Morning Coolers

Well, my work day today is starting better than yesterday! As I walked into our site trailer yesterday we had an evacuation due to a suspected gas leak. So off to the communication trailer I go where I'm assigned in these instances, still carrying my lunch bag, purse and wearing my jacket. It was just too much for me with out getting at least one cup of java in me:eek: Thankfully it turned out to me nothing and I didn't have to function at anything too high-level:eek: I'm sooo useless 1st thing in the a.m.!

Yesterday I did SS - Tear it Up and tonight is suppose to be cardio.

Plyo Cardio Circuits and CTX/MIS Back are finished.

Patricia, I wouldn't be able to function without my java either. I have to allow myself only 2 big cups :D each morning, otherwise I'm sure that I would drink the whole dang pot. ;) Glad the gas leak was nothing, but what a way to start your day. :)

Raining for us again this morning, so some of that salt is getting washed off my car. :D

I'm taking the recovery week literally, haven't worked out all week:rolleyes: But getting lots of projects/errands done.

Have you all been watching the drama on Open Discussion! I think some of it's gone now.
 
Kim - I might be with you there on a recovery week. Didn't feel like a w/o last night and not sure if I'll have time again until Sunday. We have company coming for the weekend so tonight will be spent cleaning the house:(

Oh yeah, OD has been pretty eventful the last few days:eek:

Kim, Forced recovery! :D Those projects/errands sometimes can't take a back seat, so hope they get done quick!

Patricia, Hey housework is a workout! No recovery for you. :D Have fun with the company that will be invading your home.

I don't really go to open discussion anymore, it just has been getting some really strange topics. :rolleyes: So the children are fighting again are they. :rolleyes:

Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs are finished. Tomorrow is Plyo Cardio Circuit and CTX/MIS Biceps & Triceps. Sunday I'm planning on trying out Jillians Yoga Meltdown, I saw it on ExerciseTV on Demand.

Hope everyone is having a great day, and of course having lots of fun with company, or getting all those errands done. :D
 
Good Friday Morning Coolers

So, I'm thinking I've had enough of the Slim Series workouts and starting a new rotation next week. I might do CLX as I lost a couple #s last year when I did it. I should be able to add in a Cathe cardio in too as there are 2 rest days in CLX.

No company after all this weekend as one of their kids are sick:(
 
Goodness, this past week was a blur, I got a ton of errands/projects done at home and worked extra hours at the hospital. I don't think I mentioned that my best friend's DH tried to commit suicide a few weeks ago, this is a very successful man and it came totally out of the blue. He's physically okay but is in the psychiatric ward in a severe depressions so I've been spending lots of time talking with my friend. She is a mess:(

The paperwork on the house finally seems done and now we will be waiting on the building permit. We moved the laundry to the basement and decided to put in the fireplace/built in entertainment centre. I'm finally starting to get excited instead of scared:D Now I'm starting to focus on decluttering, cleaning, fixing around this house. Started by updating by scrapbook and orgazaning all that stuff. Next I'm orgzning Christmas decorations and taking to my mom's house to store. DH is fixing closet doors, patching paint jobs etc.

Spring has sprung early here it's beautiful outside!! +8 today!:D

So are you starting CLX this weekend Patricia?? Too bad about your friends, did you reschedule? When is ds's spring break?

Laurie How about you guys, do you have a spring break coming up? Are you sick of Shaun T yet? I'm staring meso 3 of STS this week and I'm still thinking of going back to Insanity when I"m done STS.

Core Cardio and Balanace is finished, and that is suppose to be my workout for the rest of this week. It actually is a good workout, and doesn't get your HR up as high as his other workouts do. Really works the shoulders and legs, since he keeps you in a plie squat forever. :rolleyes:

Patricia, So are you starting the CLX rotation?

