Fitness Freak- Question about your rotation?

Hello Debbie,
Thanks for what you do on this forum. I am looking for a new rotation, and in reading some of your rotations, wondered if you wouldn't mind answering a couple of questions (specifically about strength 4 week rotation from 9/05)?

I noticed that you use Pure Strength series a lot- I have both gym styles and slow and heavy, but not ps. Are these more or less interchangeable? The reason I ask is that in the above rotation, you combine two body parts from two different series- pure strength and pyramids I think, and I don't want mess up your intention with doing this :)

Also, I have timesaver, but not step jump and pump. Do you think it is worthwhile to purchase step jump and pump to do in its entirety, or would the first three challenges in timesaver suffice?

Thanks for taking the time to answer my nitpicky questions. This rotation looks so well-thought-out, I can't wait to start.

Cheers,

I don't think using GS or S&H with the other workout I have for that body part is smart, primarily because there are so many sets in GH and S&H. If you don't want to purchase PS, then just use GS or S&H like week 4 shows.

I, personally, LOVE SJ&P, it's just one fantastic workout and so is Step Blast. I suggest if you can afford it to buy the DVD. If not, just substitute the timesaver workout, that should be ok.

Fitnessfreak,
Thanks for your reply. I am tempted to buy step jump and pump, I think it will be a reward for me after I stick with a rotation for a month. Would pure strength series offer something that GS or SH doesn't? Appreciate the experienced point of view.
Cheers :)

Pure Strength is a good series but I think the name is very deceiving unless you go a lot heavier then Cathe does and take longer breaks. It still works well for certain rotations, though. I'd get that series last if I had a choice.

Fitnessfreak,
Thanks for your reply, and I hope you have a great weekend. I did the SJP portion on timesaver, and it really is awesome- not too hard to master, but a really good workout. I'm afraid I'm going to have to succumb:rolleyes:
Cheers,
Lisa
