Hi ladies!

I've been not that focused on working out but I'm back.

College tours went really well. We liked Holy Cross alot our favorite!

Well I did recieve an offer - the other company called last night (the President) nice to be wanted - they are interested too. The 3rd set up face to face interviews but I'm cancelling! So I think I made up my mind. My current company may counter!

I'm 99.9% sure I know what to do. Lots of soul searching!

We have the kitchen plans done :) Now to get the final estimate OUCH!

Today will be KM I think.

Have a good day all.

Gotta go deposit $ in my DD's account!

Hi Robyn and good morning to all who follow :)

Congrats on the interview! You must be feeling great right now. Glad the college tours went well -- that's also such an exciting time. You have a lot going on in your life right nowx, so wonder you're not that focused on working out right now. I hope your renovation plans go more smoothly than mine. We're still not finished with my project.

I've never tried KM, is it harder than KPC? DD had her party last night. The party was a success, but I am wiped out. My whole body aches, and I only got 3 hours of sleep last night. (My 3 year old went to sleep before everyone and, like clockwork, he rose with the sun.)

Today is probably going to be cardio & core only. Maybe I'll try KM.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!
Pamela

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

Today I'm going to do 90xShoulders/Arms, a 30 min run on the treadmill and some ab work.

It is snowing like crazy here!

Robyn: Great news!

Pamela: KM is hard. I prefer KPC over KM, but the blasts in KM are a real calorie burner.

Hello to all that follow...have a great Saturday!

Morning all!

Haven't checked in for a couple of days.

Robyn - you must feel great having so much to choose from!

Pamela - Was your DD's party a sleepover? I would have to say KM is harder. The workouts are structured differently, but the blast in KM is killer!

Yesterday was GS Legs Timesaver #2 (the 49 minute one), SJP step and hi/lo premix and SJP abs and planks.

Today I'm supposed to run 8 miles but I'm STILL having hip issues, so I'm not sure.

Good Saturday morning, ladies!

Shelley-should we be worried about the hip pain just yet? Seems like it's been lingering for a bit now. Take it easy.

Robyn-WOW, that is a lot going on. Since I'm pretty new here to the check-in, would you mind telling me what you do for a living?

Tammy-enjoy the snow. I wish we've had more this winter. Enjoy your workout too!

Pamela-I like KM because of the blasts in the middle. The leg conditioning drills are also a good addition to a leg day! Try it out!

As for me, I was up early this morning as planned:
PLB standing weight work,
Core Max #3,
100 reverse lunges each leg
BIG set of leg curls and leg extensions on weight bench
Treadmill HILL climb for 1 hour, 4+ miles.

FEELING GOOD!

Carole-I think I've decided to take your advice and stick with Freestyle for another 2 or 3 weeks. I'm REALLY LOVING the strength I feel in my legs and hips these days...not just during my workouts but during my normal everyday things.

OK...gotta go shower; 1 year old neice is coming to visit for a few hours and my boys are climbing the walls waiting patiently! LOL

Have an AWESOME SATURDAY!

Gayle

Hi Friends-

Today is a rest day on the Feb Cathe rotation. I'm takin' it. I may do some abs if I get ambitious.

Shelly- What is up with our hips? I am sorry to read they are giving you trouble! Is it all the running?
Tammy- The snow landed east ove your way, we only have a few inches.

Robyn- college tours are fun but they evoke thoughts of babes leaviing the nest, and tears! ...When ever I hear the Loggins & massina song 'House at Pooh Corner' I break into tears and miss my two oldest kids terribly!

Pam- KPC and KM are just different. KM takes longer to get to the all-out-of-breath section. But once there it is nasty! IMO (Nasty in a good way)

Hi fitness chicks!

Well, today calls for Circuit Max and CTX 10*10*10 cardio only. I may trade out CTX for something else though just because I can. :p I'd actually like to trade out CM too...not a big fan of it.:-( AAAAHHH well...gotta do what we gotta do, right? ;)

Yesterday I only had time for 2/3 of what I had planned on doing...I did Step till you drop 2 warm up and the first step segment on a 6" step. Choreo is much different from Cathe's so it took getting used to but I ended up liking it. :D After that I did the Advanced rebounder work out. It was a total of 56 mins (not including w/u + c/d/stretch) and 584 calories burned!}(

Rebounding seems to be on par in cals burned with a medium intensity step work out. That's what I consider Step Till You Drop. For the 35 min step routine I burned 358 cals. For the 21 min rebounding routine I burned 226 cals. I'm happy! :)

The rebounder was DEFINATELY a better and more useful purchase than the gazelle. I am going to try to convince either my friend or my mom (who are both saying they want to start exercising)to borrow it from me so that I can get it the heck outta my way for a while! LOL I bought my mom a Leslie Sansone DVD to try...I'm waiting for it to arrive and I suggested to my friend that she buy one for herself....We shall see what happens! My friend also wants to come over here and try the rebounder out...

Okay, sorry for the long post!:p

Good morning fitness buddies... it is a balmy 45 degrees here in NC this morning and I'm going for a 45 minute run.

I have lots and lots of errands to do today, so after the run and a shower, I'll be gone for the better part of the day.

