Definition-Muscle

What is the best dvd or a list in order of 1 being the best that would give the best muscle definition???
Also I don't lift heavy weights... I am currently doing 5/8lb dumbells and 9/13lb barbell. Hopefully I will go heavier after some time although some people tell me that I don't need to go heavy like Cathe and some people disagree with women doing it.
But anyways... any suggestions would be most helpful!
I am assuming that I can lift what I like with Cathe and not lift the same or so heavy :)
Thanks

Stephanie

P.S.
I don't like step workouts! sorry!

sounds like you are looking for endurance workouts. I don't know how to rate them, b/c I don't have them all, but I LOVE ME. Also heard great things about MM & PH. Those are the first three that come to mind.

I can only speak for myself, but I didn't start getting muscle definition until I started lifting heavier. I had to start challenging myself to see the results. I had great results with Pyramid Upper and Lower Body, and now I'm using Gym Styles and I'm noticing changes after less than two weeks...

How long do you lift at a certain weight before you try to go heavier?

Also... Gym Style over Pyramid Upper & Lower Body?

I am not sure what the difference in them is for sure. They both sound like you go heavy with several sets of reps.

Thanks!

I had the same experience as Lori-- it wasn't until I started going heavy that I was able to see results. I really like using the Slow and Heavy series because I can break it up into a body part per day. I've been using the Gym Styles for the past several weeks and have moved up 5-10 pounds for some exercises (and I just did the 72 push-ups in GS chest on my toes-- wahoo!!!) but I'll probably go back to S&H soon:)

Definition is a combination of muscle (which you get from lifting heavier) and lowered body fat (which is mostly done in the kitchen, and by causing a calorie deficit: burning more calories than you take it).
