Not sure what's going to happen today as I'm sick. Icky, stomach-y kind of sick. I was supposed to do GS BSB today. I'll see how I feel later.

Shelley, poor thing, hope you feel better soon.

Carole, we get the occasional snow, but this time it seems to be here to stay. Love walking with my doggies in the snow and they love it too, but I'm too afraid I'll twist my knee when I go out for a run so I'm confined to the tread mill.

Did S&H chest/triceps today (am doing a modified version of the March rotation) and have my 2nd spinning class tonight.
 
Hello fit ladies! I've missed you.

I've missed you. Last week was rather crazy giving my notice and all. I did taxes and financial aid forms for DD this weekend, plus still working on my living room furniture. Had 3 lunch plans (because of the leaving)and met a friend for lunch on Saturday.

This week is going to be crazy too 2 lunches and 1 breakfast and out for drinks (they are having a send off for me). We have my son's x-country skiing banquet and I just cancelled dinner plans on Monday.

I've been in a rut workout wise so I'm thinking CTX is perfect. It's short and intense. As you can see lots of eating too so I really need it!

My good guy friend is off for a year. We ended on NOT a good note but that just means another really good friend is right around the corner - right?

DD loved Barcelona :) So far that was her favorite place. Has anyone heard from Mariangellese?

Morning ladies! Well, I've decided to kick up the intensity a bit more this month and have chosen Cathe's January 2006 rotation. So, today was supposed to be BC, but since I did BC yesterday I replaced it with HSC followed by IMAX 2 intervals 1-5. This is going to be quite a month. Had to change the alarm from 4:30 to 4:00. I hope I survive.:7

Had fun at the gym yesterday. Used various machines...

I tried the pull up/chin up machine. :eek: :eek: :eek: is all I have to say about THAT! LOL

The roman chair for abs is waaay cool! I want one in my house!}(

I also did some exercise with a med ball and a stability ball that my SIL does with her clients. Some I've done and some I haven't. That was fun.

Then we went out and I did a 20 minute treadmill routine that is posted in the gym. It's a combo of walking and running but mostly walking. I was unsure of myself and a little awkward on the running but I enjoyed it...ofcourse, this work out only had me running for a minute or 2 at a time!!!!:p LOL

Last but not least I used an eliptical or some such thing for about 20 minutes...it was okay...I wasn't thrilled with it though.

So I have chickened out of doing a strength rotation at this point. Why? It's lack of cardio and my fear of gaining fat back!:eek:

Soooo...I am going to do a home-made CTX rotation that includes some rebounding and daily leg work in the form of walking lunges or gs floor work and ofcourse, LL.

I made a 4 week rotation and all weeks are a little different. I haven't decided which week I will start with. I'll be back later after I'm done to report what I did.

Today I did C & W, love that workout.

Good weekend, did Christi Solid Gold Cardio, GS Legs floorwork, and ab hits on Saturday.
Sunday was Coremax 2 and Stretchmax 2.

I am trying to do follow the March rotation, but I will be adding cardio and subbing where I don't have certain workouts.

Tammy..have fun with PUB. Those Pyramid workouts are just great!

Dutchie...good thing you have a treadmill then! We get snow maybe once a year, but not much and it usually is fun to run in as it is so pretty. When it ices over the naxt day is when I won"t run. Good workout!

Robyn...CTX sounds great for your busy week...:)

Katie...that Jan rotation was a killer!! Good luck...:)

Shannon, have fun with MIC, very intense.

Wendy...sounds like you had a great time at the Gym! Will you go again?

I did make 14 miles in the cold rain yesterday! Thought I'd never get warm when I was done!!

Yes I did...looked like a prune when I got out!!! Then stood in front of my woodstove for about 30 mins!!! My a$$ was very warm....:)...Carole

Today was supposed to be Kickmax. I previewed the blast section yesterday to prepare myself for it, and I left the dvd in the player. My son decided he wanted to watch a movie in my room, in my player, and he decided he would do it himself. Needless to say when I found my disc loose in the armoire this morning, I was not a happy camper. It doesn't work anymore. I've cleaned it a million times, but it has about 3 deep scratches. Aaargh! I'm glad I realized this after dh took the kids to school because I was furious, and I know I would have raised my voice!!! I guess I'm going to have to do KPC, but I'm so disappointed. I've never even done the entire KickMax. I only tried it once last week, and now it's ruined. Thanks for letting me vent.

Pamela, that sucks!! I'd be pretty upset too....grrrrrr! Good that you have all day to settle into it before talking to DS. You can get some animosity out with KPC}(

Conni, I like to mix a little Christie into my w/o's too. I jumped around with her this morning, Happy Hour hi/lo.:)

No appointments this morning so I enjoyed a long and varied workout. Christie Taylor Happy Hour followed by GS BSB, I finished with the ab section of an ooooold Charlene Prickett video, it did the job quite nicely and BONUS, no planks}( :+

Pamela - aarrrrgh!!!!! I would be furious, too!! These dvds are too expensive to keep replacing them, plus you were all psyched up to do it today. Are you going to order another one? I've seen a few people post about some place where you can send your dvd and they can repair them. Tomorrow is IMAX3. I'm dreading it already.....

Saturday, I did P90X Core Synergistics and you know what I LOVEDDDD IT :p :p :p My body is still sore can’t hardly move from side to side. Excellent Workout.

Tonight, GS legs followed by a 45 minute jog. Which should I do first, jog or leg workout? Or does it really matter.

I'm calm now. :) I probably wouldn't have been able to complete it anyway since I can't seem to shake this cold. I did get in 50 min of cardio, but I was aiming for the KPC/LG 82 minute premix. I was just so winded after the explosive plie squats that I knew that was it for me today -- that and the countless coughing fits. (My chest is so tight from this cold I can hardly breathe when I'm not exercising.)

Hopefully tomorrow I'll be well enough for IMAX3.

Sandra, I'm going to replace it since I was looking forward to trying those leg conditioning drills. Also, they're in the rotation again for week 4.

Well today I did Interval cardio for about 45 minutes and the firm jiggle free abs. I'm going to do a stretch later. Have a good workout everyone.

Hello everybody....

Carole - 14 miles in the rain... now that's dedication.

A rest day for me today for sure. I got in to see my doctor today after another night of excruciating pain in my shoulder and no sleep (third in a row). My internist felt sure we are dealing with rheumatoid arthritis in my shoulder (as if I don't have enough joints affected already!!!)x(

Anyway he felt I needed a steroid injection and he didn't want to touch me since I was an RA patient sooooo he called my rheumatologist who is in the same medical complex (and who I just saw two weeks ago for my three month check) and off I go to his office. He injected my shoulder and it is feeling better, not hurting as much but my mobility isn't any better yet. I'll see what tomorrow brings. I definitely need to get in cardio tomorrow and since I am trying to do one body part a day now, we'll see which body part doesn't protest too much when I work it.:+

Jane...thanks for the update. I hope you can get some sleep tonight and tomorrow finds your shoulder feeling better. (((HUGS)))
