December 2010 Rotation, Week of 12/27/2010

I started a new week again. I hope everybody sees it.

Teri, in Word, you click TABLE, INSERT, TABLE and then enter how many columns and rows you want. You can add or remove columns and rows once it's created and you begin to work on it. It's actually pretty easy once you do your first one. Glad you liked the sheets and I hope you find them helpful. I have a 3-ring binder in my lair that has ALL my workout log sheets for EVERY workout I own or have ever done! LOL

Wendy, glad you were able to get some extra sleep. I slept in some again today, till about 8am. We're off school till next Monday so I have a feeling I might not be setting the normal 4:24 am wake up alarm too many times. lol (and yes...4:24...just a weird random number I like to set instead of the normal :15 or :30. lol Weird, I know! :) )

Today was Maximum Intensity premix for me too. I had the time and LOVED it. And NEEDED it. I'm done with all the food junk. I 'allowed' it for the 2nd half of Christmas day and about 3/4 of yesterday. But now I feel like a load. YUCK!

The storm hit us pretty good, but now the WIND is crazy and it's drifting everything. They've closed the roads here, but if they lift it I'll be meeting 2 friends for a short easy trail run (like, 3 or 4 miles, slow).

Good Afternoon Gayle and all who follow.

I've been up since about 6:30 this morning. My job is closed, thank goodness but I just couldn't sleep in. I went to bed at "normal" time just incase. No work out to report yet. Had thoughts of a super long LBB premix today but DH isn't home (he's working snow removal at his job today) so I need to dig out my own car. He shoveled everything else before he left so I can't complain. :p So anyway, I don't want to exhaust myself and make myself more miserable shoveling then I need to be so I after my car is "free" I will see how I feel regarding my w/o....

I did some cleaning around the house and some clutter removal in my son's room today already. I do it every year around Christmas and his Birthday. Out with the old, in with the new as they say! LOL

That's all for now. Just wanted to stop in quickly...BBL or in the a.m.
 
Well that wasn't nearly as bad as I expected! Didn't have to do much at all in order to get out! I just hope the snow doesn't freeze me into my spot overnight or I'm in trouble! :eek:

A late check in for an early workout :D,this morning I did Intensity premix step + bootcamp. It was a nice change.

Good Morning.

Well I did it y'day. The long LBB premix got done. It damn near killed me but it got done! :p I am surprised I can walk today but I did it in the middle of the afternoon so as learned from last time I did a work out at that time, DOMS will probably hit me later on and into tmrw! :eek: Last night though I was sitting on the couch watching a little tv and my legs were hurting so I thought perhaps DOMS was coming early this time!

Today was supposed to be MMA: Kickbox but it's not happening. I am taking an unscheduled rest day today. I'll do it tmrw. I slept like crap last night. I tossed and turned from before 2am. :(:rolleyes: If I got up to work out I'd be even more of a wreck today then I'm going to be already. Soooo not worth it. 'Sides, I did 2 mega premixes on back to back days so I deserve the rest! ;)

Terina:: I'd love a little rain (as opposed to snow!)...but not yet. If it rains now it'll just flood everything! :eek:

Gayle:: LOL at your 4:24 alarm. So were you able to make it out for your run y'day?

Hey Girls!!!

Wendy, for whatever reason, your " 'sides " comment made me laugh. Maybe cuz it sounds like something I'd say to my kids! :D GREAT JOB on that BIG LBB workout.....it's coming up for me on Thursday and I can't WAIT to do those conditioning drills again. :eek: Enjoy your rest day.

Teri, I got ya on Facebook, thanks! I love using it to keep up with my friends 'around the world'.

I just finished STS TB. I gotta say...I don't really enjoy total body weight workouts, because I feel they don't really hit any muscle group all the way. But STS TB comes pretty darn close as long as I use the correct weights.

I did end up getting out for a trail run with my friend. The roads weren't all that bad since it was sunny and the CRAZY winds blew most of the snow into drifts. And we were surprised the trail was already plowed too! We're very fortunate to live near these trails and they all connect and are well-maintained. Funny....at the 2 mile mark we saw the plow truck.....parked, running, with the guy inside SLEEPING! LOL He was still there on our way BACK too, still sleeping!

Sounds like what the people stuck on the Parkway in Jersey during the storm were doing!
 
