Daily check in 2/1/2005

I did Back and abs today. I did PUB warm up and back, then did CTX back and abs and lower back off of PSBB&A!! I might do some cardio later not sure yet.:)

Wow!! Everyone is up and at it early this morning. I'm with Jes on this one!!

Sandra...the rotation I have been doing was one I made myself. It was using the CTX videos and the gym. The main focus was weight work. I am happy with the results...but now bored and ready for a change. I'll be starting my new rotation today...it will be a mixture of ciruit workouts. Hey, have you gotten over your aversion to the smell of bread??

Maria...I agree, LL is a killer!

Foodie Sue....you've got to be kidding! Those are terrible hours for meetings!

Good morning! Wow!! Quite a check-in crew here this morning! Just think about how many calories got burned between the group of us? Probably enough to raise the planet's air temperature by half a degree or so. I guess us exercisers are responsible for all that global warming, huh?

This morning I contributed my bit to global warming by doing IMAX warm up, and MIC Step (45 min workout). Then I did PS Chest, Shoulders, Triceps. Great workout; feel so revitalized now. I love exercise :)

Jes - The Parents come for a visit about twice a year, usually in early fall and then early in the new year. We usually fly home once a year, in the spring. You know, you really need to get the Terminator; it has three workouts that combine the intensity series workouts in such creative and challenging ways.

Lisa - the smell of bread is still irksome, but I think I've adapted. Thanks for asking :) Your rotation sounds interesting. Are you going to maintain your gym membership? Have you ordered HC?

We are having unbelievably nice weather these days, so I'm going to try to take a 30 minute walk around lunch time, and get some fresh air and sunshine. We've changed our routine around here, and I am now walking DD across the street to her daycare in the mornings. It is so nice to get outside in the morning. The world is so fresh.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are my days I don't have much time before getting out of the house in the a.m., and I'm an a.m. kind of worker-outer. So I had planned on doing a 30 minute Tamilee Webb cardio. I couldn't stand it. It didn't even get my heart rate up...I could have sung the whole time. So...I guess that ones going up for sale on eBay, and I'm a true Cathe addict. :D

I am another long time lurker and would like to join the daily check in. You all seem like such a great friendly and informative group.

I am working on converting my workouts to mornings - so today it was CTX kickbox - the cardio only. Tonight will be S&H Chest and Triceps.

I am so excited for Hardcore. I even emailed SNM to see if I could upgrade my shipping to 2nd day. I knew I would regret not ordering it that way when I preordered in July. I got an email back this morning and they were able too! Since I am on the West Coast - waiting for a week for them to get here would have been torture!

Well I did my 6.3K run. We did the race course were gonna be doing on the 13th. We were going at it sloooow, no faster than long run pace:) It took me 3K to warm up those legs and get in my rhythm. Then I was fine but the run was almost over. Managed to do it in less then 42 minutes, which is 2:30minutes slower than usual:)

Carole, I really don't know how you regularly manage LB w/o and a run ;-))

I have my gym membership until Oct. unfortunately I had just signed a membership for a year when I finally stumbled upon Cathe. Unfortunately, I will have to wait until I stop paying the monthly dues before I can get more Cathex( I practice yoga also and am always taking workshops which add up in expense....so I'm limited in my expenditures:-( Too bad I wasn't born rich:p
 
well, it was a no-go! x( i did not do my imitation of roadkill, however, i did look very similar to the person on a "what to do if someone is choking" poster in restaurants.....very sexy!!!



glad to see so many are joining in around here and very envious of all these great work-out triumphs!!!! i'll catch up eventually!

Hi everyone- just a quick check-in. I did S&h chest and back tonight. I made it to the supermans and planks and then conked out. Oh well- I guess I'm getting stronger- it'll just take time before I can make it through an entire tape.

I have to say that it was easier to get started working out tonight- I was actually looking forward to it- somehting I haven't done in a while. I can feel my stamina and strength returning and it is a GREAT feeling.

I'm glad I checked the thread- I didn't realize Cathe posted a Feb. rotation. I'll have to go check it out! Have a wonderful night all!

I'm posting so late, nobody will read this, but hey, I enjoyed reading about your days. Tomorrow I should be back in normal posting routine--my crazy work stuff will have calmed down a little. Today I had to work out after work, due to the 6 am meeting I mentioned yesterday. Only problem was, I meant to leave a 3, but it didn't happen until 4:30, and then I had to go directly to pick up my kids. Luckily I squeezed in PLB premix up--great little 40 minute workout--LOVE the floor work!

I neglected to mention that on the last day of free shipping I ordered the other two intensity series I don't have--the IMAX 2, C&W, L&G, and whatever the other one is--KPC? Should have those Thursday, so can dig in this weekend. I'm thinking HC won't be here yet?

Gonna pop over to the rotation and see if I can do it--but I already missed today.
