Good morning,

i hope you all had a great Halloween yesterday. It was my DD’s birthday, we celebrated her birthday in DC. Went out for a nice lunch than went shopping in Georgetown. We had a lovely day. When DH and I came home we gave out candy. We had so a lot of fun. Today we met up with DD and her husband later today.

No workout to report except a lot of walking.

Today I did a Halloween-themed belly dance (I missed it on Friday). So fun. I also did Pilates with the foam roller for the shoulders.

I think I will follow Cathe’s November 26 rotations. I just have to move the work around so it will fit with my dancing.

Have a great Sunday, everyone.

No workouts this weekend. I bought lots of candy and had 2 trick or treaters last night. I filled their baskets with a lot. My son came over for a while yesterday.

Belinda, it sounds like you had a very nice time this weekend. Nice work on the Halloween themed belly dance and Pilates with the foam roller.

Good morning,

I did Cathe Body Blast Push Pull & Pilates.

Diane - sorry only 2 kids showed up. I am sure you grandchildren would love the left over candy, lol.

Have a wonderful day.

This morning I saw that Kelly posted a new Box & Pump workout! I was so excited and did it. It's RAW Box & Pump 10! Great 80's music and fun boxing moves (although some were confusing) and weight work. This is how it went:

Round 1
Boxing
Halo's: 8's - 10 reps (Kelly used 12's on this, I have no idea how she did it!)
Ballerina Squats: 20# - 10 Reps each side
Repeat

Round 2
Boxing
Row to Airplane: 12# - 10 reps each side
Plie Squats: 20 # - 10 reps
Repeat

Round 3
Boxing
Butterfly to OH Tri Extensions: 8's - 10 reps (again, Kelly used 12's, crazy!)
Pulse Squats: 20# - 10 reps
Boxing
Butterfly to OH Tri Extensions: 8's - 10 reps

All Leg moves over again - I did them all

I'm not sure why she didn't do a 2nd set of pulse squats but she did them when she redid the leg work. This was really fun!

Workout was 45 minutes, burned 252 calories, did 2804 steps and HR was 110/139.

So I had a calcium score test a couple weeks ago and the results came back. We should be at a zero and I'm at 618!!!! WTF? So now my cardiologist wants me on 1 aspirin a day plus a cholesterol med and I have to get a stress test. I see him Thursday for my annual appointment so I'll go over all of this with him. Girls, I just don't get it. Why do we do all this work and eat healthy only to have issues like this? It doesn't make any sense to me. I'm really worried about going on a cholesterol med because it is a statin. I hear horrible things about statins. So frustrating.

Diane - We had zero kids this year. We sat outside with our neighbors for an hour and a half and then called it quits. We have several kids on our street, too, so I don't know where they all were? So weird.

Belinda - Sounds like you had a great weekend!! Glad you had some kids for Halloween.

Have a great day everyone!!

Wow, where is everyone?? Quiet.

This morning I did RAW Kickbox #6 and had an ok workout. I had a heck of a time getting my HR up so I put on my egg weights. Not sure why I didn't do that to begin with? Then my HR rose.

Workout was 31 minutes, burned 222 calories, did 2662 steps and HR was 123/168.

I hope you all voted today!! Have a great day!

Yesterday I did Lauren Weight Training with one dumbbell 10# throughout, 35 minutes, HR 95/121, 126 calories. My daughter called and was coming for a visit and bringing mail that would have went to her house. I did the short workout just to get something in. Today I went to vote when I got up and then got to work of planters in front of our house. Somehow I wish the planters were so big. It was really overgrown with grass and weeds. There are some interesting and attractive plants there though along with tons of bulbs. I had to take pictures and look up some of the plants so I know how to care for them. Hopefully I get a workout tomorrow. My knees and back hurt after working outside.

Debbie, good job on Box and Pump 10. It looks like a good one. Sort of the same as some of her others with doing the lower alone at the end again. I don't get it either on the health stuff. I have been careful with my diet so many years and now I go to a cardiologist regularly because of testing, pulmonologist for lung nodules, arthritis doctor and it seems to just go on and on. I go for a chest CT this month. Hoping nothing has changed so maybe I can dump the pulmonologist. I monitor my foods pay for extra nutrition features to be sure I have the right calcium and mostly from food each day and all other nutrients. I don't seem to be getting better. Sorry you have this going on. Good job on getting in the Kickboxing #6 today. I don't usually use the weighted gloves anymore because of my shoulders and back. For me if the workout is just boxing I usually do not burn much in calories and getting my heartrate up.

Belinda, nice work on the zoom dance class, walk outside, and pilates for shoulders. Still praying for your daughter's surgery. I didn't get my voter card early enough with new address. I had to go by myself. My husband's card did not get here. He was not happy missing voting.

This morning i did RAW Burn Out Upper Body and had a really good workout. I like this one, straight up lifting and good exercises except chest work. I did regular bench press and flyes. Kelly does close grip presses and pullovers. I just don't find these two exercises really work the chest muscles very well.

Workout was 43 minutes, burned 225 calories and HR was 111/142.

