First Ever Chin-Up Check-In

Has anyone tried the beachbody chin up bar? I don't have room for a Power Tower and I really don't want to drill anything into the door frame.

I did notice the 13 O's, Debbie, and I appreciate your effort to spell my name correctly. You'd be surprised how many people spell it with 11.:p

WHAT?...HB is 56. Okay guys...we have NO excuse here. Man am I impressed!!! What a great example. I want to do 10 chinups when I'm 56!!!

Now Debbie...she's just plain and simple lying about her age. Those grandchildren are really paid actors. She is truthfully Cathe's older sister...by 2 years, maybe it was younger...can't remember. She says she's in her 50's so she won't have to do chinups...but now HB has blown that excuse out of the water...you're going to have to come up with a something better Debbie.:p :p :p (Debbie..you look great!!;-) ).

Thanks for the kind words up there. When I started the P90x (I believe I started in April of 04 - it may have been a little later - whenever it first came out) I could barely pullup to 1 pullup (chinup) and I think I kind of did a little cheat push with my toes when I did that one. I stuck with the P90X for almost a year (loosely with Cathe added in for cardio/legs - I only use the UB strength P90x's) and slowly improved over time. There is nothing like the P90X for UB strength. I still try to use it for 2 workouts every week. Once you get past the 1 chinup rep stage the others will come. I plan on doing eccentrics tomorrow with weight to try and improve my chinup numbers. After a very whimpy month - my lats and most of my back are screaming right now from this abuse that I attribute completely to Sooooooooooooosan (honestly - thanks Sooooooooooooosan!!!). If I'm this sore in the morning...I may wait another day!

Oh my Diane...you don't have to do chinups - you must be experiencing post traumatic chinup bar stress. Therapy is probably in order :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: Use caution- and definitely a power tower of some sort!!

I was so busy noticing the 13 O's that I missed the missing "an." I'm very upset.

Maybe there should be a check-in for those who don't put enough O's in my name.:+

My sister sometimes spells it with 14 1/2 O's. She paid a lot of money to have a special "half O" key installed on her computer just to rile me. Makes me furious just thinking about it.
