Happy 4th of July!!!!

So what's everyone doing today? I have a full day planned -- a training run (I'm not used to saying things like that! :eek:), a little grocery shopping, and then we're going to my MIL's to fire up the grill for a cookout. My SIL from L.A. is here and we're enjoying her company.

It's supposed to thunderstorm the rest of the day here, so I'll be chillin' (a nap sounds good right about now, LOL!)

We have a kiddie parade @ 130, then regular parade, then kiddie carnaval (with all the yummie carnaval foods),...then back home for lunch & relaxation until the fireworks!!!

I'm so excited, it's a fun-packed day in celebration of our wonderful country!!
 
Happy Fourth O'July from the Twin Cities!

I did my customary extended pool workout this a.m. with my workout buddy, and we darn near had the whole pool and other pool and other other pool all to ourselves! The aqua instructor for the scheduled class played a great mix of patriotic American songs ("America The Beautiful", "God Bless America", and "Battle Hymn of the Republic") for her cooldown while Diana and I were pounding away in the diving well. Totally cool, literally and symbolically.

I'm one worked-out little puppy now; feel more like a squid than a skeletal-based humanoid. Naptime looms.

Nothing too exciting for us! Just spent most of the afternoon at the Apple store having my other baby looked at (battery issue). We're going to the fireworks later tonight and that's about it!

Happy 4th everyone! My family and I have spent this past week on the Outer Banks of NC. Tonight we will do a bonfire on the beach and fireworks with some new friends we just made. Then it's home and back to reality tomorrow.