Kim, So sorry to hear about your DH's friend. My gf's husband attempted to jump about 6 months ago. He won't take his medication for bi-polar, and sad to say they are now in the process of divorce. She just can't trust him around her or their daughter. He got violent when not on his meds. Guess you have to do the less is more to sell your current home. Good time to get all organized for the new home though. Spring break is the week after Easter, and DH will be in Vegas for a conference. Still hoping that the girls and I can go just to be with him for a bit. I'm still loving that Shaun T. In this current workout one of the exercises Shaun is by a girl, and she stabilizes herself by putting her hand on Shaun. She gives the camera this look like don't you wish you where the one toughing Shaun. Too Funny!

Morning Coolers

Yep, started CLX this weekend. Yesterday was Burn Circuit #1. Today I'm going to do a Hiit w/o of Cathe's, just haven't decided which one yet:D Tidied up around the house on Sat. and touched up a bedroom wall with paint that needed it. I was worried that I might have to paint the whole bedroom due to the paint colour being by the previous home owners. Thankfully you can't tell where I had to spot paint so it ended up being an easy job:) DH sold his Dust Collector (a big "tool" in the garage) and put one of our snow mobiles up for sale so we're in the decluttering mode too/still! I finally got around to filing about 6mos worth of paper. How the heck we collect so much from all the bills eh!

Kim - spring is in the air. We lost about 95% of our snow last week. Didn't know what to send DS in to school today. Coolish in the a.m. if they're outside playing but +12c this afternoon. Spring Break started this week, so he is just in Daycare all week. I didn't realise Daycare is closed both Good Friday and Easter Monday so will have to work something out for the Monday as only Gov't workers/schools are off that day:mad: Great that you're getting excited and forgetting the stress of buying the house. Gee, what a terrible thing to happen with your friend. More and more it seems we're all being touched by this. DH's cousin's son committed suicide last year and it was a shocker too. I wonder how much laughter people have in their life when I hear about suicides.

Laurie - So, are you on a recovery week then if you're w/o for the week is done? LOL about the girl in the video. I emailed my parents who are in Florida for the month to see if they can p/u Barry's BC for $20 so my fingers are x-d they find it:)

We didn't reschedule with our friends and I'm not feeling too bad about it. It's my DH's BF and neither of us really like his wife:eek: but they're son is our DS's same age so makes for a good playmate.
 
I can see how people get out of the habit of working out! I took the recovery week off and goodness it was hard to get going again! I've done 2 workouts out now, disc #25 yesterday/HiiT Double Wave today and I feel great but it was hard to get the momentum going again. Having the extra hour in the day for other things is such a treat!

Patricia Which Hiit did you decide on? So how is DH doing on his workouts? DH did lots of the CLX workouts with me:cool: So your busy cleaning too, you haven't been there too long so maybe you don't have as much to do??? We're been in this house 18 years but it's so small I've had to keep stuff to a minimum. We have 2 weeks yet till spring break! I have the opposite of you, I get Easter Monday off but the schools don't (and neither does DH) so I always have a quiet day to myself!

Laurie I sure hope you get to go to Vegas!!:D I only did Core Cardio and Balance once as I took our Disney vacation as my recovery week but I remember liking it. It's too bad that there is such a social stigma regarding mental illnesses as it makes it so much harder for relatives to deal with. My friend has still only told 3 girlfriends as she wants to keep it secret.

Okay, just reading my post from yesterday, and yes I know how to spell, organizing. *and my 9 yr dd says that's right!

I survived 30/30 last night :p and now eating a butter tart that a subtrade brought in to me. How could I refuse:cool:

Kim - I hear you on getting back into workouts. If I take more than 1 day or so off I really have to push myself. I dreaded starting 30/30 last night as I really haven't done any intense cardio lately. Glad the bulk of it is only 20min:D Even though we've only lived in this house less than 3 years, we were at our previous house for 7 yrs and when we moved in together we only had to buy a couch. Thats how much stuff we have/had! Also, we kept/stored stuff for the cottage. I have a hard time getting rid of stuff "just in case". I have 2 10pin bowling balls b/c I bowled for 7 years. They don't go bad and I still use them once in a while. So do I throw them out or keep them? That's the stuff that's hard to get rid of, along with all the paper clutter :confused: Am I bad Mother for throwing out most of DS's crafts:eek:

DH said he might start cycling for cardio now that the snow is gone and maybe concentrate on strength training for video work. I asked him if he wanted TB, UB, or splits and he just looked at me with a "Huh" look:D I explained splits to him and he said he would get back to me. Maybe I'll see if he wants to try CLX with me. We both have to watch our shoulders but he might like the 30min w/os along with the music. He agrees with me that Jillian doesn't warm up very well and is complaining about tight quads and calves.

