I would suggest the Classics Vol 1 DVD, or the Cardio Hits DVD....:)...Carole

Jes, you are in no way daft!!! I know myself I have missed a few things in this daily post and have had to go back often...thank you though...I am doing much better every day. Super human I don't know...."crazy" is a better word for me...http://bestsmileys.com/bouncing/14.gif[/img]...Carole

Good morning,

This morning I did Christie Taylor's Totally Cool Step.

Wendy - yeah, it's hard to believe I'm only 3.5 weeks away from the point where Baby will no longer be considered premature. How are you doing with losing the baby weight? Given the rotation you're doing, I imagine you must be seeing some success? Your sub for PS Legs and the 20 min run sounds perfect. Enjoy!! And quarantine that husband in the guest room until he's feeling better.

Annette - happy birthday to your son! The teenage years are rough; I hope you retain your sanity.

Jes - good grief, I must have missed your post about your neck. That sounds very severe, and painful. Is there anything that can be done to help it? I'm doing okay. Just wish there were more hours in the day.

Char - yup, you can feel proud that you did part of your planned workout. It's definitely better than doing nothing. Good for you!

Millie - welcome to the forums and the daily check-in! Great to have you here! What Cathe cardios do you own? Step Blast, Rhythmic Step, or any of the older steady-state cardios are terrific (Step Works, Power Max, Step Fit.....).

Kim - LOL! That's just what I was thinking! What's up with all the blank space?

Shelley - I'm an academic, so I write boring research reports (paid work) and am in the final stages of a tedious dissertation (slave labour) :p . I don't miss that horrible Ontario humidity. I don't blame you for staying in bed!

Carole - so glad to hear that your ribs are better!! Your nephew is a chiropractor, isn't he? It's good to have relatives like that!

Emily - great progress with LowMax! That's a fun workout, IMO.

Had to take DD back to the doctor's yesterday because few days after finishing her antibiotics for tonsilitis, her head congestion came back full force, and she started complaining of a sore ear. Turns out, the meds didn't entirely get rid of the bug, and we're back to square one. So, she now has an ear infection, and is back on another set of meds. Poor kid. The doctor even prescribed a steroid nasal spray because her sinuses are so congested. These bugs are nasty.

Have a good day everyone!
Sandra

Morning all. Today was SJP step and hi/lo portion only, followed by SB Challenge and then 100 walking lunges. I am going to have to work my way up to 200. I thought "Hey, piece of cake", but then about 50 through I thought "Holy cow!!!" So, I'll try 150 next time. Plus, I have some slight DOMS from BootCamp yesterday.:7

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Wendy and Sandra - Hope the family feels better.:(

Katie

Had a great day day. Did CT Express with additional Step Blast Challenge. Stayed on course with healthy eating - lots of fruits and veggies. Walked a lot. Went to dinner last night and had just a taste of microbrew, then half the sandwich. Doing well.

Still thinking about that August rotation. :)

Kassie

This morning was a pre-mix of Low Max (same rotation as Emily and Shelley). I thought the dynamic outer thighs would never end. x(

Missy - I went to Indiana University so I remember Brown County well! Beautiful! Have a wonderful time!

Millie - you may want to get Low Max - that's a good one that's not complicated. She builds up the combo instead of jumping right into it like in Imax3. I just got I3 and it is a little complicated. I had to rewind a lot. It will just take a little more practice! It's still a lot of fun and GREAT music!

Carole - OUCH! You really took a spill! I hope you feel better soon. I plan on running this weekend after a 2 week hiatus due to vacation.

Have a fabulous day, everyone!

Thanks gals for all your "support" with a new teenager in the house. For the 1st time last night going to swimming lessons he got to ride in the front seat, he thought that was "cool".LOL!!

I did Hardcore Kickbox Circuit today.

Does anybody know what to do for a knee that is slightly swollen and sometimes painful?

