Duke's surgery

My old man had his ACL surgery today. It went really well and he's home now resting comfortably on his big bed. He's very sleepy, but seems like he's OK. The challenge is keeping Buster off him.

He's got staples which will come out on the 2nd.

He had an uneventful night and I gave him breakfast in bed this morning. Spoiled? Uhhh...yeah....

He went out to use the facilities this morning (read...the snow covered driveway) and yelled at something he smelled or thought he saw in the yard through the dark and his cataracts. He's gonna be OK!

Doing a happy dance! (me, not him. He's just laying on his bed licking his back)

Thanks - he's getting lots of kisses. Just had to take him out to go #2. I was a bit nervous about how he'd do, but he's a trooper. He got this look on his face like, "uhhhh....how do I do this?" and then he sort of got stuck in the snow, so I dug a trench for him. Ha ha.

He's doing so well, got up from his bed to come lay on the floor next to my chair. Awwwww....I'm so glad my baby is getting better.
