Cathlete
Morning all!

There are some INTENSE workouts going on around here lately!

I didn't work out last night. I'm fighting a cold and was coughing like crazy last night, plus my left hip is still really sore. Okay, okay, I know. Excuse, excuses. I'll be back at it today with KPC and chest. Working on my push-ups right now, in fact;)

Happy Friday!

Good Morning Fit Chicks!!!

:7 :7 :7 :7 TGIF:7 :7 :7 :7

Today I'm going to do StepBlast and some ab work. It has been a crappy workout week for me...way too disconnected...BLECHx(.

I wanted to do a treadmill run today, but for some weird reason my running shoes are now too big with the orthotics in them and hence the blisters.

Shelley: Take care of that hip! KPC is my favorite of Cathe's kickboxing.

Hello to all that follow...have a great day!

Good Morning girls!

I'd like to finish the January rotation but I think I'm going to hold off until Monday. My throat is still buggin' me. I can deal with it. I know I could get through the work outs in the rotation but I don't want to push too hard too soon and turn a simple sore throat into something hideous!

I'll be doing a relatively short rebounding work out again today!:+

TTYL!:)

Hi, ladies. Up and at 'em early again!

Shelley-why does the hip hurt? I remember you mentioning it hurting after a run earlier in the week...is my memory right ofr a change?

Wendy-how are you liking the rebounder?

Tammy-Enjoy SB and get reconnected!

Most of my workout is done. 3 mile run (wanted to go for 6 or 7, but snuggling time won out this morning, lol). Then Gym style floor work then Boot Camp core premix. After I drop DS off at school, I'll be doing back weight work.

TGIF! HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!

What are your workout plans for this weekend? Anything? I could go for a good weekend challenge.

Gayle

Hi everyone -
Today will probably be PLB and abs. But the way I'm feeling right now, the workout may get nixed. I hope not!

This weekend is a 3-dayer for me, thanks to President's day! That means I've got three great days with lots of workout time. All indoors, because we're supposed to get ice and sleet starting tonight, lasting on and off all weekend. Hopefully not too much accumulation - if the power goes out, I won't be able to work out! ;)

I hope everyone has a great weekend, whether it's two days or three.

Hi Gayle! Oh snuggling must ALWAYS win out when possible! How wonderful!:+

I like the rebounder so far. The first day was rough. It really hurt. I guess it was something my body was a complete stranger to and so it revolted! LOL Yesterday was much better though! I felt it in my muscles but it was a GOOD feeling this time! I think it's fun and different and seems to be a good cardio workout. I'm glad I bought it. I just hope my coordination doesn't get the best of me as I move on to more advanced work outs and end up getting frustrated cause I can't do the moves! I've already come across something that I can't quite do yet and I've only gotten to the BEGINNER work out! LOL

Have a great day!:+

Hi everyone,

Feeling strange myself today. I was supposed to do the short cardio challenge on the rotation, but I started with Imax 2 and just didn't feel like "accelerating" with Imax 3, so I just did Imax 2 in its entirety. My energy level just wasn't up to speed though, I even modified a few intervals, which I rarely do, but I just felt heavy and winded. Then I did the abs from C & W just to add to the fray.

Well, thats my whining for the day. I can't wait for Friday to be OVER!

I think I will do MM tomorrow and coremax 3 and stretchmax 3 on Sunday. Have a great weekend.

Morning again!

Tammy - how odd that your shoes are too big with the orthotics. I would have thought the other way around.

Wendy - I'm glad you're enjoying the rebounder:)

Gayle - I really have no idea why my hip is hurting so much. It was fine until my run on Tuesday, but running doesn't usually make my hips hurts. Well, not 4 miles anyway. The only thing I can think is that I somehow hurt it dancing last weekend.

Shannon - I'm so jealous of your three day weekend!

Conni - I've had those days too. Best just to tone it down a bit until the energy is back:)

Good morning,

Yesterday I finished off the PS series with triceps, and did Step Jam. SJ was about right for me yesterday - my glutes, quads and lower back are feeling the PS leg workout I did the day before. I'm feeling plenty of DOMS everywhere from doing the PS series this week. I have a soft spot in my heart for SJ. It was my first Cathe workout, and I've always liked how well the choreography flows, once you get past all the repetitive arm motions at the start!

Shelley - If you're not feeling well, a rest is a good thing. Take it easy with that hip, so you don't end up sidelined. Did you watch the women's cross snowboarding race this morning? We won a bronze, but I'm not sure how! That was a crazy race!

Tammy - I don't like weeks like that. I hope SB makes you feel better.

Wendy - I have a sore throat too. Did you cyber-sneeze on me? :) You still haven't told me whether a rebounder is one of those mini-trampolines, or what the heck it is.

Gayle - I plan to do The Gauntlet on Saturday. Do you consider that a challenge?

Shannon - thanks for reminding me that we have a three day weekend, too! In Alberta (not in the rest of Canada), we get "Family Day" off on Monday. I hope you're feeling well enough to do some great workouts this weekend.

Conni - I hope you're not fighting off a bug, too. I like the way you modified your workout. How did DH's MRI go? I hope it's nothing serious??

Teddygirl - wow, you're working very intensely these days!

Dutchie - I wonder if your face inflammation would be called a sinus infection in English? I didn't realize that English wasn't your first language - you're so fluent!

Annette - I'll be doing Cardio Kicks today, but without weighted gloves. That was nice that you wore red for your mother.

