Goin' INSANE with the Damage Control ~ Monday 10/5

So somehow I managed to completely ignore my alarm this morning and slept until 6:30 when I finally heard DS's alarm go off :confused: NOT the best way to start the week. Needless to say, Day 1 of recovery week is turning out to be a BUST :( Hopefully later I'll be able to get CC&B in. If not, it's on tap for the next 5 days anyway ;)

Lori: You crack me up teasing Wendy like that! Too funny.

Wendy: Thank you for posting your eats! That looks really good and doable for sure. I think the 1500 calorie mark is probably more where I need to be, even though the Insanity formula says 1700. Good job hitting those macros. What was your final snack?

Diana: PCC and spinning! You are one tough chick ;) I really don't know how you do it. Yeah, I intended to follow Shaun's nutrition program from the beginning, but that has flown right out the window :rolleyes: Working on reapplying myself this second month though to really see results.

Morning Girls,

I'm heading down for Muscle Max and am so looking forward to it. I'm running a tad behind this morning so may have to skip the abs. I got in plenty of ab work yesterday so no worries there.

Jen-I would hate getting up to an alarm everyday. It's such a rude awakening. Good luck on the nutrition front. I try to stay right around 1600-1650 cals for me.

Hey Ladies!

Since I did weights y'day and never did get in any cardio later on, I am going to attempt one of Insanity's month 1 work outs to get myself back into the groove. I've decided to put off starting Month 2 until next Monday to give the last of my cold a chance to beat feet so I'll be on track with all of you after all! Anyway, I'm askeered all over again though like it's my first time trying Insanity! :eek:

Jen, My last snack was greek yogurt which brought my #s to this: 1579 calories and 27% P/ 30% F/ 43% C so it worked out well. So are you really gonna do the recovery work out 5 or 6 times? It's a good work out but not THAT good. NOTHING is THAT good IMO! LOL Sorry you overslept this morning. It happens to all of us though. I didn't want to get out of bed when my alarm went off at 6 this morning...even though I went to sleep at 9! :rolleyes:

Diana, Hope you enjoyed MM and didn't have to cut too much out of it to make it work time wise for you. Congrats on the 1# loss. Anything lost is always better then nothing! Be good today and tmrw morning you'll probably see more of a loss! I am sure the 2 meals eaten out did not help so let it get out of your system and you'll be fine! :)

Guess that's all for now. I've eaten lunch. Just gonna do a little housework while I digest and then it's time to get busy. I just hafta decide which M1 Insanity vid I'm gonna torture myself with though! LOL

Hello ladies ..

I had another whirlwind weekend .. but stayed at home .. LOL. SAT SIL and I did Insanity Max Interval Circuit .. it was a FUN workout .. I dont think it is near as hard as the first disc (can you tell that disc whooped me) .. it was longer .. but the circuits broke the monotiny .. I thought I was fun!!! I DONT like those moving pushups .. I think he does the moves way too fast to gain anything .. so I do my own pushups during those .. SUN DH and I burned our hunting fields .. then I cooked a home made pizza .. it was DELISH .. I was too full to exercise so I piddled around the house ... just felt like a slug .. Today I am in another office .. UGH .. I asked SIL to teach my class :confused: she said she would .. hope she doesnt hurt herself .. told her to call me if she had another spell ..she goes to the DR trmw .. so that is good ... she hasnt had another spell since the prv weekend ... so i am hoping it was fluke w/her sugar levels ... not eating enough ..

So today i am going home and doing Insanity .. we skipped plum over our recovery week ... so i might try the recovery disc .. OR say WTH and go on and tackle the hard Max Plyo ??? we will see how I feel when i get home .. LOL!!!

Wendy glad to hear the cold is clearing out .. woohooo .. funny about feeling like you are starting over w/Insanity .. that first disc is a killer .. has a distinct dreadfactor ... but once done man what an accomplishment!

Jen .. I couldnt sleep all weekend .. and if I knew how to work the snooze button on my alarm I would have .. Buster woke me up around 4:40 having some sort of fit .. not sure if he was dreaming .. or if he got choked .. but it scared the crap outta me ..

Hey Girls!

I hate it when its late when i check in. DS is in bed and of course, I had a tiny snooze right along with him. He decided that we should start our day @ 6:17 and when I sat down to post....he also decided that we were going to another room. From there one thing led to another....laundry...house work...2 of my GF came by for coffee...workout...you get the pic!

So yesterday my only workout was the UB stuff I did in the a.m. I was just to tired last night to do anything I think I needed a rest day:) My run today was alot better b/c of it. This training schedule isn't easy, plus work, and not sleeping enough....ugh....I feel like I need a really, really, good nights sleep! But of course, the little cat nap I have with DS throws a monkey wrench into everything and when I go to bed, Im not tired...just a cycle.

Todays run was CC#5, I think that one is my fav. I was gonna do #8 b/c of the hills but I wanted some interval work to ,so I got a bit of both. Im thinking (if I go to bed early enough) setting my alarm to run before DH goes to work tomorrow morning. Our weather is the pits and its suppose to rain for the next week...on top of the week we have already had:confused::confused::confused: So my running will have to be done inside, early in the morning, lunch time with DH comes home or in the night, after DS is gone to bed.

Jen** Ah....I love to tease:) You don't mind doing the same workout 5 x's this week? I am wondering if I will be able to follow the Insanity rotation. I don't like doing the same workout over and over.

Wendy** So you are feeling much better. Good choice re:waiting for month 2. Did you eat anything today? I didn't so I think I will be down 5 lbs tomorrow morning!:p

Diana** Love MM! How was work today?

Laura** My race date is Oct 18th:) 2 weeks from yesterday. I am ready for it now ( I think) . My training this year was alot more challenging then last years:) Im wondering how much time, if any, I will cut off of my time. Last year I did it in 1:43 but its the kind of race you don't really want to set a PR for. Alot of hills and who knows...could be a awfully windy day!:confused:

We are trying to plan a couples trip to Cuba in April, thats what the coffee meeting was about today:) I soooo need to get away but we are talking about 6 monthes away yet!!! Com'on spring!

Hi ladies,

No chance to check in from work today...all Heck has broken out at work...lots of issues.

I had to skip triceps and abs this morning in order to get to my meeting in time. I will do the triceps prior to CC&B tomorrow morning. I'm going to try for a total body workout alternating with CC&B this week. I'm seriously missing weight training and it shows.

Wendy-Nice job with PCC. I previewed a little of CC&B and one of the month 2 workouts. I see they are about an hour each.

Jen-I won Shaun's Hip Hop Abs from ebay. I probably won't have them until some time next week. The video clips make them look so fun...just putting it out there for yah since you **heart** Shaun!

Laura-so did you totally skip the recovery week??? I did preview it and thought I should be doing it to get better at the level 1 drills. It looks like you do most of the drills from the month 1 w/o's, but for 1 minute and a much more reasonable pace. Glad SIL is going to the dr. I get that way after I donate blood, and i've been doing it every 8 weeks for years. Now that I'm older i'm noticing some short term side effects from it.

Lori-so you're already planning next year's vacation...that sounds wonderful! We're not in that boat yet but will be heading up to my parents (soon to be ours) condo this weekend. DH works for the State and they have implemented mandatory furlough days so he has Friday and Monday off. I took off Mon and Tues. We can't go up there until after DS's football game. They are in the playoffs and we haven't heard what time they play.
