Ever happen to you re:facebook?

Twice now I have tried to get on facebook & instead some utterly digusting & raunchy site comes up. :mad: I haven't taken the time to look at the site name as I'm to busy typing to get it off of there before one of the kids sees it!! The pictures on the home page are VERY explicit!
When I look at most recent sites it's not on there either. ????? Is it just me?
 
I've had some rather disturbing experiences on FB. I've gotten odd friend requests from people in other countries, but the worst was some PMs I got when I posted something on CNN's fan page, I mentioned I was Jewish, & I got two incredibly foul, hateful & vaguely threatening message from someone. I had to report him. He seemed pretty stupid, but I'm hoping he's not technologically savvy enough to hunt me down. :eek:

FB can be fun, but it can also be scary.
 
Tami, I bookmarked the Login page and I've never had an issue with being directed to a raunchy site. The only problem I've encountered with FB is that it can be incredibly slow sometimes. I don't really do anything on there outside of chatting with my "friends" or taking a few dopey quizzes for fun.
 
ive never had a problem with this either. maybe when you typed in the address, you misspelled it? i find lots of times the addresses of some of these smut sites are a little too close to popular websites, which is how i guess they get their traffic.
 
I've never had a problem either. I don't join too many fan pages. I'm very particular about that and very careful. I agree you must have typed the website in wrong. Even one letter can take you to some very strange pages!

Oh My word Laura!! That is scary & sad at the same time. Hard to beleive their are people out there that are like that. I dated a "skinhead" in high school & I remember one of the more intense friends wanting to take debate classes in college just to debate racism! What an idiot!

Michele, I like the dopey quizzes too! :D

I LOVE those quizzes too!! They are totally dorky but I *heart* them!! :) I find that FB is slow too! Drives me nuts sometimes!

I've never been redirected to a different site either-which is good because sometimes I log on to FB at work! :)

I am totally hooked on FB and have never had any problems. Its been good to me. My one and only HUGE complaint is that I did not get the message that Cathe was giving everyone a $10.00 discount until it was too late. I use FB with my IPhone and for some reason I just didn't get that message. wahhhhhh:(