Jane - I'm not surprised that you were ready for a cardio break yesterday! You've had a great week!!

Tammy - I like the PS series more every time I do them. I've had them for a couple of years, but have probably only done them, oh maybe 10 times. I've always like the SH series better. But this time 'round I enjoyed them much more. And they are so similar to the Gym Styles! The two series work very well together. Good workout yesterday!

Lisa - Here's another pat on the back for doing all those push ups on your toes. That's quite an accomplishment! I really like HSCircuit. It's a fun, fast workout.

Pamela - you probably worked your core muscles when you were running and doing all that sprinting. I find that I feel it it my lower abs when I run; must be the use of the hip flexors going up into the lower ab area. Just a guess. Great workout! I'd love to burn 752 cals in a session!

Today for me is Cardio Kicks.

Have a good day!
Sandra

LOL sorry Sandra! I hope I didn't get you sick!;)

Yes, the rebounder is a small trampoline with a very HARD bounce to it. To use it correctly you are supposed to push DOWN into it as opposed to trying to propel yourself UP. It works the entire lower body...it's WONDERFUL!}(

I did the Beginner work out again today but I did not use the stabalizing bar and I managed to not bounce out my window! YEAY! lol :D

Good morning ladies

I am so sorry about your hip Shelley...should you see a doctor?

Tammy...I have had the same week....haven't completed many of my posted workouts! I am sure it is because of my age...:)...next week will be better for us

Wendy...seems like you are enjoying your rebounder!

Gayle...snuggling time sounds so nice, I'd cut down the run too...:)

Good workout Shannon...hope your power stays on...

Conni....whining is excepted here...I think you did well considering...:)

Sandra...you did great with the PS series! Well the weather is a bit warmer today 36...it was weird though, my run in the 30 degree temp yesterday didn't feel all that cold....maybe the hot flashes are starting...:)

Had a very nice day yesterday for my B-Day. Today at work they are having a party for me and one of the hairdressers as we share the same B-Day. I know some of you will think I'm crazy, but I have been trying to get my 2 PC's in sync with sharing the one printer I have. I FINALLY got everything to click last night...:7 I was so happy!

Today is just a 3 mile run...as my neighbors little snuggle bug dog is here to play...

Have a great day...:)...Carole

Morning ladies. Well, I was supposed to do ME followed by CTX Kickbox cardio, but I woke up too late. Plus, I felt like doing some heavy cardio today, so I ended up doing IMAX 3 and then ME abs. I haven't done IMAX 3 in awhile, but it was fun! I had to re-learn some of the choreography, but it was still a great workout. I will do the ME and Kickbox tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Katie

Carole - Happy Birthday :D :)

Tammy - Cardio Kicks that's one of my favorites :p

Hello to everyone else :D :D

As for me I slept in this morning. I made a bad choice last night, had a few drinks with BF and didn't get to bed until after midnight.

Last night workout was the bomb GS BSB OUCH! And then did a few segments of Ab Hits, Nice!

Tonight, GS Legs & Ab hit.

Good news:

My boss just gave us our computers. Our company update every 2 ½ years. So, now I have my computer ready to take home. Just got to get Internet Service. I had AOL not sure what service I’m going with this time.

Teddygirl~

Hi all,

I did Billy's Total Fat Blasting workout with weighted gloves and ankle weights today. My system is sooo screwed up I don't know if I am starting my cycle or not. My weight came down this week and then this morning went right back up.sigh. I thought I was starting yesterday but then it never really did anything and so far the same thing today, sigh. Oh again the joys of being a woman in the thros of perimenopause!!:7 :+

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for your kind words and concern. My DH has MS, and he needs an MRI periodically to assess how his brain is doing. They have to sedate him, and he ends up having kind of a fuzzy day. We deal with hospitals alot, but it still gets tiring. He walks with a cane, but he is still "the bees knees" to me!

Have a great weekend!

My w/o is complete. PUB, love that w/o.

Carole, Tammy - my "off" week wound up being really "off". I didn't do a thing!! It's nice to be back on track. You'll get back on track too! Carole, I just wish my regular days were as good as your "off" days:)

Have a great weekend!

Hi Tammy and Carole :

Sounds like we were in the same boat. Just didn't have the needed "whatever" this week. Next week we will be back and you too Jane :)

Lots going on... as you ladies know work has been driving me nuts so I sent out my resume to a few places and interviewed 2/1 and didn't get it. Suddenly it's amazing. I had a phone screen this week and now a face to face Monday, another phone screen with a hiring manager (made it past HR) and a friend/colleauge just received Round A funding for a start up and has me meeting with folks next week. This is 3 interviews next week!

That has been taking lots of energy.

Tammy - we start the college tours next week. Plan is to see 3 or 4 (but now all the interviews!).

Tonight I'm just going to lift on my own. I feel like being unstructured!

Hi everyone,

Once again I had computer problems today, so I'm really late. Today was a 2 mile run, 1 mile walk (30 min run, 10 minute walk), and P90X Legs and Back.

Hope everyone had a great Friday.

Sandra, you might be on to something. My stomach hurt again today after my run.

Shelley,Wendy, Conni, and Sandra hope you feel better!

Carole, Tammy, and Robyn, I'm having that same week. I think mine stemmed from disappointment. I had an interview first thing Monday morning for a job I was interested in, but the interview did not go well. It just threw my whole week off.

In case I don't check in over the weekend, I hope everyone enjoys it and the holiday!

Take care,
Pamela
