Today I did Kelly's RAW Weights 1 and had an excellent workout. I like this one, it's tough.

Tabata style, 20 seconds on/10 seconds off. 8 rounds each exercise.

Biceps
Dumbbell Curls:
15's (4 rounds)
Hammer Curls: 15's(4 rounds)
(alternated between the two)
BW Squats - Skipped

Shoulders
Shoulder Press:
20# (used only one dumbbell so it was more of a front shoulder exercises) - 4 rounds
Upright Row: 15# (one arm at a time) - 4 rounds
(alternated between the two)
BW Alternate Lunges - Skipped

Back
Lawnmowers:
20# (alternating sides)
BW Curtsy Lunges - Skipped

Triceps
Overhead Triceps Extensions:
15# (4 rounds)

I skipped planks due to time and due to the fact that I hate them.

Workout was 46 minutes, burned 213 calories, HR was 103/135.

Belinda - Glad your knees are fine, that is great news!! I'm now scared to have that eye surgery you had. I know I will need it soon. I'm sorry they screwed yours up so bad, that is just not right. I am doing fine, actually. Just knee tweaks every now and again but nothing major. My upper back has been great. Hope it stays that way!

Roxie - Wow, you guys are getting really high and low temp swings there! We have only reached around 72 so far but then it goes back down to 30. I hate spring. They are saying major storms on Thursday night. Great...

Diane - Does Cathe do Gloved Up & Sweaty? I think I asked you this before. Is it good? Is it one of her usual high intensity workouts? I love the name of it, it sounds like fun. Great job with your workouts! What is wrong with you DH? I hope it's nothing major.

Debbie - I am getting a second option on my eye soon. Just need to find the time. Don‘t be scared getting it done, I am sure mine was 1 in a million, lol. I would do all over again. Glad your back in knees are doing better. Cathe does have a similar like Gloved up

Diane - great job on your KB and mobility workout. Yeah, running up hills and stairs will hurt your knees. Teach your dog to bring the ball to you, lol. Just kidding! My knees doing great since I don‘t do hills or a lot of steps. I hope you feel better soon.

Good Evening,

Had another 90 degree day. I did Box A Better Waistline this morning then I had an eye doctor appointment in Leawood which is an hour and a half away an while I was being checked out DH found a nice walking path so we did 2.49 miles.

Today I did the Elliptical for 15 minutes, 120 calories, heart rate 142/155. I started it at first with my Garmin set on yoga :rolleyes: I just estimated the outcome with the time I did it in cardio mode. I think the machine does do the calories etc. if you wear a strap that comes with it. I like that it had a place where I could put my tablet. I then did LMR Elevated Lower Body, 59 minutes, 244 calories, heart rate 107/140. Total time 74 minutes, 364 calories. My hip flexors are bothering me and I could really feel it on the Elliptical.

Debbie, good job on Raw Weights 1 today. Gloved Up and Sweaty is a Cathe workout. She did, I think 3 workouts just calling the 2023 workouts. I like all 3. Yes, I like gloved up and sweaty. It is pretty much low impact throughout. There are some low impact burpees in it. She gives suggestions for some moves. We are not sure yet what my dh problem is. Nothing showed in x rays of the bones. They think it is partly a pinched nerve or sciatica. They want the mri to be sure what it is. They gave him two injections and gabapentin. He is having problems walking on it.

Belinda, nice work on SBF TB Barre + pilates abs. I pulled out the chuck it toy and went out into the large open area to toss the ball and my dog was pretty tired when he was done bringing it back and jumping in the air to catch it. I was back to far at first and had to get the ball out of the pool. Yea, I do not enjoy fetching the ball myself. I kept him off the hill and myself climbing rocks today.

Roxy, nice work on Box a Better Waistline today. 90 out here today as well. I waited till the sun started going down to really play with my dog this evening.
 
This morning I did RAW Cardio Crush and had a good workout. My cardio stamina is zilch. I'm not sure what happened but damn, this was hard. I think doing Caroline for 6 weeks and hardly no cardio was what caused this. I need to get my cardio going again.

Workout was 39 minutes, burned 276 calories, (my calorie burns have been so low lately, WTF?), did 2969 steps and HR was 126/156.

Every pair of pants I have are so tight anymore, it is really bumming me out. I'm not sure what's going on but I have gained some weight lately. I know my eating has been off so I'm trying really hard to limit what I eat during the day. It's hard as I love to eat and snack. :( I need to do something, though.

Belinda - Well I'm glad you would do your eye surgery all over again, I hope you find out what is going on though, that is not good.

Roxie - Wow, 90 degrees, that is crazy. Nice job walking that 2.4 miles path. My DH and I are planning on hitting parks this summer. Can't wait!!

