Happy Canada Day to you too, Shelley! The weather in Edmonton is absolutely perfect, so I think we're going to be able to enjoy it.

Caren - you could be in for a treat! Every year (unless this has changed recently) Michigan and Windsor co-host a Canada Day/4th of July fireworks bonanza over the river. It's reputed to be quite the display. I don't know what day they do it, though. I think they alternate between July 1 and July 4.

Pinky - oh yes, pancake breakfasts and evening fireworks are the core of Canada Day, in my experience. Here in Edmonton it gets dark very late, so our fireworks display doesn't start until 11pm. I'll be in bed long before that starts.......
