Fellow Arizonians (Bobbi and Naughtoj to name but 2)

Hi everyone,
I was reading through some posts and noticed that Bobbi and Naughtoj are fellow Arizonians (actually I am from Colorado but have lived here for 11 years). Just wanted to say "hi" to you both and any other "desert rats" that may hang out here.

I live in Avondale and work in the Biltmore area. Where do you the rest of you Arizonians live and would you be interested in a "Cathe" get together?

I am looking forward to hearing from everyone:7

Hi, Rhonda, fellow desert rat. I am in Tucson and had never heard of Avondale. I searched it and see you are close to Phoenix. I would love a get together. To finally meet a fellow Catheite face to face would be wonderful!

I would be in for that. I always wished I could meet a fellow Catheite for a hike or other workouts. I have never met anyone willing to workout as hard as me. :) Any takers? LOL.


I live in North Phoenix.
 
I work around Glendale 16th st. I run/hike Phx mountain preserve everyday at lunch. Too bad we couldn't meet for that one day, Rhonda....?


Down side is, I get all sweaty and gross, but I work in a cubie with nothing but other females so I couldn't care less....:)
 
Good to hear from you both! Bobbi, you are right, Avondale is West of Phoenix (I call it East L.A.:) ) Janice, I hike Squaw Peak Summit trail at least once a week after work. I hike with a couple of co-workers but our motto is "the more the merrier".

I have another friend here in town who I met on the old Firm boards several years back. Well, we became good friends (she loves Cathe too and would join us if she isn't traveling for work) and I actually introduced her to her husband! It's amazing that having fitness in common gave me a good friend and her a husband and a friend :)

Janice, maybe we could organize a weekend hike (before it gets too hot). Would you like to come up for the day and we could all go to lunch or something afterward?

I could come up from Tucson! I missed this until now. Failed to subcribe myself to the post. I must be slipping! I went shopping for a self-adhesive bra with my 16 year old and she had her hair done for Prom. The hubs called and invited me to dinner and, of course, I said yes. I told him about the bra. He sounded intrigued. Until I told him it was for Ali. Did you know you can HEAR someone frown? She's off looking gorgeous and happy in her new finery with that handsome tuxedoed boyfriend. And I have nothing to wear AND I'm still flat-chested! :)

Sorry guys,
It's been a rough couple of days at work. Today is the first time I have been able to hit the computer in a few days.

Enough about me, I think we will have to schedule the hike for next week if that's ok. This week is all about work and hitting some insane deadlines that came out of no where so I will be working into the dark hours. Is there a time next week that works for either one of you? I am pretty free after work (5 or so) or we can do Sat. the 2nd if you prefer?

Let me know. Again sorry about the delayed response.

Hi, Rhonda. Don't even worry about it. I knew you had gotten busy. Next week gets tricky for me since the monkeys go back to the zoo, school resumes. And evenings are tricky because I get up early and poop out early too. But Saturday is doable, I am pretty sure; on one has anything on the agenda so far. Where do you hike? Can you email me the logistics so I can map it? :)

I wish I could join you! I just went through Phoenix on my way to CA for spring break! I live up around the Grand Canyon area. Bummer... that would have been tight to meet up with some fellow Catheites!

Hey Rhonda, Bobbi and Janice!! I didn't realize you were all in Arizona. Gilbert is going to be my new home!! The thought that I will at least "know" a few souls is kinda comforting. My family will be moving in June....after living on the east coast all my life I can not believe I am actually moving. I have never even been to Arizona. My husband has and just loves it, and I will get a sneak preview in a couple of weeks...he is already there as of this week and could not be happier. Anyway, just wanted to say and let you know how much I enjoyed this post!! Take Care, Donna.
