Alright Diane Sue...fess up! I want to know your workout schedule and the specifics of how you eat. Like give me an example of one or two rotations you may do any given week(names of workouts) and specific examples of how much and what type of food you would eat in a day. I HAVE to know...please. Thanks!
Angela
P.S. Feel free to p.m. me or just post it here...you look great! I mean good grief...you have 5 grandchildren...who would ever know?

OK I know who Diane Sue is I kind of figure it was the same as WD and SHe is amazing looking!

It is hard to give an exact routine. I have a basic schedule of 6 days a week of cardio at around 1 hour each day sometimes a little more. Then two days a week weight training per body part when training heavy. I will make that 3 times a week when doing endurance.
I switch things around a lot according to how I feel. If I feel I am getting really used to one routine and getting no results I will switch to another. I just finished three weeks of S&H once a week with one day rest and then the Pyramids. That was a pretty intense workout. I started with S&H again this week but think I am going to do an endurance upper and lower split at the end of the week. Usually I will do ME as a split along with Pyramid stability work on lower day and then ME upper with Bootcamp upper. As for eating I try and keep my diet low in fat, sodium and starches. I am not real strict with it though. I eat an occaisional potato or some whole wheat pasta. I rarely eat bread. Add sometimes I just go out and eat MacDonalds and enjoy myself. I eat huge amounts of veggies and salads. I have found that diet can make a difference in how my definition shows. Also I always have one day of complete rest. I even found two and 1/2 weeks of vacation, watching what I ate and working out for around 30 minutes about 4 times total actually left me looking leaner, I lost 6 lbs.. Thanks for asking. I am really flattered.

Diane,
Thanks so much for the info! One more question...what do you do for cardio primarily? Do you use videos? Also, do you do split your workouts up between a.m. and p.m. or do cardio and strength all at once? I promise, I will leave you alone after this...tee hee.:)

I do videos for my cardio. Mostly Cathe, I have a few CIA's and Firms left, and a couple of others. I sold most of them because they were just sitting here and were in video format. I am a little spoiled with the DVD's. I alternate between more intense cardios and lighter cardios, and try and crosstrain with Kickbox, step and Hi Lo.
BTW on the diet end I usually consume around 2400 calories a day. I think I missed telling that. And you are not bothering me at all. :)

Diane Sue-

I eat about 2700 calories a day. I am glad I am not the only one that consumes over 2000.

You look much better than me though. If I could get rid of the 200-300 calories of chocolate a day I think I would not be so thick.

You look great!!!!

When the Intensities were just released, I looked at what Cathe ate in the Behind the Scenes. I also copied a thread from Diane what she ate and what her exericise schedule was. I then put those two trains of thought together. I upped my weights, added more workouts, and more ab work,(did you see how often Diane works the abs?) and I can say this, It works! I have followed this great advice ever since. My abs have never looked better!
I needed to up my intensity and increase my weight workouts and the poundage as I was staying in a rut. My workouts average 2 hours a day + Pilates. Pilates or Yoga for my rest day.
I too have an occasional Wendy's hamburger and I've been known to get into Applebees caramel cheesecake. But for the most part, I stay with this program. The doing without bread was a big issue for me. But now if I eat white bread, I definately notice it in my abs the next day.

I give a big thumbs up to this program. I've been following it for close to a year now, and I still find it challenging.

Thanks Diane, for being generous enough to share your workouts and diet regimine.

I think I would not be so
>thick.

Beverly,

You are NOT thick. Your pictures look incredible.

You are a great example!

I was just looking at my workout logs. On the surface it looks insane!
I have many videos in the mix. But basically, I just try balance everything out between heavy weights and endurance. I try to go heavy 3x's during the week.
Cathe's ab routines in C&W,PUB,BootCamp, ME, CTX and the AB Hits series are my mainstay. I added Karen Voight's, Core Essentials and Yoga Sculpt DVD's and some other Pilates tapes that I do religiously everyday. This is on top of any Cathe abs that may be included in the video I did for the day.
(But NOT all the routines all at once. hahaha) But I may put two routines together. I love putting the last two ab sections of the Ab hits together. I use an 8# dumbell for throwing the ball in the next to the last section. So in one day's time, I may do 2-3 ab routines including my Pilates.

If anyone saw my workout sheet, they would have me committed. My disclaimer is: "I may be crazy but it keeps me from going insane.":7