Belinda - Great job with your Zoom classes and walk outside!! I am praying for your DD, I hope all goes well with her surgery.

Diane - Sounds like you have a lot to do in your new place, but I guess that is normal when you move somewhere new. Your plants sound really pretty, I hope you can get it all weeded out so you can enjoy them next season. Yes, this health stuff is just stressing me out very much. I'm trying not to let it, but I can't help it. Now I'm wondering if I need surgery like my brother did (God, please no!) and what I'll need to do now in the future. So frustrating. If I didn't love working out so much I'd just quit. It seems pointless to me anymore but I can't help but love it. I'm just hoping being fit as we are helps us overcome these issues or at least be able to maintain. If we don't even have that, what's the point? Arrrgggg!!!

Not real happy about Ohio's elections but honestly, what difference does it make? NO ONE works for the people. None of them. I'm so fed up with our government and all the lackey's. I wish I could just ignore it all and not care. Sorry, had to vent.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Good Afternoon,

I did Raw Basic Lifts and I really dislike her sons music and it was to loud.

Debbie-my DH and I take Crestor or Rosuvastatin 5mg and it’s the least harmful of all the of them. I fought for years to stay off of one but when my cholesterol hit 300 I didn’t have a choice.

I’ve been keeping up with my upper body. My hamstring is still bothering me on my opposite leg so I hit something called dry needling done today at PT hoping this helps.

Hi,

Today I did LMR 2 Upper Body. I liked it. I also did a full body foam roller workout.

Today is Sadie’s birthday, she is 8 years old.

DD just let me know there was a mix up in the computer with her appointment tomorrow. She hasn’t heard from them what time to arrive, so she called. I feel so bad for her…she just wants to get it over with. It’s now on the 20th of November.

Diane - great job with your workouts. Sorry going through all the weeds in your garden. I am sure it’s no fun. Taking pictures of the plants is a great idea to identify them. Technology is great sometimes. Sorry your husband voter card didn’t come on time. Glad you got to vote. DH and I voted last week.

Debbie - thanks about DD’s surgery. It’s not until the 20th. She is so bummed for the mix up. Great job on the RAW burn out UB.

Roselyn - great job keeping up with your workouts.

Roxie - great job with Raw basic lift.

Good night.

Today I did Lauren Dance Mash Up and Dance Christmas workouts 47 minutes, 310 calories, HR 133/165 and got in a lot of steps. Today I did some weeding as well and husband and I are painting picture frames that were a antique barn white so they show my paintings better on our cream colored walls. The white was good at our other house and we have antique white Ashley furniture all through the house. Just not good on the walls here and baseboard and stuff is stained wood.

Debbie, good job on Burn Out Upper Body. I don't know, but I think what I do has kept me going pretty well considering I am 73. I doubt I would be the shape I am in if I did not take care of myself. It does get discouraging sometimes. Elections were disappointing. I keep praying for our country and our freedoms. My granddaughter's husband had A-fib the other day. He felt really off and looked at his Apple watch and it told him to go to emergency now. They had to shock him. He is so young for all of that.

Roxie, good job on Raw Basic Lifts. My heart doctor gave me Lovastatin and said it was plant based and the one with the least side affects. It made me dizzy and I had mouth sores every time I tried it. After 3 times I gave up on it. They just told me to keep my BP down and it was okay if I did not take it.
BP was 85/59 yesterday so I was a bit surprised it was so low.

Roselyn, good job keeping up the upper body work. I had dry needling on my upper back area before. Hope it helps you.

Belinda, nice work on LMR 2 Upper Body and a foam roller workout. My favorite plant was called Devils Trumpet. My husband was interested in that one. So different and very pretty.

No workout for me today, I had an appointment with my cardiologist early in the morning. I need to get a stress test done and they can't get me scheduled until Dec. 29th. WTF?? Oh well. I also got my blood tests back and my cholesterol levels are a bit high but only by 5 points. Still waiting for the med to be filled, it was called in on Tuesday. This MyChart being down bullshit is for the birds. It's been down for 3 weeks now. I guess they have to manually send the prescriptions to the pharmacy right now and it's taking them forever. Unbelievable.

Roxie - I think they have me on Rosuvastatin but not sure. I'll find out when I eventually get it. I guess I'd rathe be safe than sorry. If you feel muscle pain in your legs, take CoQ10 200 mg. I take that now to get it in my system before I start taking the med because it is supposed to help with that a lot.

Roselyn - Glad you are still working your upper body. Crazy how your hamstring is doing that. Hope it gets better.

Belinda - Great job on your workout. Happy birthday to Sadie!!! Wow, that sucks about your daughter's surgery. I would hate that. You prepare yourself for it and then told you have to wait. WTH?

Diane - Great job with your workout, too!! Yeah, I guess you're right. We could be obese and just sitting around doing nothing. At least I feel good. I'll do what the doctor tells me, I don't want to risk heart attacks or strokes. Strokes scare me since my mom has them quite frequently it seems.

Have a great day everyone!! Wonder what happened to Jolie?
