Do you think Cathe is a secret to the rest of the world?

My thoughts exactly! I have gone from Tamilee Web to Gin Miller to Kathy Smith and rotated among the three -- and only because they're the names I find all the time. (Tried Denise Austin, but she simply wasn't my kind of instructor.) I got to the point when I felt I really had to move my workouts up a notch. I don't like the gym atmosphere and prefer to work out at home. Then I found Cathe while doing a web search on step aerobics. And wow, does she kick my butt exactly the way it needs to be kicked! :)

My 2 cents here is that when you do Cathe, you have to be VERY motivated and committed. You have to take time -- and be patient enough with yourself -- to learn her step routines and experiment with weights that are right for you. You have to open your mind to new ways of doing old things. For those who want the quick fix, Cathe isn't for them. But for those who believe that fitness is an important part of life, not merely a lifestyle, they will love Cathe.

Hello,

My theory is that weight lifting is not attractive to women. I can't tell you how many women are worried they will look like body builders if they lift weights and many people are afraid to really challenge themselves. I have also had friends who think Cathe is too muscular (I think she is quite perfect and her crew fabulous but then I am used to looking at Cathe: it does take getting used to). I have told Cathe to friends who responded that they build muscles easily (she was a football player).

Of course there is the factor that people say they can't motivate themselves to exercise at home, they need the atmosphere of a gym and be surrounded by friends or go with friends. I am used to working out by myself so I do not care for the gym. However, I do find it lonely a lot of the time. I belong to a running club which gets me out socially once a week.
