Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for April

Roselyn, CVX is from P90X 3. It is a core based cardio workout. He uses weights for some of it. Only about 30 minutes unless they have the 12 minute cold start included. I didn't get that one on mine. I got Plyometrics. .

Hi, I just wanted to pop in your Check-In. I often read along in your check-in b/c I find your workouts very inspiring! All the talk here about Body Beast made me take the plunge! I just purchased the basic package for $49. Keep up the good work here ladies!

Stacey, Body Beast is a good program and I am sure you will enjoy the way it is set up. It was nice for me having something different from a lot of training programs. It is nice to have you pop in here. That was a good price for the workouts.

Today I did Body Beast - Bulk: Shoulders. I had a great workout and love this one. My shoulders were burning. Funny thing, though, I haven't really gotten too sore doing these workouts. I wonder why??

I then got on the treadmill and walked for 1 miles. I missed Cardio Coach this week, this bulk phase doesn't have much cardio in it.

Hi Stacy! Feel free to join us! We'd love to have you on our check-in's!! Body Beast is awesome!!!!

Today I did Tracey Staehle's High Intensity Step Mix 2, 90 minutes, 539 calories. I haven't done that one in a long time.

Debbie, I don't remember being really sore but I did get great results with Body Beast.

This morning I did Tracey Staehle's Parts, two different mixes. One was the all BOSU and Balance 48 minutes and the other was Pilates, Abs, Yoga, and Stretch, 30 minutes. That is all that I had time for today.

Today I did Body Beast - Bulk: Chest again. I upped my weights a bit but that's hard to do with these workouts. I really, really like these workouts.

I also walked on my treadmill for 1 mile.

Hope you all have great workouts and day!!

Today I did X 10 Fat Burning Circuit, 29 minutes, 144 calories. I then did Kelly Coffey 30 Minutes to Fitness Muscle up Full Body mix, 67 minutes, 295 calories. Total time 96 minutes, calories burned 439.

Today I did Body Beast - Bulk: Legs. Had an EXCELLENT workout. My legs were rubber after that one!!! No walk on the treadmill, no time. No need, really!! LOL!!!

Hi again. I'll be getting my Body Beast set hopefully by the end of the week! I have a few questions I hope you could answer/shed some light on. First I'm an endo-meso body type and my goal right now is Fat Loss. I have a good muscle base from doing Cathe for many years, but honestly my diet has never really been consistently good so I just look "bulky" (hate that word) and no real definition. I want to use Body Beast not to bulk or build as the descriptions say but to preserve my muscle and hopefully gain some strength as well. I will be cutting back my cals a bit so I know my recovery won't be as quick and I'm also accepting that I may not be able to do all the BB reps, I just want to shoot for progressive overload/progress. I don't feel it will be necessary, and it may even be detrimental to my goal, to add in cardio. However, for stress relief I do find it helps after a long week at a high paced job. I have the Ruthless set which are 20 minute more cardio based workouts but have never done them yet. Would BB and Ruthless on alternate days be over zealous? Also Debbie I notice you are just walking now on the treadmill, is that just personal preference? Last summer I did my first STS rotation and was running about 2 miles twice a week on alternate days and on the 3rd cardio day I only walked. I actually gained weight and my shirts were too tight. I did get a stronger upper body but hated how I looked. I will blame most of that on bad diet and less on my body type and some hypertrophy. At 5'1" I am not looking to be a Hulk. I appreciate any words of wisdom you ladies have! Thanks!

Stacy,

I have Ruthless and use them along with BB, i have done Ruthless after lifting with BB and use them also on cardio days too.

Today was Bulk Legs for me, and some crossfire cardio this afternoon

Today I did Cross Fire with Core mix, and finished with Les Mills Pump Flow, 84 minutes, 483 calories.

Stacey I hope that you get your answers and am glad that you are here. I tend to bulk on upper body easily with less weight than a lot of workouts have. On the other side, I tend to not build on lower very much. I always figured it was the cardio. I think that most suggestions are shorter Hiit workouts to keep the muscle and then mostly weights. Maybe if you lower the weight a bit for upper and hit the lower heavier with a few days of Hiit a wee?. I would try that more myself but I am sure that you know that I had to have knee surgery and am working around that so trying to get a good Hiit workout in is hard for me. I can only do them intermittently. I know that you did not address me but, I read fitness information all of the time. Thought I would add my two cents anyway:)

Today I did Body Beast - Bulk: Arms. Had another great workout. For the concentration hammer curls I just did regular hammer curls. My arms were burning doing it that way. I'm not fond of concentration anything. I also got on my treadmill for 1 mile.

My legs are sore but not as bad as I thought they'd be.

Stacy, I'll be back later to give you my opinions. I am also a meso body type.

No workout for me this morning. I got home late last night and was really tired this morning so I slept in. My upper back is bothering me a bit as well, so I figured I'd skip the back workout and do shoulders tomorrow.

Hope you all have great workouts!!!

Today I did Ripped with Hiit Low Impact Hiit 1 scrambled mix, 28 minutes, 200 calories. I then did X Train Legs mix standing and ball and chair, 40 minutes, 186 calories. My workout was 68 minutes and calories burned 386
