Flab Blaster Check in - 1/27

Good Morning all,

I was just reading over yesterday's posts again and was just so impressed with how everyone did yesterday.

Today I did CIA 2K01 Jammin Workout hi/lo with Gay Gasper. This one always sneaks up on me. It doesn't start out all that hard but by the end I am huffin' and puffin' and totally sweaty. Tomorrow I'll do PUB, the whole thing and will eliminate the add on that is written in the rotation. After the ball work for the abs I'm pretty much spent anyway!

Tracy- so sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope she is on the mend. How long will she have to be in the cast?

Shywolf- missed you yesterday. Hope things are going okay for you. Which timesaver did you do yesterday?

Joy- sounds like you are kickin some serious butt with your workouts the past couple of days. Hearing that you haven't tackled all your Christi step workouts doesn't make me feel that bad about being intimidated by Step Heaven. Are you preordering the Humble Beginnings DVD?

BTW, more virgin workouts are on the way! I'm expecting Kari and Jay's Classic Step (got it off Yaya's), Karen Voight's Yoga Focus (from a trade), and 3 Kari Anderson videos (from a very generous woman who is giving them to me). And I want to buy Christi's Humble Beginnings, some from the CIA new series, and of course the new Cathe offerings. I can't believe she's making some intermediate workouts! How great will those be for occasions like coming back from injury/sickness or to avoid overtraining?!?!

Two people started the check in today, and this one was on top, so here I go. Today I did PP UB mix, 3 sets, and Imax 2, 1-5. It was a tough workout, but I am glad I got it done. Eating is good, I guess I just don't have much to say today. It is snowing so hard here, where is sprinG?????

Hello:

I have been doing a mix of CTX and BB Time Saver. So this morning was CTX Step & Intervials. Trying to decide if I'll do Power Curcit or Leanner Legs tomorrow sense I can't them back to back without being in serious pain! ha ha

I agree where is SPRING.

Hi guys
well we are iced in ...no school for the kids and no work for the hubby for these past 2 days.
Needless to say I have not worked out :(
my dd is using her room ...teen hangout and everyone else would just be in my way if I were to find a place to w/o at.

It just seems this month my rotation that I had planned on doing has been very erratic.
I did go out this morning trying to shuffle myself along and did feel it in my legs ... a couple of times while I was climbing a hill I felt myself slide. Thankfully I din't fall. I looks like a skaing rink in my back and front yard .

Here's hoping things get back to normal soon as I'm feeling rather eh from all this.

Pinky and I were psychically linked today and started the check in at the same time (play Twlight Zone theme at this point).

Welcome Stacy MN to the check in. Very nice to have you here.

Shywolf, January has been a tough month for you with the flooding in the basement and now being snowed in with the family! I appreciate how much effort you've made in trying to overcome these obstacles. Here's hoping things thaw out a bit and return to normal.

For those of you in the cold, STAY WARM and SAFE!

Hi everybody,
I started to check in earlier and then events overtook me. First - today's workout...
I did my own version of muscle endurance. I started with the warm up then went to the leg presses premix and did them pyramid style. Then I went on to upperbody premix. This went pretty well. My goal with my rear end is more glute muscle. I have small hips/butt/thighs and I'm alway trying to add more muscle and more bubble.

I went back to yesterday's to read what I missed. Tracy, I must have been posting when you were. I'm sorry about your little one. Its soo hard when the babies are sick or hurting..

Pinky, thanks for posting your plb weights. we are in the same range. The bc pills you mention and their associated problems are EXACTLY what my experience was. I'm back to Levlite. Also like you I have knee issues when I run. I'm amazed at Lori's running.

Sabine, I hope you like Yoga Focus. The Yoga Strength w/o is tough - lots and lots of down dogs. And you should see Karen's form! beautiful. Now the Yoga Strech is not very yoga ish but it is very very delightful. Alot of hip stretching, which I need. It took me a couple of times through to 'get it' I'm also in the process of trading for some Kari workouts...I'm trading away Firms and wondering if I'll regret it although I haven't done a firm workout in well, since I found Cathe. Oh and yes, I already preordered Christies Humble beginnings. I LOVE 9801. The 7xxx one is fun but not as good/balanced as 9801 (of course I'm talking hi/lo here) and I've always been curious about the 5xxx workout which is fairly hard to find.

