Damage Control--Friday!

TGIF Ladies!!!!!!!!! *doin' happy dance* :D WOOT!

Good Morning Laura and all who follow.

I did Core Cardio and Balance this morning. Another one I hadn't done in quite some time. Goodie. Enjoyed it. Challenging but not killer. It was perfect. :)

Good Morning!

Checking in while no manager is around. I can close this screen out pretty fast and pretend to be working if I hear the back door open:D

I had to get up at 5:35 today to train...Ugh! I surprisingly I feel pretty good though. I don't feel tired and I don't look tired. It was actually nice to have an hour to get my own workout in instead of 30 mins,

My legs are sore from yesterdays LBB. I have never had much DOMs from that workout until now. I used a 10 lbs weight with the lunges where Cathe uses none...maybe that did it. I also didn't run first and I always find it harder when my legs aren't lose. So todays workout was 30 mins on the TM mixed with with High Reps UB. I wanted to get the ab work in but that didn't happen. I am liking the way my UB looks more and more all the time! Gett'in me ready from some Cuba action!:p

Oh...yesterday my dad saw a rat on our back patio:confused: Can you say yuck?? We don't have any houses behind us. Its just trees, the road and then a pond...so I am sure there are rodents close by everywhere. Anyway...DH found where he was living (which was outside..thank goodness) and set a trap. Dead rat..he's a goner. I did feel kinda bad for him but can you imagine if he got into my house some how???

LauraR** Nice workout this morning!

Wendy** Any plans for this weekend???

I was the last to post yesterday and that was in the afternoon. Quiet bunch!

Lori:: No plans this w/e except for dinner at my mom's possibly. The Super Bowl is Sunday evening so I plan to stay as far away from any tvs that have it on it. ;) Yes, I sure do miss running. Want to get back into it some day. Gotta wait for the schedule to allow gym time or for a bigger house so I can buy myself a TM. I prefer the 2nd of the 2 options but will happily take either as opposed to not running at all. Who knows how long this will take though...:confused: If you can fit the training in your schedule w/o giving yourself an anxiety attack or exhausting yourself, I would go for another marathon if I were you for sure! :)

LauraR:: Glad you enjoyed SJP. Have a great day/night. I really don't know what time it is by you. How far ahead/behind EST are you?
 
Wendy** I def wouldn't be doing another marathon until my course is complete and I have more time. Either giving up this job or settling into a new routine with the PT stuff. So Imay entertain the thought of doing another this Fall but I won't be registering just yet:p I wonder how long it will take you to build up running again? You may be able to jump right back in or it may take you a while...one never knows. I am surprised my run was so good today b/c my legs are sore. I mostly feel it when I am walking down the steps though.

Oh and pat on the back for me! Its been a whole week since I have ordered anything from lululemon! LOL The sweater I have been eyeing is on sale though!! I didn't get any packages this week...which means I will be receiving 4 next week! Hope DH isn't home when they arrive! LOL

Lori:: It took me a while to build up my endurance for running the first time and it's already been 1.5 years since I last ran. I'm thinking by the time I am able to get back into it that it will be like starting all over again with a 1 min run (@ 5 mph) and 2 min walk. Seriously. I think that's how I started! I couldn't muster anything else. I was dying!!!! :eek: LOL re your lack of ordering lately. I am just sitting back and waiting to be able to use my gc and 15% off coupon I got from Cathe for my success story submission. I have a list of things I want but am not ordering anything until the tower comes back in stock!!!!
 
Hi ladies,

Oh, I feel worse today than I did yesterday or the day before that. I have some stuff at work to do, darn it. I'm going to check my calendar and see if I have everything I need to work from home today.

I really need to get STS legs done. My legs look so much better when I lift heavy...heavier than I go with STS at home. I'm going to have to find time in my schedule to start hitting the rec ctr at lunch.

The Spring Fitness Challenge starts on Monday. This is similar to the bootcamp class outside, but it is inside at the rec ctr. Lots of stair running, circuits etc....I'm so looking forward to it. My most favorite though is summer bootcamp at the football field.

LauraR-SJP is pretty fun huh! Congrats on the weightloss comments. If you can see/feel your improvement its all good. Sometimes we just have to step away from the scale.

LauraT-sounds like you're not feeling much better either. I haven't been coughing too much, but this sinus congestion and headache are getting old.

