Hello fit ladies!

Anyone know where Dutchie or Mariangles are? I miss our EU friends.

Today will be S&H CB or TB and if I'm feeling really great maybe a little cardion (no promises). I had a wonderful workout yesterday with Imax (original).

Hope those of you who were feeling under the weather are feeling better today. Seems like about 1/2 of us were fighting colds.

The job interview went very well. We shall see! It has a lot of what I want - back to my database marketing roots, client facing, small company, writing requirements, bright and passionate group. I'd have to commute by T or train, which might not be all that bad (certainly a lot better when my son graduates). Turns out one of the founders, worked at the same company I did awhile back. I don't know salary etc so I'll have to see, given it's in the city, it should be higher. The head guy mentioned the next step and doing reference checks, when I emailed a follow up, he replied back and said he is looking forward to talking more.

Work today and interview #2 of the week tomorrow and phone screen tomorrow in the pm.

Today is my only work day this week!

Have great workouts all!

Good morning Robyn and all that follow!

Robyn, congrats on the interview! It sounds like things will work out for you! And lucky you, only working one day this week.

Today will be a total body weight workout for me. I'll make it up myself and pick some good jammin' music!

I think our "deep freeze" weather is supposed to lift today - highs in the 50s! I've decided that anything below 30 is just too cold. Of course, anything above say, 75, is just too hot! ;-)

Good morning Robyn and Shannon and all who follow. Today on my rotation I was supposed to do PS BBA, but I don't have it, so instead I did PUB followed by All Step cardio only. I'm wiped and desperately need a shower. I did the cardio on an 8" step for the first time in awhile and boy did I feel it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Katie

Good morning ladies

Sandra....I'll join you with the cold! The Chest & Back in P90X just doesn't have the "fun" factor for me. The chest work is all push-ups (various kinds) I have always liked flys and bench press for chest better than push-ups. The back is mostly pull-up's and chin-ups with a few other back excersies too. My chest is talking to me today though!! I felt good after the long run, a bit tired yesterday, and the cold doesn't help...but as you said, this too shall pass...:)

Congrats on the weight loss Annette!

Thanks Robyn...I am hoping the Airborne will at least shorten the duration..I have also wondered where Mariangeles has been?...Dutchie too, but I know she gets busy with work and her boys. Enjoy your workout and good luck with the interview tomorrow!

Kali..I have used the tubing too...WOW...

Wendy...thanks, yes I have tried coldeeze before, Airborne has helped me in the past so I'll see...:)

I agree Shannon, anything under 30 is way cold!! I think between May and most of Sept, we are always above 75.

Katie...an 8 inch step would for sure wipe me out..good workout.

I'll be attempting CardioX, PLB standing and a 5 mile run. We will see what my cold lets me do...:)...

Have a great day :)...Carole

Good Morning...

This check in is turning into a bunch of sickies, ey? :p

I am still not better so I will be shortening my work out today. The rotation calls for Cardio Kicks + a 30 mins run. I'll be doing 30 mins of Cardio Kicks + 30 mins rebounder. I may have to shorten it even further...we'll see how I feel....:-(

Have a great day ladies!

Everyone who is under the weather...get better!!!!

Good morning,

Today was supposed to be CTX upper body, but my VCR is acting goofy, so I did MIS upper body instead.

Have a good one!

Good morning,

I hope everyone is feeling better today, and those who aren't (Wendy) feel better soon!

Robyn, good job on the interview you had, and for good luck with the one coming up tomorrow. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Carole and Shannon, I don't know how you guys handle the cold weather. I'm a South Florida native, so anything below 50 is just too cold for me. :)

No workouts for me this past weekend, and none yet for today. I think I'm going to stop with the P90X rotation for a while. Lately it's been hard motivating myself to do those workouts, and considering all the interruptions I face, the last thing I need is wavering motivation.

For example, this morning alone I tried to do P90X Chest, Shoulders and Triceps, and due to countless interruptions here at sit at 11:00am having accomplished nothing. Since I have to take mil to the airport in 45min, I don't have enough time to complete it right now. I'm so frustrated. I started my workout at 8am with the intention of being finished at 10am. First dh called because the speech he wrote and emailed to himself and several others as backup, didn't arrive. Of course the function is today and he had to have the speech, right. I stopped to email it to him, but the internet wasn't working. After 45 minutes of trying to fix it, I gave up, and drove to his job to drop off the file. Of course when I got back home the internet was working. No problem, it was only 9:30am, so I tried again. 5 minutes into the warm-up my sis called. I was able to get out of that call easily, but I had to warm up again. 5 minutes into the warm-up my mom called. I told her I was working out, but she said she had to have a number right then. Of course the number wasn't upstairs so I had to stop, go downstairs and get the numbers, and give them to her. Totally cold and frustrated at this point I call my dh and vented for a few minutes. After calming down, I decided to give it another go since I had just enough time to at least complete the video and maybe a short run on the treadmill (although plyo was really on the schedule today). As I'm about to start the video, the phone rings again and this time it's mil.

