Curious to know what body parts others really like the least. I am getting strong in all other area

I love chest work - it makes me feel really strong.

I have a tough time with shoulders because if I go heavier, I lose my form - but a lighter weight doesn't feel challenging to me. I have the same problem with some tricep exercises.

:-( I guess I am with you RE pushups. I still can not do a full set of pushups without going to my knees. Somedays I do all pushups on my knees!:)

RE: Curious to know what body parts others really like ...

How could anything be worse than legs? When they hurt, they are such a big hurt!

If it was just upper body though, I would have to pick shoulders.

RE: Curious to know what body parts others really like ...

My tummy, tummy tummy. It still has a giant "lower" bulge. I think that all 10 lbs that i have left to lose is in the lower bulge :). I think I will die during Cathe's ab portions, planks, they more bother my arms though, hmmm, sorry rambled :)

RE: Curious to know what body parts others really like ...

I totally understand, Michelle. I carry most of my extra weight in my tummy too. But at least when I do my crunches and planks, I actually feel some improvement in the muscles over time. (Of course, the improvement can't be seen because of my tummy fat, but at least I know it's there.) As for my chest: nothing, nada, zilch! :-(

Hey Nancy!

You forgot LEGS!!!!! That's my least favorite body part to work out.

As for upper body, I don't like working on my back. (I'm sure there are a few "working girls" out there who feel the same, tee-hee!!) I don't mind going heavy with my weights but hate the bending over thing -- pure hell on my lower back and hindquarters.

Patricia

P.S. That's "working girls", not "working out girls", (tee-hee).

RE: Curious to know what body parts others really like ...

I didn't forget!! How could I? Go back and look again, and don't forget to vote! :)

RE: Curious to know what body parts others really like ...

I just finished ME and for some reason, biceps, especially in endurance type weight work, just KILL me. I have the hardest completing all the reps with good form.

I do have to say that I also HATE yet love static lunges when working my legs. My legs just end up shaking, but I am seeing improvement as I continue to workout.

I do have to do modified pushups and don't know if I will ever be able to do full body pushups with good form. I always try to do one or two.

Biceps got my vote though!

Oops! I'm old and I'm goin' blind too!

Duly voted.

I'm with you, Angela

Completely.

I just have the hardest time with biceps -- try as I might, and even doing them first before any other body part, I find that I can't come close to Cathe and the crew. I have been on a PUB/PLB rotation and can now match every other weight except on static lunges (where I also TOTALLY agree with you). But on biceps, ohmigosh am I dying.

And although I know my chest (or as my kids say "chestal area") is stronger because I can keep up on PUB, no way can I do even 5 straight leg pushups. What's that all about???

Oh yeah, and how about tricep pushups???

Those nasty Push-Ups

I'm with you on the push-ups. I don't mind the flyes and bench press ones, but no matter how hard I work, I never seem to get to a place where I can do full (right to the floor - well almost) push-ups. I had to laugh because now when I do the planks that go into pyramid push-ups I do fake pushups - drop down about 6 inches and then back up into the pyramid.

I'd love to get to a place where I can do one-arm, clapping push-ups like all the army movies! hehe

RE: Those nasty Push-Ups

Same exact thing here!!! Maybe we can do the flyes and the bench presses because we can vary the weight - but with push-ups, there's no weight to vary. Whatever your body weight is, you're stuck with it!
So glad to know someone else feels this way too. Thanks punky!

Actually, I'm completely with you on this one. And doing full body pushups is one of my goals for this year.

Maybe someone "in the know" can make us up a little program to build up to this. I want to be doing those full body clapping push-ups!

Anyone want to take us on?

And now you have me curious!
I'm going to start a poll of my own

RE: Those nasty Push-Ups

Hi!

I agree with the push-ups, too! I feel fairly strong in my chest area, but when it comes to the push-up portion, either beginning or end of the workout, I'm dead!

I'm not a big fan of leg work either, especially static lunges. It's also the part of my body that needs the most work, so I guess there's some connection there! :)

Great Punky! I'd love to have a program from someone in the know. Great idea!

Ok anyone up for making us a program?

Shoulders. After 9 car accidents (and no I've never hit anyone myself!), my neck and shoulders are weak. I can still only use 3 lb dumbells in Pyramid UB for shoulders and barely get through it!

I was torn about which to vote for because you put biceps and triceps together - biceps are my favorite body part to work and triceps are my least. I have noticed such a difference in my biceps since starting PUB, but alas, my triceps are still flapping in the wind.