Hi LoriS! Hi Shywolf! Hi Stacy from MN! I live in FL. We are expecting a cold front tonight and the high tomorrow will only be about 60-65 (your'e crying crocodile tears for me aren't ya ;-) ) Oh but I used to live in Cleveland Ohio and though I moved here in 1977 I still remember the cold and the snow - ugh.

Does Brenda still check in here? Hi Brenda!!

Talk atcha all tomorrow..
-joy

Hey Sabine, are we in synch today or what?:7 Do you guys have any workout recommendations for me? I need cardio workouts similar to Cathe's but less intense on the knees. Man, my left knee is really feeling it today.}(

Lorisax, I hear ya! It was thirty-freakin-seven degrees this morning out here in Dallas. I talked to my aunt who lives in NY. She said she's so tired of their neverending arctic blasts. We're lucky there's no snow down here. Yet. But there's always the threat of an ice storm, which makes for more auto accidents as we Texans are quite heavy-footed on the pedal, if you know what I mean, even on ice.:)

Hi Stacy, welcome to the thread. I did CTX Power Circuits yesterday. Twice. To make a full hour workout. Now I'M in pain...

Hey Joy, to quote Cathe, I can feel your vibes coming at me.:D Same PLB weights, same BC pills -- and side effects. Wow!

Hi Shywolf, keep warm. Hi Brenda, hope you're doing well today.

I think I might be resting again tomorrow just for good measure. I actually went for a two-hour walk around the mall today. Just took it slow. I was mainly hunting myself a pair of reasonably-priced shoes. My Reeboks are falling apart.

Later,
Pinky

Hey all! I finally have a moment to myself after playing nurse-maid all day - I finally got my daughter to hobble around by herself by convincing her that her cast was made of "magic" and it would help her walk. She has to wear this thing for 4 weeks. School was cancelled for the second day in a row (and tomorrow isn't looking too hopeful) so my schedule has been all messed up. I finally squeezed in the timesaver #5 workout - which is mainly legs and glutes. Tomorrow I am going to do PUB and tack on a cardio segment since running is definitely out of the question. I'm already thinking about what's next up for me - does anybody have any ideas about their next rotation (if you are even planning on switching?) I guess I will wait and see what Cathe has posted for Feb. although I know this is going to be a tough month for me - we are having my in-laws stay with us for TWO WEEKS and they are sleeping and living in my workout area so it is going to be tough for me to get them out of the way.
Sabine and Joy -it sounds like both of you have a very well-rounded workout library. You both mention a lot of different instructors. I have limited myself pretty much to just Cathe, but I am always curious if I am missing out on other great instructors. What are some of your favorite videos/instructors and why?
LoriSax - you continue to awe me with the amount of time you put aside for yourself! Am I correct in remembering that you are currently doing a tank-top style rotation? How is it going? Are you following a rotation that is in print, or creating your own?
Shy Wolf- I understand your "pain" about having the kiddos home from school. It throws everything out of whack. Perhaps you can give me some advice about working out in someone else's space, since I will losing my workout space.
Welcome, Stacy - I hope you will find this check-in as motivating as I have.

So, I have pieced together that Pinky is in Dallas, Joy is in Florida, Stacy (I'm assuming) is from Minnesota. So here's my topic for tomorrow: where is everyone else from?
I live in Maryland and right now it is icy and cold.
Sleep well and be healthy!
Tracy

Goodness Tracy, I don't want to leave you out. I know there was someone else on this thread... I hope your daughter feels better soon. It's tough when kids get sick or have accidents. When my son had a freak accident in school that required six stitches on his face, my stress actually turned physical. I had leg cramps, for some reason. The day after, my son caught me crying tears of relief in the bedroom. Needless to say, it was a horrible time...

I caught your post on the PLB thread in the DVD comments forum. We could patent that special siphon and make moolah!:)

Pinky

Hi Gals,
I did a 80 min run last night. Not quite sure what I will be doing today.I was leaning towards cardio and upper body.
I know one thing for sure...I have to clean up my eating.Pretty much every since friday night,I have not cared one bit about what goes in my mouth. There is something about the weekends that gets me off track.
Anyway,I will never see results..I think it totally depends on what goes in your mouth!
