ditching fanny lifter for high step?

I'm thinking about buying the high step topper and getting rid of my blue and purple fanny lifter. I already have 6 risers so it would save me some space. I still use some Firm workouts though (new and old), and now Fitprimes and Kickbutts. Can I use the high step in these workouts? Is it easy/fast enough to adjust during the Firm workouts going from 6 to 8, 10, 14 inches high? Is there a difference between the blue and grey one?

You can definitely use the High Step for Fanny Lifter workouts (though not the other way around, IMO, because the Fanny Lifter is too light and easy to kick during cardio like in Cathe's High Step workouts).

The high step is pretty easy to adjust.

There is not difference between the grey (available only through SNM, I think) and the blue one, except color.

That being said, I find the Fanny Lifter very useful, and use it every day...as a table for my laptop!!

To me the high step seems more stable!! I think you will really like it!!

Good luck!!

Ditch the fanny lifter or recycle it like Kathryn did! I gave my purple and blue fanny lifter to my sister who is just beginning to exercise again. I still have the original wooden 16" and 10" fanny lifters. I think they'd make excellent plant stands! I wonder how many "creative" uses "recovering FIRMIES" could find for their retired fannylifters?!

I just got my high step from UPS yesterday and promptly trashed my fanny lifter. I actually saw someone garbage picking it this morning!! It was not very good to use with Cathe workouts because it's too light to do tricep dips with, moved around because it doesn't grip well to the floor, doesn't adjust enough, and the surface is not slip-resistant enough to do the leg floor workouts. I love my new high step...best money I've spent (besides buying Cathe's workouts!). I got the 14" one and the High Step Challenge for beg. and intermediate DVD for a little more than $75 including shipping. If you don't want the DVD too you can just get the step for like $60 plus shipping. It's a great deal and you won't regret it!!
My next big purchase will be the full-size step platform!!!

I just recently ditched my FL for the HighStep. I haven't had any tipping whats so ever! I'm very happy with it. I gave my FL away! I hope to never see it again. Just to do tricep dips I'd have to move it against the couch to keep the darn thing stable. Same thing with inverted shoulders presses. Yikes! I'm glad to be rid of it. Plus, now, I can go up to 16 in. like Cathe does in ME. I couldn't be more pleased with the highstep! I love it and hope its still with me 60 years from now!

I took my fanny lifter home and left it there for those times when I visit and need something similar to the high step. I use the high step now. It's stable, and because you can adjust it in 2-inch increments, it's very versatile. I also use the risers of the high step with the risers of my club step to raise my step even higher. Great when doing heavy weight work.

Glad to see all these posts...I just sold my entire Firm System 2 on ebay and was able to buy another riser and the topper. I should be getting it on Friday and cannot wait to do High Step Challenge on it!!! No more Fanny Lifter for me!!!!