Diane - Great workout on the Elliptical. I've been wanting to get on my Max Trainer but when I'm looking at it at 5 in the morning I'm like no way!! Hopefully when I'm on spring break and then summer break I will start using it again. I need to, my cardio stamina sucks right now. I will check out those Cathe workouts, I'm sure I'll have to download them now since the DVD is probably gone. But I'll look for it. I'm sorry to hear about your DH, that is terrible!! Hopefully they can figure it out soon.

Good Afternoon,

93 degrees and 40 mile an hour winds couldn’t hardly walk straight to my car after work. I did TBTS Pull then a 1.33 mile walk on the treadmill since I couldn’t walk outside and I really hated it. I know tomorrow it’s going to have to be the treadmill again they are saying high 58 and windy again then headed to DDs house for girls weekend

Evening,

Today I did SBF Upper body und dancing.

I had my permanent crown put on this afternoon. They ask me if I could come today. I have no pain in that tooth anymore. Glad I went today, my crown didn‘t fit :( My molars started to shift in over a week. My orthodontist cut off the last 2 molars from my retainers to give the temporary crown room. They ensured me my teeth wouldn‘t shift. They were wrong. My dentist also did the nighttime-only aligners for my Ortho. I was told by my ortho front desk, I had to wait 2 weeks before my aligners come in. My dentist and ortho like just around the corner. After I was done with the crown, I went to my ortho explained to them I need a 3 D printer aligner asp. The Ortho office I go, their printer wasn‘t working. They are getting me a temporary 3D aligner from another office, it will be ready on Saturday. I spent way to much $$$ on my teeth on Invisalign, I will not go through my teeth shifting again. I spent 5 years wearing Invisalign. My first Ortho didn‘t know what she was doing.


Debbie - once my appointment schedule lightens up I will get a second opinion. Need to find a good surgeon too. I feel your pain on gaining weight. I am right there with you, lol. Love food. If you want those DVD’s Cathe still has them for a bargain price.

Diane - glad you found a way not climbing up hills and stairs. I am all for open areas, easier on your body plus your dog still gets to enjoy fetching the ball.

I am beat. I have an appointment early in the morning.

Today it seems my arthritis is flaring. I do not know why. I did lower body yesterday and the pain is all arms, neck, back and pretty much upper body. I did Elevated Flexibility and Core 41 minutes, 109 calories. I had a mess up and stopped my watch and restarted so I had to add the two readings together. I then did LMR bonus low impact cardio, 14 minutes 97 calories, heart rate 135/154. I have to modify some of the flexibility and core moves.
 
So I am 60 years old today. I cannot believe it. I sure don't feel like it! I'm thankful I am so healthy and everyone tells me I look 40! So that is a good thing. I was going to workout but for some reason when my watch went off I must have shut it off, I never woke up. Oh well, it was nice sleeping an extra hour.

Belinda - Wow, sorry to hear about your teeth. How frustration!! Thanks for that link, I might just grab those DVD's.

Diane - Sorry to hear you are in pain today. I hope it isn't ongoing. How frustrating!!

Roxie - Yep, we had 80 degrees yesterday, horrible storms last night and now its 30 out. Crazy weather!!

Roselyn - Glad you are feeling better!! Jolie is fine, she updated us a couple of days ago. Go back and check it out.

I got a workout in today!!!! It felt so good to lift weights again, but I am extremely weak. I know I will regain my strength I just have to be patient. Thank you for all of the kind words regarding my dad, I truly appreciate it. I just signed up for Cathe Live workouts because I figure that is a good place to start with so many workouts to choose from. Today's workout was Vertical Loading #2, I did well with the weights and I did all body weight exercises for legs, and I feel like a pulled a muscle in my inner thigh. My muscles are probably in shock :) My goal is to get in 3 weight workouts a week to start out and then see how much time I have the other days since I walk the pup 3 miles everyday.

I have to go back and read all of your posts to see what you are doing for your workouts. I need some ideas on what to do going forward besides the Live workouts. I am so glad to be back. I have missed all you ladies so much, you have been my support system for the last 20 years. Can you believe that? 20 years!!! I am pushing my mom to become independent so when she goes into assisted living for a few months, she will be able to survive in a good way and keep progressing forward. I told her she can only live with me if she tries hard to be self-sufficient in most things and she is doing a good job of trying, that is all I can ask for.

Today we are going shopping to get her dressed and out of the house! BTW, I will be terribly sore tomorrow :)

Great job on the workouts everyone, you have all done such a good job this year. I need to catch up with you all.

Diane- I feel that intermittent fasting helps keep my arthritis in check. Nothing to fuel the inflammation right.

Evening,

Today I did Barre interval plus Pilates with the small ball + broomstick. Both workouts were short and fun. DH had his post op follow up appointment today. He can start workout out tomorrow, he is very excited.

Jolie - amazing job with vertical loading #2. You will have fun with CL. You probably are exhausted with all the stress you been through. Before you know it you right back were you left off. WOW, it has been that long? 20 years went by fast. You guys are like family and an enormous support.

