First time doing MIC--I was humbled!!

wudnit

Cathlete
Welll, I received my new dvd's on Friday and tried the hi/lo portion of MIC today. I am choreographically challenged, so I missed a few steps and I had to march it out a couple of times to catrch my breath!! I was floored by the intensity and applaud those of you who can make it through that tape without any modifications!!! You go girls!!! You rock!!!!

I am excited to do it again when I have a bit more time and would like to try to get through both the hi/lo AND the step. But, maybe I will try the step portion alone at some point first.

But, I did love doing the tape, despite the fact that I thought I might die!! : ) It will give me something to work up to and I think it will definitely boost my exercise routine up a notch!! Nothing I've done thus far (including Taebo) has had this intensity!! I'm so happy I bought these dvd's and am looking forward to trying some of the other routines (Rhythemic Step, I MAX---WHOA!!!!)

I did view some of them already, my husband thinks I'm nuts!!! I love watching them!! Gives me something to aspire too!!!

Thanks to all of your for your recommendations. I'm very happy with my purchases (I also purchased the MIS dvd, so will look forward to working that one into my routine as well!!)

After doing the workout this morning I went back to bed and slept for 2 1/2 more hours!!! It kicked my butt!!!!

Thanks again gals!!!

Mary,

Rhythmic Step is one of my favorites - I really enjoy the music. I think you'll like it too. And I was very proud of getting all the choreography down after a few times through.

I have MIC but it is not one of my favorites. I do the first two portions of the floor aerobics and then the step portion. I totally FF over the part when it goes completely high impact. That rat-a-tat Mickey-Mouse music and the constant bouncing is too frantic for me. Drives me nuts. But believe me, even without that 15 minutes, the workout is sure tough enough. When you can do the whole tape, you have really accomplished something!

Good Luck with your tapes. My husband thinks I'm crazy too!

RE: I second that!

Congrats on your new purchases! I was floored by the fact that before the step portion even began, Cathe had me sweating buckets. One thing that keeps me going though, is the music in the step section. I Wish, Love Rollercoster, etc., it is just too fun to miss. And I am so proud when I'm done. But with that said, let me state that I don't reach for MIC too often! It kicks my butt everytime! Have fun!

RE: I hear you

I remember the first time I did MIC...I thought I was going to die, I barely made it through the Hi/lo and then I see the step section coming and said to myself "you have got to be kidding!"..."Noone really does this whole thing in one session".
So since I loved the tape in spite of myself, I broke it up. One day hi/lo and the next day step. Then last week, I just kept going!!!

AND I DID IT ...I COMPLETED THE WHOLE THING STEP AND HI/LO IN ONE SESSION. whoo-hooO....

Boy am I proud of myself. I just thought I'd share this with you to let you know it will happen. Cathe is the greatest, even when you think she is crazy!

Good Luck...Donna

And now for my next feat...conquering my fear of IMAX. I have only had the courage to preview this video and I have had it for over a year!

Donna (Dpunch)

In my oh-so-humble opinion, IMAX is easier than MIC. More breaks and the option to do the intervals in their "easiest" form.

So fear not IMAX! Give it a whirl! If you can complete MIC, you can do anything!

RE: Donna (Dpunch)

HMMMM....Never thought of it that way, I think I will give it a whirl tomorrow, since today is a rest day for me. :)

Thanks for the support Patricia.
