Getting it done for August!!!

Hey!

I am done with S&G! Wow sweaty mess but great cardio/body weight workout. :)

The burpees and sliding push-ups are tough but getting better. ;)

Belinda: Awesome job on your weight workout! :) I hear ya on the wanting it done right the first time and great on saving cash too! People don't really put the time and effort into doing it right these days. It will get done and you will be happy too. That is all that matters. :)

Hey Everyone,

I’ve “unplugged”! Well sort of. After summer classes I was ready to just stay away from the computer unless absolutely necessary…

Last weeks WO’s:
Mon: REST
Tues: To the Max
Wed: Meso 2- Disc 22 (?) Tris, Chest, Shoulders
Thurs: Imax 3 (1-5 intervals)
Fri: Meso 3 – Plyo Legs
Sat: Rest
Sun: PIYO Lesson 22
Mon: Meso 1 – Biceps/Back
Today: Cross Fire (Also have yoga tonight!)

I’ve looked at myself in the mirror lately and even though my weight hasn’t gone up I “look” less toned than I remember. This is disheartening and I need to do something about this! I will be on a mission shortly. I just need to figure out a plan.

Belinda – Looks like we crossed paths on the August rotation!

Sherry – Insanity is insane! Do you have the latest insanity workouts as well as the original?

Heidi – How are you on those discs? I am hit and miss every time I use them. 
 
Hi all!

WO's are done! This morning I did Insanity - Plyo Cardio, and this evening I went for a run, dog walk, and StretchMax #3. The run was only 2 miles because I started later than desired and got dark on me. Getting distracted by a book . . . picked up Fifty Shades of Grey from the library and started reading - want to see what all the talk is about.

I must say that I am enjoying the peace and quiet at home for a change. With not rushing everyone around, I might even be eating a bit better. Hmm . . . no one to join me for ice cream?


Belinda - Nice job on STS. What rotation are you following. As for the painting, at least you have some help . . . and you won't have to do it for a good many years. I totally agree on the painter - if you are paying someone, I expect perfection, too!

Heidi - Nice job on S&G. I still have trouble with that wo 'cause i can't get the discs to slide easily on the puzzle mats - confused. Did you get in your hike with your DS, too?

Karen - I completely understand about not wanting to sit in front of a computer sometimes. There have been days where I don't want to talk to any more people, too! I only have the 1st Insanity, and that's exhausting enough!


Time to chill, start reading the book again to see if I can get into it, and get some sleep so I can go at it again, tomorrow. See you at the gym in the morning!

My UB is super sore today. Used the same weight as I did on the STS rotation:rolleyes:Today Cathe's rotation calls for STS Plyo (never done that workout before). Legs and AC "No Equitpment".

Sherry - outstanding job this morning. I am following Cathe's Aug rotation. After doing STS D13, I am thinking doing STS soon. LOL.

Heidi - good job on S&G. My disc don't glide on my carpet, I been doing the workout without them. Still get a good workout. Eventually we will be done with painting, like you said...it will get done and we will be happy too.

Karen - yeah...it looks like we crssed path on the Aug rotation. How are you liking it?

STS Disc 4 DONE! :)

Karen: Nice workouts for the last week! :) So what's your upcoming plan?
I do like the disc moves but my carpet isn't that great for it. It does take a little concentration to put less pressure on the sliding foot and make sure all weight is in the
support leg. ;) Love those disc workouts! They are really helping with my pushups as well! I did all push-ups today either fully on feet or 1/2-1/2 depending on the type.

Sherry: Nice job yesterday! LOL on the ice cream! ;) Oh those discs don't work for puzzle mats at all for me! I was thinking of looking into furniture moving discs instead.... they may slide easier.
I didn't get in my hike with my son yesterday. :( He didn't come for a visit but maybe later this week instead. I ended up working until 9:30Pm anyway. I was dragging this morning but once I started my workout I woke up. HEHE! Feel much better for it too.
Awesome job with insanity!!! I haven't tried any of those ones yet. What do you think of them so far?

Belinda: Wow! Awesome job on the DOMS! :) I keep skipping that plyo leg workout... :/ Let me know how you do! Good luck and have fun! :) Oh love those ab workouts too. :)
On the disc jumping jack moves I do them standard because my discs don't slide well enough on the carpet. They don't slide at all on the puzzle mats! Certainly don't want to twist my ankle.

Hi all!

Back again. This evening's wo was crosstraining, and I was in the mood for AT. At first, this morning's plyo effect on the glutes had me thinking it wasn't the best idea, but by the end, I was good. We'll see what they say to me in the morning! ;)

Belinda - I like the plyo legs, even if I don't get very hi. I think those discs are great double whammy - gets the heart rate really going and gets the muscles good. But I like to balance that with weight work.

Heidi - Nice job on your UB STS wo!

Did I tell you that I did cave and order XTrain? Not that I need any more discs, but couldn't pass up the deal.

Time to relax and enjoy my last quiet evening at home. Hope you had a good one.

Apparently I've decided to follow and Insanity rotation for my morning cardio - kind of brainless at that time of the morning so nice I don't have to think about it or pull out any equipment. LOL! Not sure how long I'll stick with it - the Insanity I mean. I think the morning wo's are doing me good.

the coffee woke me up, went for a nice 2 mile walk w/the dogs. Still have to get IMAX3 done. Good job on Insanity this morning. That 's a tough one!

Hey Sherry! Nice job on your morning workouts with Insanity! That should get you moving pretty quick for the rest of the day. :) Nice you don't really need that much equipment too.
Sometimes trying to get all the weights and so forth together is a workout in itself.
Have an awesome run this afternoon! I hope the temps stay good for you too. They are back up towards the 90's here.....YUCK!

Heidi - nice workout this morning. The coffee never kicked in, needed some PP on wake me up. Just got IMAX in:rolleyes:

Sherry - I remember that workout was tough. WTG! I have Insanity, but never done a entire rotation. I started doing it w/another rotation and it was killing me. After 3 weeks, I quit:D


I will be back in the morning. Need to cook dinner.
 
Hey Belinda, Sherry, and Heidi,

Boy am I sore. My tush is sore and so are my arms and back. Honestly it feels like I tore something in my one forearm. The only thing I can think of that did it was yoga? Weird.

Wednesday I did Lower Body Trisets and then DH, the pup and I went for a short run. I was sucking wind and we didn't even go far! Makes me want to run more because it made me feel out of shape!

Yesterday I pounded out Intensity. I love cathes newer workouts! Maybe I was just getting bored with all step routines.

Heidi - I think I might start Cathes January 11 rotation next week. I've got a wedding to go to on the 22nd of September and I think that rotation has some good muscle building/fat loss workouts in it. If I can keep my eating in check as I have been I think I might feel less bloated and "fat looking". Though honestly its almost TTOTM and I think my "fat look" is just normal for that to be on the horizon. I still don't like it though!

Sherry - The kids and husband are back, did you miss them? Or did you enjoy your alone time?

Belinda - When you say you just got imax in - do you mean the original? I don't even know if I have that one...

Ok, back to work for me. Just one more week of FREE TIME and then back to school for me and for the kids at our district. Not fun!

Just completed PLB. I did the floor work first so I didn't chicken out! LOL!

Hey Karen! :) Wow what did you do? Maybe the combination of LB and then the run? My legs were sore last night after my run. They were already feeling S&G from Tues so the run really got them.
Hmm come to think of it why did I do PLB today? LOL! Might be walking funny later.
Great job on your workouts and the run. Keep at it! The running outside is way different then running on the treadmill. You tend to go faster outside too. Start off a little slower and then build the pace up. If your like me your competitive edge comes out when running with your DH. ;)
I will have to check out the Jan 2011 rotation.
So which new w/o's are you doing now? Awesome job on Intensity! :)

Hi ladies,

Went for a long walk w/the dogs this morning, than I did that yoga I did on Monday (for lower back/hip), did STS D16 (BB) and 10 min stretch w/Cathe on the ball. I am all stretched out.

Heidi - nice job on PUB today. That one got me good the other day.

Karen - be careful! Hope you didn't tear something. I am so sore too. My chest is still sore from Monday:eek: I did IMAX 3 yesterday.

Sherry - have fun with your workout today.

Hi all!

Quick post.

Yesterday - no run, they all got home sooner than I expected, and that wast that.

Today - Tried to run early when they were heading to cc practice - it was a disaster, and it was even still cool out, but couldn't keep my heartrate down. So came home, rested a bit, then did Insanity Pure Cardio with no problem - really go figure. Went for a 2 mile run tonight with no problem, like most evening runs. Really perplexed. Finished off with StretchMax #3 - love the band.

Gotta run - will get to personals tomorrow. Have a good one!

Good morning!

Yesterday - ended up being a rest day, as we focused on helping DS get his Eagle project done, and it is! Last night we just relaxed.

Today - It's a long run day, but also, we've been neglecting the yard, and it shows, so need to get out there today. We're looking like the shabbiest one in the neighborhood.

Belinda - nice job on TTM yesterday. Bet you were painting, too!