Debbie - Happy 60th birthday. Make sure you celebrate your special day. those are very nice compliments. You are welcome on the link. I picked up a few things at that price.

Diane - I am so sorry your arthritis is flaring. I hope you feel better soon. Great job on keeping up with your workouts.

I had a Ortho appointment to pick up my temporary retainer until the permanent once’s come in.

I set my alarm to 4 am this morning to workout. I just couldn‘t get up to workout, I hardly slept last night. After my appointment I did Pilates with weights and SBF Interm weights.

I walked the pup 3.6 miles yesterday. Today's workout was a new one for me and I loved it. I did Cathe Live Upper Body Pump # 344, a high rep weight workout that worked each muscle and there was a good core segment at the end. This is a slow and controlled weight workout, one that I know all of you would enjoy. Cathe uses a ball in some parts of the workout, but I just used a bench and an incline bench. I will be sore tomorrow; this I do know :)

Belinda, I cannot get up that early anymore because my house is so busy in the evenings that I do not go to bed my regular time lately.

My oldest son is moving back to Reno, NV in a week or so, he got a big promotion, and I am so proud of him. My youngest son goes into the Marines at the end of May, and I am terrified because of what is going on in the middle east. My mom will be with me till mid-April and then will go into assisted living for a few months to get her doctor's appointments finished. I have been living with here for a full week now and I have some concerns. She is so forgetful, by not like Dementia, from her brain surgery. I wonder if she will be ok in the assisted living. I will have her caretaker come on each day or every other day to check on her and to work with her to clear out her house that we are going to sell. This will be a very big project. I have the worst anxiety attacks the past few months, they have completely crippled me.

Today was a live zoom 2 hour dance workshop. So fun. Than I did a live zoom class Centered and In Control (abs/balance). I had trouble with my balance from the tear in my hip/hamstring tear. My balance is defiantly getting better.

Jolie - sometimes I don‘t have a choice to get up at 4 am to get a workout in. I would never workout. Especially when I have a lot of appointments on the same day. Congratulations on your son‘s promotion and your youngest going into the Marines. I am sorry you going through so much with your mom. You taking good care of your mom. Do you have siblings that can help with the house or other things to help? Hang in there! Great job on your walk and CL344.

Diane - how are you doing? How long are you planning on living with your DD? It‘s probably a lot of adjustment on both sides.

Yesterday, I did Elevated Upper Body 45 minutes, 136 calories and part of a live Stretch and flow. Too many not so good moves for my spine in that stretch.
Friday I was limited on time and just did an Upper Body mobility workout, 67 calories. I have to work around things to get workouts in.

Debbie, happy 60th birthday. I usually do well getting up with my watch waking me. Although it is probably because I worry that I won't wake up if I have an appointment and I do a lot of clock watching all night. Rest is sometimes better than the workout anyway.

Jolie, it is good to see you are back into your workouts. I hope things settle down for you soon and your mother does well. I find diet does make a difference with inflammation. I have been reading a lot of stuff about cortisol affecting health lately. I am not always eating well right now. My daughter orders Hello Fresh meals 4 days a week and they are trying to eat healthy, and they encourage my grandson to stick to running for an event, so they all run every evening. My husband has been taking me out to get food a lot and I have discovered Coffee Chip Gelato and eat it at night :rolleyes:. No wonder the pain is coming back. Along with climbing the rock and hills and swinging the chuck it ball stick for my dog. My right arm hurts from that and knee is not so happy. I have to make many trips up and down the stairs. Generally, I do not eat sweet stuff and eat a lot of protein and vegetables. My dog stole my hamburger that my husband bought me for lunch today. I went upstairs to get some coffee and came back and the dog had taken my hamburger wrapper and all off the coffee table my husband set it on. I have my stability ball with me but have not really wanted to inflate it because it takes up more space. There workout room has lots of equipment in it already.

Belinda, nice job on the 2 hour dance workshop today and zoom Centered and In Control. I keep working on balance. My right side has a lot harder time balancing than the left. I am not sure how long. My husband was looking at some homes on Zillow. We need to wait to see what he needs done after the mri he is getting Tuesday.
 
OMG, I didn't wake up again this morning to workout!! My watch went off but it didn't wake me. I decided to start using my Echo to wake me up so I set it up this morning to do just that. WTF?? I'm usually awake way before my alarm goes off so I'm not sure what is going on. Our cats have been really quiet in the mornings so that might be why. They usually wake us up around 3:30 and then I'm only lightly sleeping until 4:30. So that must be why my watch isn't waking me. I really wanted to workout this morning, too. I had a bad weekend of food due to my 60th birthday so I really wanted to get my body moving.

Oh well.

Great job on your workouts everyone!! I will be back at it tomorrow. I'm thinking about joining Cathe live. I'm going to go check out the price right now.
