I can't even hold a 3 lb. weight in my left hand it hurts so bad. Dr. says rest it for 7-10 days, alternate ice/heat and take ibuprophin for the pain. It's a pain alright, a pain in the a#$!!!!!!!! Now do I start w/ meso 3 when I can lift again?????

I would talk to your dr. about it, but my first reaction is no way. I injured my shoulder jumping in to meso 3 on a sort of undulating rotation. Wouldn't you be really annoyed if you had a second injury after dealing with this?

Generally speaking, after an injury, you should slowly build back up to the level you were at when the injury occurred and stay there a while, making sure this level is now a secure place for then injured body part, before progressing onto future challenges and levels of difficulty.

Go back and re-do the early days of Meso 2, or even late days of Meso 1 and make sure that joint is stable before progressing and challenging it further.

Thanks, I thought of this last night. i think I'll start over w/ Meso 2. Thanks

My opinion? Err on the side of caution.

If holding a 3 lb. weight is that painful, then I would consider either taking a break from weight lifting for a little while or doing a non-STS rotation with very light weights.

I say this as someone who developed tendonitis in my wrist (it happened in March ’09 from a weight lifting injury) which ultimately required surgery this past February. For most of the past 13 months, I have not lifted weights. I attempted STS twice after getting some relief from cortisone treatments, but I could not get past the first meso.

I am pleased with the progress I’ve made post-surgery, but it will be awhile before I get back to where I was. Tendonitis, as I've learned, is nothing to fool with.

Good luck!
