rest week, you deserve it! There is no need for us to kill ourselves with our workouts anymore, for what?! Nice job on the workout today.

Belinda, sorry to hear about the pain you are in, have you tried a Nicotine patch. Since I have been wearing one, all of my pain is gone! I used to live in pain and now with 3 mg of a patch every day, nothing! Look on Instagram about Nicotine and the benefits. It is all natural and non-addictive and is putting the pharmaceutical companies out of business. It is the cure to over 500 diseases.

Diane Sue, Great job on the workout!

Roxie, nice job on the workout.

Roselyn, way to go on the leg workout!

Have a wonderful day.

Today I did CDorner Seated or Standing Arms, 25 minutes, 93 calories and Jessica Valant Scoliosis and Kyphosis workouts, 25 minutes, 54 calories. The kyphosis workout uses tubing for some upper back strengthening. I paid 20 dollars for the full 50 minute complete scoliosis workout that uses pilates and physical therapy moves. I downloaded it to my external drive. Now I can do it without advertising throughout. My knee hurts today so I chose something that left out my knees. Actually I missed timing 10 minutes of the arms workout so redid the first part for an accurate reading. Then again I am feeling the extra work. Total time 50 minutes, 147 calories.
Seated Arms 30 seconds work 10 rest
5 circuits
Circuit #1
seated biceps curls alternating with an iso hold, 10# dbs
curl and press 8# dbs
3X
Circuit #2

Debbie, good job on Box and Pump. Our bodies try to tell us when they need some recovery time. We just need to listen. I am not looking forward to winter weather. I like the warmth and sunshine myself. I have used ctrl z, I just forgot. I always keep that written in my agenda book since you told me that a few years ago. Maybe I was just tired. I was ready for bed. Like right now it is after midnight and my dog is waiting to go play ball.

Belinda, I hope the weather is not too cold when you go on your trip. I hope those three appointments went well. I would not like 3 appointments on the same day. I suppose it is more convenient to get them all out of the way in one day. It is nice the instructor gives form pointers and lets you know what is not good for osteoporosis. I have read many things that say no crunches, and rolling the back up and down like that. I have not been big on crunches anyway as they hurt my neck even though I am supporting it. Since all of the spine stuff I have been very careful about doing twisting and rolling the back. Most things I have read says yes build strength, but in ways that do not require heavy weights.

Jolie, nice work on getting in a 4 mile walk with the dog. I cannot imagine 90 degrees. I like warmth, but happy that my electric bill goes down for a while. Last night it got down to 38 and I was outside in a winter coat playing fetch before bed with my dog.

Roxie great job on Raw Butts and Guts day #4.

Good morning

Sorry for not checking in yesterday. We got home very late. I had 3 appointments scheduled. I had a virtual cardiologist appointment. Which turned out great, DH and I were driving to Philly. The cardiologist is running a series of tests on the pulmonary aneurysm. He also is monitoring the aneurysm early. I am happy with that. We did pull over for the virtual,I was afraid to lose signal down the road. It was windy and very rainy. I had my 6 month RP check up at UPenn and had a comprehensive hearing test at Penn as well. We didn‘t get home until late last night. It‘s a 4 hour drive one way. I am exhausted. I had to get up early this morning to drive 2 hours to celebrate DD‘s 40th birthday today. My son/DIL are with DD, they want to visit us tomorrow. So, DD having a sound bath (it‘s a relaxing, meditation) than her and DIL are teaching a yoga class. Not one of her friend thought about bringing a yoga mat? I have to bring all my extra mats. I will try to do after the yoga to do my Pilates workout from yesterday, I already have my yoga mat out, lol. My doctor at UPenn wants me back on infusions. The medication I am on right now isn’t working for RP In her opinion. I am still flaring up. I did get used to not going to the infusion center once a month. Lots to think about.

Diane - try not to do rolling down/crunches/ twisting side to side (she just stretches her arms out, which is better if you have any pain in your neck/back/shoulders. I talked to my doctor at UPenn about pilates/yoga. Doing bodyweight exercises likes Pilates /yoga is strength building and also good for your bones. I don‘t know if I mentioned this? My right hip is bordering me a lot, eventually I need a hip replacement. She encouraged me to continue as long as I can do pilates/yoga. She said even if I need a hip replacement soon, my recovery would be so much faster.

Jolie - thanks for the tip! I heard so much about Nicotine patches. I will mention it to my doctors. I am on too many medications.

Debbie - I have osteoarthritis/arthritis in my neck. They want to give me a shot in my neck, I am not ready for that yet. I take some medication if the pain is unbearable. I try to stay way from it, sometimes I have to take it to relieve my neck pain. How are you doing?

I will be back later tonight if it doesn’t get too late. Happy Halloween everyone.

This morning I did RAW Shadow Boxing 1 and had a great workout. I hate the music in this workout but the workout is fun. I used my 1.5# egg weights.

Workout was 42 minutes, burned 379 calories (surprised me!), Did 3709 steps and HR was 148/175.

I don't have time for personals today. I read all your posts and you all are doing great workouts. I think I am going to take the entire week off next week, I don't even want to do a recovery week. So I'll be on and off this forum for that time. I'll certainly be reading all your posts, though!! Have a great weekend and week next week!