1st time

it was my 1st time doing HR,it was a great workout,my legs feel sore already. I wonder what Cathe has in store for us in Jan:eek:

Yup, HR is an arse kicker for sure! I am wondering what the January rotation will look like too and hoping I don't like it. :p I am planning on starting STS in January. I don't need any more temptation to stray from it then already exists in my own head! LOL

I was thinking this very same thing, Wendy! LOL I actually have begun working on my January/Feb/March calendars because I have to look ahead at some upcoming big (and getting BIGGER) events/races I have coming up. I'll have a much better idea of what Jan will or SHOULD look like later today.

Having said that....I can't believe WE stuck out this rotation! This is the last week and the final 4 workouts of this rotation (for me; Wendy I know you're a bit ahead of me, right)!!! It flew by!

Anyway....been up since 3am, as you know Wendy, since you saw me on FB already! :) It's time to get changed and hit IMax 2. It's been AGES since I've done this one and I'm actually looking forward to it! Off I goooooooooooooooooooo!

Gayle, Have fun with IMAX2. Such a great classic Cathe workout! Can't wait to hear what you cook up for yourself for the next few months. What races are in the works for you? I am planning to re-start STS in January w/most of my buddies from my other check-in. Now that this rotation is done I get to "play" thru New Year's Weekend and then Monday I kick off STS! The way I've set it up is with cardio on M-T-W, weights on R-S-S and my rest day is on F. Wish me luck! ;)

I'm plan to stick around here even though I'm done w/my rotation to cheer you ladies on so I'll BBL or tmrw! :)
 
IMax 2 actually felt easy today...I believe it's all the Intensity sessions that did that! LOL Then I tacked on some very quick and simple lower ab stuff.

Wendy, I'm sooooooooo totally excited for 2011. I've got 2 full marathons on the horizon...one in May that's local and then I want to do Marine Corps Marathon in Oct...registration for that opens in February and they say it fills up FASTER THAN BOSTON DOES (and Boston filled up in 8 HOURS this year)! Then I have a The Tough Mudder in April and the Warrior Dash in June...I wish it were the other way around so I could test out this type of obstacle course run on the shorter WD, but it ain't so! ;) I have at least one sprint tri, in September, and I'd like to get 2 more in there sometime between May and Sept. I've got a few half marathons tossed in, in May is my local 'signature' half, October is the Hershey Half (yes, as in Hershey Park, lol). Add in a few other extras here and there (I'm searching for a duatholon to do) and it's looking to be a challenging but FUN 2011!!!

I was thinking the same thing about IMAX2 when I did it with the exception of a few of the harder blasts which just never seem to get any easier! :eek:

Our thread was buried on page 2. Not good! :p

This morning's work out was supposed to be JM's 6 week six pack in full but I over slept and therefore couldn't finish ALL of it. I did, however get through all of w/o #1 and half of w/o#2 and it still kicked my arse! :eek:

Hey Wendy. How DARE they shove us to page TWO! ;)

I did LBB this morning, WITH the Conditioning Drills again. I'm telling ya...my legs were SHAKING like CRAZY by the end. Then an hour later I ran a 5 mile course with 2 friends...perfect to stretch out my legs after that killer LBB.

2 more workouts and this rotation is officially done, for me. I can't believe it.

I've been working on my 2011 training schedule and it's coming together nicely. I've got 2 tris now officially scheduled and on the calendar. The only other thing that I REALLY REALLY want to add on there is a duathlon, which I'm currently searching for. Anyway.....can you tell I'm excited for 2011?

no workout for me yesterday,and today I have lower body blast scheduled.

Wendy, how was CCC? I like that one....ever do it without the core work in between? It's like ONE BIG never-ending INTERVAL! DOH...never mind...I see your edit comment! lol

I finished MMA KB about an hour ago. I've got my PeepsFest 5K with my running group, in about 2 hours. ONE MORE WORKOUT FOR THIS ROTATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, CCC has a huge dread factor for me just cause it's very tough. Even WITH the core in between it's still super tough for me. I swear I almost lost my lungs this morning a few times! :eek: It took all I had not to whimp out of it!!! :p

Terina, enjoy LBB! Fingers x'd for some good ol DOMS tmrw for you!:eek:
