I also like ground flaxseed. I usually grind my own (a week's worth at a time) from whole seeds. This week, I got lazy, and bought some flaxseed meal, which I keep in the freezer.
Flaxseed oil will not last as long as the whole or ground flax before going rancid.
I have been getting golden flax from Now Foods, which is a bit tastier, IMO, than the regular stuff. Nicely nutty. And prettier, too!
