Wow, May 1st!! I'm excited that I will be off on summer break before I know it. Can't wait!!

This morning I did STS Meso 2, Shoulders with the back-off sets. Had a great workout!! I changed up the last exercise.

1 minute rest between each set except the back-off sets:

Standing Overhead Barbell Press: 30# - 12/10/8 reps (should have gone heavier)
Back-off Set: 20# - 16 reps

Standing Lateral Raise: 10's - 12/10/8 reps (probably could have gone heavier here, too)
Back-off Set: 7.5's - 12 reps

Upright Rows: 27# - 12/10/8 reps
Back-off Set: 15# - 20 reps
(Cathe does bent over lat raises)

Then I got on my treadmill for 1.12 miles. Had a great workout!

Total workout was 48 minutes, burned 291 calories and HR was 115/140.

Diane - I agree. I don't care for concentration curls for that exact reason. I love hammers. Great job with your workout!

Have a great day everyone!!

Yesterday I got in 5.4 miles of walking the pup. Today I did STS Meso 2 Disc #24 Back and Biceps and had a great workout. This workout was a lot of Drop Sets, which I love, and I am going to be feeling this workout tomorrow. This is the end of this Meso, I am not sure if I am going to repeat it or move onto something else. I may repeat it because I love the workouts, and I am seeing some muscle gains and that it what it is all about right!

Debbie, great job on the shoulder workout and walk today. I love concentration curls; I have no issues at all with the exercise unless I go really heavy.

Belinda, great job on the workout.

Diane Sue, great job on the workout!

Make it a great day.

Belinda, Happy belated Birthday!

Saturday's workout- 3.8 mile walk.
Sunday- I started STS Meso 2 over again, I am enjoying the workouts and thought why not! Disc #13 Chest/Shoulder/Triceps and had a great workout. I went up two pounds in a couple of the exercises for Chest and Shoulders. I am finally seeing more muscle definition compared to when I was doing the CL workouts and the RAW workouts. I like the rest period in these workouts too.
Today's workout was a 3.3 mile walk, it started to rain so I had to high tail it home.

Debbie, great job on the workout today, don't you just love the double wave loads? I also love the drop sets and the back off sets.

Diane Sue, I was reading that if you suffer from low back pains and or hip pain you may be deficient in Vitamin D, K2 with mk4 and mk7 and magnesium. I would add some Zinc into the mix as well as some baking soda with lemon and water. Also, I find that Ivermectin will help with RA and a whole lot of other issues in the body. I am starting a parasite cleanse, and I cannot wait to see how I feel afterwards. Not looking forward to the die off symptoms though...

Make it a great day.

Today I started with Raw Your Healthy Back and stopped when she got to the inch worm move and did Jessica Smith Walk Strong 3 deep stretch, 40 minutes total time, 85 calories. I hurt everywhere and just was not up for a workout. My husband and I went to an Italian restaurant that has become our weekly outing. I always eat too much.

Debbie, good job on Meso 2 Chest and Triceps today.

Belinda, dogwood flowers would be pretty in watercolor. That sounds like a fun way to spend your birthday. It is always nice to get out and enjoy times where there is laughter. Nice work on CL #532 Lets Get Functional workout.

Jolie, nice job on Meso 2 disc 13 chest, shoulders, and triceps. That is great you are seeing the results. I wish I could lift heavy again. Good job on today's walk. I am using AlgaeCal D3 Complete that has D3, A K, and E with mixed tocotrienols to cover that. I recently added Bulletproof zinc with copper. Also am using AlgaeCal calcium and extra magnesium if I come out short on magnesium be bedtime. I also added Life Extension B Complete Complex. Everything I can to help with bone density. I see my Arthritis Doctor the 21st as they moved up the appointment. Hopefully I can get some help. Good luck with the parasite cleanse. Whenever I have tried using a detox supplement (like from Ancient Nutrition) I am usually miserable.

Today is a rest day. My body is sore and tired, and I woke up with sore feet from all of the walking I have done. I will get in a 2 mile walk this afternoon with the pup and that will be it.

Diane Sue, have you tried Nicotine Patches for your RA and pain management? I am going to start this weekend; it is supposed to be amazing for pain. I am buying the lowest dose patch and will cut it into 4 pieces and put it on every day. I am seeing a lot of people see big changes in the pain in their bodies. It is great for auto immune disorders too as well as many other issues in the body. Do you take baking soda with lemon water? You might want to try this, it does wonders for me!

I hope you all have great workouts today!

Hi,

Today I did a dance workout. No walk today, too rainy outside.

Diane - Raw Your Healthy Back and Jessica Smith Walk Strong 3 deep stretch. Sorry you in a lot of pain. Give your body some rest. How fun going out to eat weekly.

Jolie - glad you listen to your body. Do you drink the baking soda + lemon? I am going to have to try those patches.

I will be back later. Need to run some errands.

This morning I did RAW Heavy Bag/Shadow Boxing with Kelly and her son, Zach. Love this workout, it is my favorite. Used my 1.5# egg weights.

Workout was 40 minutes, burned 308 calories, did 2567 steps and HR was 136/169.

Diane - I'm sorry to hear you are hurting all over right now. I hope is goes away soon. We have an Italian restaurant we are going to take my mom to that we all love, it's called Sorrento's. Great place and it's never that crowded when we go. It probably will be on Sunday, though. I get how you can overeat on Italian food, it is the best!!

Jolie - great job with your workouts lately, you are killing it. Are you also having pain? Aren't nicotine patches actually nicotine? i'm not sure I'd want that in my body. How can that be healthy for you? Loving Meso 2. I have two more weeks and then I don't know what I want to do. I want to keep building muscles, though, I'm looking pretty good lately. Need to drop about 5#, though.

Belinda - The watercolor class sounds amazing! I used to paint when I was in high school and was pretty good at it. I probably couldn't do it now, though. But I always enjoyed painting and drawing when I was a kid.

Where is Roselyn? I she on vacation or something? Hope she's ok.

Have a great day everyone!!

Today I did Jessica Smith Walk Strong 3 Cardio Hiit (I always forget this one is a light kickboxing workout) 30 minutes, 174 calories, heart rate 126/172. I followed with STS 2 Chair yoga 24 minutes, 47 calories. Total time 54 minutes, 221 calories. I am getting an MRI of my thoracic spine Thursday morning.

Jolie, it sounds like a rest day was in order. I have not read anything about using nicotine patches for pain. My doctor told me to use lidocaine patches of my ribs, and I could cut them. I did use them for a while till I realized they were the reason I broke out in an itchy rash. I have not tried lemon juice with baking soda. I have used them separately. I tried baking soda in my coffee to cut acid, but it tastes nasty even with a pinch. I use some baking soda when I have acid reflux since I do not use the Prilosec the doctor prescribed. It messes with calcium absorption.

Belinda, nice work on the dance workout today. It has been raining here all day too. Harvey thinks we need to go play ball outside in the rain.

Debbie, nice work on Raw Heavy Bag/shadowboxing. The Italian restaurant is pretty quiet when we go. Sometimes we are the only ones there as we usually go mid afternoon so it is dinner/lunch. The owner chats with us all of the time. She gave us one of their menus to take home. There are so many yummy things to try. I usually do not eat bread, but they bring that bread bowl out and I cannot resist, and meals are pretty large helpings. This one is in a 50 plus neighborhood off the main street so really is a little different. We lived here 3 years and kept mentioning the sign on the main street. The wallpaper on one wall is all of their Italian family over the years and their start up restaurants which is quite interesting.