Wendy-I think adding BBW as the second leg w/o is a perfect idea. It won't take your whole w/o time and leaves you time for abs or a short cardio. What a good idea. The coworker who I lent insanity too...she's loving it. She says its super hard and she can't do all of it...she's doing as much as she can.

Lori-You are a busy girl. Maybe you need to tell SIL and MIL that they need to leave the training area when their session is over. As a courtesy, they should take their conversation elsewhere so you can give your full attention to your next client. No lululemon this week...well you probably bought just about everything they offer by now! Glad you are seeing the results of all your UB work!

Jacque-How are you feeling? Have you tried using wintergreen essential oil and rubbing it on your temples for your migraines? I've only had a true migraine twice in my life, and don't know how people can live with them. I was literally puking my guts out and my head never heard so bad. I was even crying. It happened once as a teenager, and again when I was pregnant. I rarely have a headache, and am not very tolerant of them when I do get one.

Diana:: Yeup, my thoughts exactly regarding the BBW. I figure it should definitely take less then 30 minutes which is perfect. :) Glad the Insanity lend isn't going unappreicated atleast. I could never lend that one out cause I could get the urge to do a work out at any moment and would be mad if I didn't have it. Do you plan to purchase Asylum? What about P90X MC2? I want both of them. My birthday is at the end of April so hopefully I can ask for one as a gift! :D
 
Wendy-I definitely want Asylum, not sure if I'm interested in the new P90X. I have P90X+ and two of the 4 discs haven't been opened and I've had them for a couple years at least.

Hey ladies!

TGIF!!! Well I took Nyquill last night :eek: WOW .. I dont even think I turned over ... I got a FULL night's sleep .. have a bit of a sleepy nyquill hangover .. but I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER ... maybe I am over the hump now. I ended up not teaching last night ..weather here was horrible .. and I didnt have but a few people show so I canceled .. it was for the best .. the universe KNEW I needed to rest!!! ;)

LauraR - WTG on the workout .. and the compliments!

Wendy - what core cardio and balance? is that a Cathe workout??

Di - hate you are feeling worse .. that is the way I was ystdy .. I am hoping I am on the mend ... (nock on wood) .. the cough is still bad .. but not like it was ystdy!!

Lori - IA w/Di - I would ask the relatives for privacy when you are training a client .. that is only right! You are gonna make me look at lululemon stuff again arent you????????? ggggrrrrrrrrrr

Jacque .. hope all is well ... if you have a migraine I feel for you .. they are bad .. and nothing helps but meds, darkness, and quiet!!

OK .. gotta jet .. I hope I am on the mend and looking forward to getting back on track w/the workouts and eats ... have a great weekend!!:D
 
OK Miss Lori - which lululemon wear do you wear and why?? the shorts look comfy but REAL short .. will my POOCHY backside be exposed in downward dogs or low holds???? I would love to find some comfy - efficient shorts that dont ride up or expose anything ... the tank looks good too .. but is it supportive enough to do plyo work in???
 
Diana:: I was never a fan of P90X+ either but I think this new X is supposed to be more akin to the original the + was. I'm gonna try it. WTH! :p

LauraT:: Ugh, hate the nyquil hang over feeling but glad you are feeling better overall. Core Cardio and Balance is an Insanity recovery work out.
 
Wendy** Ah...whatever it takes to get back into it. It may seem a little slow in the beginning but I have a feeling it won't take you long. I took some time off while I was preggo and I started back when I could. Before I knew it I was running 9 miles on Sat's....I guess that kinda helped get the baby weight off!

Diana** Sorry to hear you aren't feeling any better today. Hopefully some rest this weekend will help you feel better. How is work going these days?

Laura** Hehehe! I haven't bought everything just yet! The scuba hoodies are sooo warm and well worth the money. I have the wunder under capris, love them. I have the run inspire crops, love them to. And I have a few of the push your limits tanks and some scoop tanks but I perfer the push your limits. I haven't ordered any shorts yet..its on my list! I will probably order them next. Glad to hear you are feeling better!!! I love sleeps where I don't move!

Lori:: You and I are different animals when it comes to running. I'll bet my bottom dollar it takes me far longer to get my running endurance back then it took you. I think you have a bit of natural ability in you. I, OTOH, have none! :p
