Today I did Press Play but only the first 3 Challenges. I had a pretty good workout but didn't feel like I had the energy I usually have. I did well, though.

CARDIO STATS:

Still, I pretty high calorie burn. I'm happy with that!

Debbie- Wow, awesome workout today with Press Play, its sounds like you got it done for today. I know what you mean about having days that the workouts just don't seem as great performance wise, but that's just the way it goes for everyone. I've been fighting that a few times last week but I still give myself a high five for getting it done and not giving in to that voice that says don't workout. So I'm giving you a huge High Five for getting the job done today and that is all you can do, so WTG girlfriend you did it!:)

I got my KCM workout in and I really like this one I need to do it more often and then I did 30 mins on the TM now its time to do 240 squats only 2 days left of the squat challenge and I saw great results makes me want to do it again.

Nora-the sun finally came out. I preordered the kickboxing one and accidentally ordered the wt one.

I woke up to the sun shining this morning its wonderful. I will do KCM Your Best Body with Cardio Rests and then 250 squats for the last time and then a walk hopefully outside.
 
Today I decided to lift a little. Not much and I did compound moves. I need to google compound moves for chest, that one was a hard one to pair up with another exercise. Also triceps. I sort of just winged it.

This is what I did, like I said, not much. No weights over 8# and this only took me like a half hour maybe forty minutes to do it.

Pushups - 3 sets/12 reps on toes

Squats with Overhead Press - 5's - 3 sets/12 reps

Bulgarian Split Squats w/ Hammer Curls - 8's - 3 sets/12 reps

Chest Flyes w/Inner Thigh Squeeze w/ball - 8's - 3 sets/12 reps

Tricep Extensions w/Glute Raises on ball - 5's - 3 sets/15 reps

I want to start doing this twice a week starting off really slow like this until I know my upper shoulder will be good with it. I am losing my muscle tone and I don't like it. Yoga is good, but I don't believe it works the muscles like lifting does. I need to get back to this but I'm so afraid of it hurting my shoulder/neck again. We'll see. So far so good.

So some HUGE news in Cleveland today. 10 years ago 2 teens disappeared in Cleveland. Just vanished. No reason for anyone to think they ran away and no signs of them ever since. One of the girls is named Gina DeJesus and the other is Amanda Barry. Thoughout the years the police would get phone calls saying that Amanda's body was buried in this location, Gina was spotted in that location, yet nothing ever turned up.

Yesterday, however, a man came back to his house after going to McDonald's and heard girls screaming in the house next door. He thought this was weird because for as long as he's lived there, he has never seen girls over there. He went to the front door and Amanda told him who she was and to get her out of there. He broke in the door and she grabbed his cell and called 911. Gina was with her and also another missing girl named Michelle Knight. When Michelle disappeared the police just assumed she ran away - she was older than the other two. Amanda was 15 when she disappeared and Gina was 14. Michelle was 19.

One of the girls now has a baby and they are at Metro in Cleveland. All are emanciated (sp?) but in fair condition. It has always been a speculation that the two girls were taken for human trafficking and that is exactly what this looks like. There is a press conference going on right now and I'm taping it. I have to take my mom to the doctors for her 6 month appointment with her regular doctor so I will watch it later.

This has been some amazing news, it even brought tears to my eyes last night when it was on the TV. I can't even imagine what these girls have been through, but I'm so glad they are safe and with their familes. Unfortunately, Amanda's mom passed in 2006 with a broken heart due to Amanda's disappearance so I'm not sure what family members are left, I think she has a sister. So I can't wait to hear what happened, if they had TV through these years seeing themselves on the news, etc. Their families kept them in the spotlight all this time so when you hear the name Amanda Barry or Gina DeJesus, you knew who they were. When 911 got the call, they knew who Amanda was and sent the cops to the house immediately. They also arrested 3 suspects and the girls have identified them by name.

An unbelievable turn of events here. Even the news casters were crying when they were reporting this.
 
My KCM workout and squats are done and I went for a 2 mile walk outside and it felt great to be out in the sunshine.

Debbie-good job with your workout hope it doesn't bother the shoulder and that is awesome news about the girls that would make me cry too.

Debbie- WOW, just WOW!! I'm so happy that the girls were rescued. I feel like you do about this news. I can't imagine what these girls have been through and hope that only good things now will be in store for the girls now. Definitely keep us updated as the news breaks. I'm thrilled the girls named and identified the three individuals involved and that the police are involved. I like the workout you did today. I agree starting slow and with low weights for a while until shoulder muscles are able to handle the weight loads before going heavier. I know with losing muscle sucks I have been dealing with that with MS and it effecting my right side which is the dominate side being right handed. Now the right side is weaker and now the left side is stronger but right side still wants to be dominate for walking and such. I understand about being frustrated by limitations, but do what you can gradually and the improvement will fallow gradually as well. Be patient and be safe. Great workout today WTG!!!:):cool:

I did KCMs Bootcamp Cardio only and then started CK25 again today I did Day 1 WK1 which is run for 1 minute walk for 1.5 mins for 30 mins.

Nora-you make me want Les Mills.

I will do KCMs Weights 2 with Cardio Rest then a walk when it clears off and Hip Hop Ab Sculpt.

Belinda-I have seriouly been looking at those workouts but I already have Cathes new ones coming and KCMs new ones coming.
 
KCM Weight work done then I did Hip Hop Absculpt and then went for a 2.34 mile walk outside its humid here today but the temps are nice it rained during the night. I want to order Shaun Ts Rockin Abs I forgot how much fun those workouts are.