No one except dh understands the impact of these interruptions. To them, I have all day, and I can just get back to it, but when I'm not feeling motivated like I have been the past two weeks, it's hard enough for me to just get started -- let alone, find it in me to keep starting time and time again. Anyway, I think I'm getting bored with P90X and that may be part of the reason for the low motivation. I'm having no problems with motivation for the runs/jogs however. Yesterday was a 40min run/jog.

Sorry for the long ramble, and thanks for letting me vent.

I'm telling you all now so that I will be accountable later that I will do some form of cardio for 30-40 minutes, and some chest/tricep workout today.

Take care,
Pamela

Good morning!

Well, I did it! I bit the bullet and got up at 5:30 this morning to do my workout. I've been really wanting to go back to first-thing-in-the-morning workouts for quite some time, but the baby's schedule wouldn't allow it. Things have worked themselves out, however, and I found myself doing Step Works at 6:30 this morning. With a head cold. It felt rough. But I did it!!! I also did PUB last night after supper. Have I said a thousand times before that I LOVE that workout? I get such a great pump in my upper body. Feels great!!

Robyn - great news on the job interview yesterday. You're in an enviable position, with possibly being able to choose between different jobs. Good luck! And good work on IMAX yesterday!

Shannon - enjoy your home made workout today!

Katie - I try to do one to two step workouts on the 8" step every week. It makes a significant difference to the intensity level, doesn't it? If I do more than two workouts on the 8" step, my left knee starts to squawk. I wish you well with Step Blast tomorrow!

Carole - I think I'm with you about preferring flies and presses over a variety of push ups and chin ups, etc. I hope your cold gets better soon. For me, I just accept that my workout isn't going to feel as "easy" on that particular day. Once I acknowledge that, I seem to be able to get through it better. I hope you have a nice run, despite the illness.

TiGGer - will you be changing your screen name soon? :) BodyMax is a real test of endurance. You did great with it yesterday. I hope you're at least able to do part of your cardio today. Happy hopping!!

Judy - I'm not surprised your glutes are sore today. Excellent work!

Pamela - oooooh, I feel your frustration!!! That would drive me insane, too. That's one of the reasons I prefer to workout at 6am - nobody wants anything from me that early in the morning! With my last 4 months of workouts being done in the late afternoon/early evening, I always felt like I was having to work too hard just to carve out one uninterrupted hour of time. Perhaps you're right, and you just need to change up your workouts a bit. Maybe you should plan the next 7 days of workouts right now, and only plan your very favourites? Maybe that will help revive your motivation.

Have a double-grr-GREAT day!!
Sandra

Hi everyone,

Sorry to have been MIA lately. I had to fight off this sinus inflammation with some antibiotics. Yes, we're a sickly little bunch ;-)

AND my kids are hogging my computer again. I have to solve this problem by either setting up a network so everyone has access to the internet from their own computer, or set up an extra computer in my study area (then I can still keep an eye on who they're chatting with/sites they visit).

Anyways, didn't do much working out last week, but yesterday I did a 60min easy run plus PP-legs double premix.

And today I did MM-legs adding on KM-leg drills and CTX UB.

Well, have to get cooking (lentil soup with turkish bread). What's everyone else having for dinner (need some ideas for the rest of the week).

Have a great day and a wonderful w/o!

Nice to see you again, Dutchie! I hope the sinus infection goes away soon. Those are very painful. I would LOVE to have lentil soup with turkish bread for dinner (sounds soo delicious!). But I think we're having roasted chicken breasts, cheese tortellini with pesto sauce, and a mixture of beans and baby carrots. I'll probably also eat some cooked spinach with the meal, and have a cup of V-8 juice.

Cheers,
Sandra

Hi all, I was wondering the same thing about Mariangles myself!! Since I restarted doing taebo I was thinking of her.

I did PS Shoulders and Triceps today along with CTX Kickbox, and I maintained the 2 pound loss so I am hoping that means more weight will start to come off!!

Hope you all have a great day.

Dutchie I knew you had been around, hope you are feeling better now!!

Well, I managed to do my hour that I said I would shoot for today...

Warm up and intensity drills of cardio kicks plus the cardio of the intermediate rebounding work out.

I feel good...:)

After I finished on the rebounder I might actually have been able to go back and do some more of CK but I didn't have time...just as well...no need to push it TOO hard...I'll NEVER get well!

Sandra, great work out at 6:30 am!!! I've never started a work out earlier than 7am! YOU GO GIRL!:)

Off to the showers for me!

Good afteroon everybody!! I hope everyone here who is sick gets better soon. There are a lot of you!!!

My w/o is done. IMAX3 intervals 7-10 with repeat of blast #10 to sub for the squat thrust climbers on the rotation, I can't do those because of my wrists.

I am going out to walk now. It is 60 degrees here and so pretty.

Have a nice afternoon all.