Thanks!:) :7

ok. i did it. i went to the gym and did legs, 20 mins on the recumbent bike, 5 mins on stairclimber and 10 mins on the treadmill. then i came home and did abs. i remembered to wear my HRM for the cardio and i burned 350. not as many as a Cathe workout, but it's something more than i have done in almost a month, so good for me!

Annette: forgive me for being clueless, but why do you suddenly have a teenager? is a relative visiting or something? Keep your knee elevated, put ice on it for a bit and take Glucoseamine;-)

jes

Jes, my oldest son just turned 13 yesterday so 'He' is my "new" teenager in the house!! I now will have a teenager in the house for the next 10 years,OH MY!!

thanks for the info about my knee!

Good Afternoon Fit Ladies,

I did BC this morning a 10 minutes of extra ab work, I did thid instead of Core Synergistics.

Keep Up the Good Work!

Onix

Hi everybody!

Looks like I am the last one to check in, but it was so busy at work x( !

I did S&H Legs and Shoulders this morning, I always like the leg segment. I used a 40 pounds barbell through the whole segment and I am very proud of myself. }( I dropped down for the lunges last week, but not this week, yeah!!! :D

Maybe I should do another week of S&H? But I am ready for something else I think, maybe a Cathe rotation, I never have done one

Hope you all have a great rest of the day
Kristine :)

Annette- We are in the middle of teenager over load ourselves around here! What were we thinking???
 x(

Carole- I hope you are healingandfeeling better; Those bruises probably don't feel or look to pretty. I am sorry x(

Hey everyone.

Yup, it has been confirmed. DH has strep. GREAT! lol x( :p :-(

I did my home-made sub for my rotation today. It took a total of 70 minutes from warm-up to stretch. I cut Coremax short though or it would have been about 80 minutes.

It was my first time trying that dang levitation hold thingy...I got my butt and thighs up off the ground...is that good for a first-timer???

And the corkscrews!? BWAHAHAHAHA!:7 I tried but I failed pretty miserably. I will be doing the alternate move for that one next time!

TTYL!:)

Wendy, I am sorry to hear that your DH has strep. Just stay away from him, so you and Joey don't get it.

My husband was sick last week and it is always a torture, because men always die when they are sick, don't they? x(

Kristine :)

Hi Ladies,

I did the floorwork of PLB starting with inner thighs on the ball till the end. Did the outer thighs on the ball twice. Boy was my legs shaking! I have done segments 1&2 of coremax and will try to do the third tonight. Won't be too disappointed if I don't!

Have a good evening!

kim

Hello Everyone,

I'm really late today! I was in training all day and didn't have access to a computer.

Tonight will be Imax 2 and a seg of coremax.

Went out with the group of Waukesha Catheites last night, and we all had a great time. I think the talking could have gone on a lot longer, but everyone had to be getting home. :)

Have a great evening everyone,

Laurie Mac

Hey everybody....

Yesterday was rest day and my big calorie day on my zigzag eating plan, how great was that. DD, my SIL, and I went to Charlotte and spent the day. I live in a rural area and don't get to the "big city" often...;) ... we had a great time. We ate a nice restaurant uptown called the Monticello, very nice. We went to Dean and Deluca which is an upscale market with gourmet foods. We had a great time.

DD and I have been moving loads of her things to her new apartment since Tuesday. DH got home today so we will move the big things tomorrow, bed, dresser, desk, etc. I've gotten ALOT of exercise hauling that stuff up two flights of stairs... she's on the third floor. DD, my brother and DD's BF is going to have a blast tomorrow moving that heavy furniture up two flights of stairs!!

Today is my interval day, and I was thinking one of the IMAX's but I saw so much LowMax on the check-in today, I believe I'll do that.

Sandra - I'm so sorry about your daughter. I hope she feels better soon. You are certainly getting close. Be careful in your w/o's.

Carole - glad you are on the mend. When those ribs get hurt, they take a while to heal.

Well, I'd read all I can now on the forums trying to catch up a little bit but I'd better get started on my w/o.

Oh BTW, this is way off topic for this thread, but all of you Cathe book clubbers, I bought The Kite Runner last night and am looking foward to starting it.