Have a good weekend!!!!

Good morning ladies

Sandra...the bug felt better thursday, but friday...YUK! I ditched my workout and had a rest day..:)...I knew if I was feeling worse it wouldn't help my cold at all to work out. Today I do feel better...hope you are feeling better too ( yes, I know its slow going)...:)

Annette..that is nice you have some momento's from your Mom...:)...sounds like your workouts are going well.

Robyn..congrats on the interview...I do hope everything works out for you.

Pamela...3 hours of sleep can be a killer. Maybe you can get some rest today..:)...I agre with Tammy..KM is harder than KPC but I think KPC is way more FUN!

Tammy...I just love P90X shoulders and arms...have fun.

Shelley..sorry about the hip. Trying to run with any kind of injury is really hard.

Gayle..great workout. I hope sticking to Freestyle a bit longer helps. All I know is working my legs in any way does really help my running.

Wendy...sounds like the rebounder is fitting great into your workouts! I had one years ago, but I doubt it was made as well as they are now..

Judy...rest days are good. Sneaking in some abs would be fun..:)

Jane..have a great run.

I am doing some legwork, abs and KPC.

Have a great day...:)...Carole

Hi, everyone. Happy Saturday... my favorite day of the week.

I am resigned to my "vacation" week from impact work. I will survive! :D So, today is my own upper body workout, and I'm going heavy for a solid hour. Then I'll do about 20 minutes of abs. Also leaning towards my own routine there... can I make it an entire day without one little dose of Cathe? I also want to go on a walk with the dog. Will wear my super-duper hiking boots to provide maximum support to the foot.

I've been icing the Achilles tendons like crazy. They do feel better.

In case I don't get on again, everyone have a good weekend!

Good morning,

This morning I did HCExtreme#2: hi/lo intervals. Phew!!! I like that workout alot, until she tacks on the KM Blast Challenge at the end! I feel like I've earned my rest day tomorrow. I have to pause that workout at the start of the KM blasts, because she gives you NO recovery after the IMAX3 10th interval. I think I'd have heart failure if I went right from that interval into the KM blasts! Can anyone do that? It seems unhuman.

Robyn - big changes happening in your life right now! When will you start your new job?

Pamela - IMO, KPC and KM are different, but both are very challenging. KM combos are easier than KPC's, but the KM blast challenge is harder than KPC's intensity drills. I'm glad the party went so well. Get some rest! Are we going to start the November rotation on Monday?

Tammy - enjoy your run! We have lots of snow, too. We're taking the kids sledding this afternoon (fun!).

Shelley - How do you like GS Legs Timesaver? Do you feel like you've worked your legs enough? That was a great workout you did yesterday.

Gayle - oh my! That was quite the treadmill workout you did - after all that leg work! Wow! Your legs feel stronger? I think mine would be jello after that! LOL!

Ach! I'm going to have to come back and read the rest of the posts later. Kate is demanding some Mommy-attention right now.

See you later!
Sandra

Morning ladies. Today is my rest day, but I felt like doing something so I went for a 20 minute run. It felt great! It's finally getting somewhat light around 6:30, so I can run on the weekends now.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Katie

Hi again,

I'm back. Just read the rest of the posts.

Wendy - you really burn a lot of calories! I'm thinking I might want to get one of those HRM; I may be burning more than I think I do.

Judy - I'd say you earned a rest day, with the Feb rotation! You're almost at the end, aren't you? Amazing!

Jane - have a good run and a great weekend!

Carole - funny how colds can wax and wane like that. Mine's on the way out, but it is taking it's time. Given Gayle's rave reviews about freestyle training, I may have to pick your brain about it some time :)

Shannon - have a nice weekend, and I hope your achilles tendons feel better really soon.

Katie - Morning runs are really nice, aren't they? I'm impressed that you had enough energy during this rotation to do one on your rest day. Wow!

Have a great weekend everyone. Both my kids are in the kitchen, and being suspiciously quiet. I'd better go see what's going on.

Sandra

That run was fantastic this morning, tons of energy. I tacked on a 20 minute walk after the 45 minute run. Love days like this.

Sandra - every time I do that w/o, I can't believe I am actually going out of blast #10 into KM blasts. I usually keep on keeping on, no heart failure yet but you sure feel like it at that time!!!

I've often wondered if this was a blunder in mixing the workout.

I was feeling a little restless tonight, so I did MTV Pilates Mix routine #2 and loved it!!! This is a keeper!!! I have some work to do but what a goal to work towards!

I also did StretchMax #3 with the band. Feeling a little tight after that run today.

I have a little announcement.... the other day, Shelley described the 72 pushups in one of Cathe's workouts. I'll be darned if I can remember which one, but it's one I don't have. I was really impressed that anybody could do that many and sure didn't think I could do it. But followed Shelley's description and did it!

One thing: I did an 8-count rest between each set. Is that longer than what Cathe does?

Congrats Shannon! Those drop set pushups are in GS: C/T and there is about an 8 count rest between each set.

Pat yourself on the back! Ummm...if you can still move your arms!

Hi, Tammy! Thanks for the info. Right now the arms still work. Whether they will tomorrow morning is a whole different story!