Patricia, Tell your parents to check out Marshall's or TJ Maxx for the Barry sets. ;) As you can see I did the same workout again. Shaun only made one workout for recovery. Just glad that I like the workout. Probably will be bored with it by the end of the week. :D I agree with the Jillian not having great warm ups. And I had the same problem with my legs, they always felt tight. I didn't keep my DD's craft projects, just don't have the room for all that. And what are they going to do with them, my DH threw away all the stuff his mother kept. Most of the noodles on the paper got nasty! :rolleyes:

Kim, It is a good thing that your gf is talking though. That is the best therapy for her also, just having someone to talk to. Getting back into the workouts is tough, but your body will remember real quick. :D
I don't envy either one of you two having to get things organized. I like watching the show Clean House, and it makes me realize that sometimes you have to give up things that have some meaning to you. My DH is a huge pack rat, and I have been trying for years to get him to give up his boyhood toys. Not an easy task, even after 21 years.

My Dh has hockey cards framed and on the rec room wall, I always bug him that I will sell them for our retirement fund. I really wonder how much you could see them for.

Patricia That's the good part of the HiiTs, the shorter length. Yum, love butter tarts. I had a bit of birthday cake today, a coworker brought it in for my birthday (tomorrow) so how can you not have a piece of your own birthday cake?

Got all dressed this a.m. then remembered I was suppose to wear green. At least I rememered to dress DS in green:)

Last night I did Burn Circuit #2. Tonight is Burn Interval along with Abs. Tomorrow night I donate blood so I'm trying to decide if I get up early to do Burn Circuit #3 or go home on my lunch hour and do it. Its only about 35min. so I should have time to cram it in at lunch if I hustle.

Laurie - that's were I sent my Mom to by Barry. She doesn't have email, but uses her neighbours computer about once a week to get up-to-date so I haven't even heard from her yet to know if she got my message. I'm thinking of having DH try Cathe's Push/Pull. It's a fairly short w/o and pretty basic.

Kim - this a.m. there is carrot cake in the lunch room. What's with all the sweets this week? I've resisted so far today:D I totally agree with your logic. Hmm, maybe I should have some cake today too in your honour:D

Kim, Happy Birthday, and yes you do need to eat cake that was for your birthday. I think it is required. ;) DH does have some collector items, that I would rate as used. So they may not get as much as something in mint condition. He has things like a GI Joe jeep, with a trailer.

Patricia, I didn't wear green today, I really don't have anything green. :eek: Doesn't look good with my skin color. :D Push/Pull is a great workout, he should like that one. Oh carrot cake is a hard one to pass up, at least for me. Does it have raisins and walnuts in it? :eek:

Evening Coolers

Finished Burn Intervals and Ab Burner then did some extra stretching. I've set the alarm for 5:20am and intend to go to bed soon in an attemp to get up to w/o tomorrow:eek:

Another nice day here. Swept all the sand off the driveway and raked as much as I could off the lawn. Then played some baseball with DS.

Kim - the carrot cake was gone by the time I went looking:eek:

Laurie - how much are the w/os a recovery. Is is mainly easy cardio?
 
I got completely spoiled on my birthday and ate way too many treats. :D Back to reality and healthy eating today:( Skipped my workout and went to Dairy Queen instead:p

Today will be MMA Fusion. Just the way the schedules work I have Thurs and Friday off work so that's great! I'm going to spend some time today looking for a new bed since the new mattress is coming tomorrow. Got lots of cleaning/house projects to do to prep the house for June.

Did you get up early this morning Patricia?? That's too bad about the carrot cake:( I think Push/Pull is a good idea too!

So are you sick of Cardio Core and balance yet Laurie??

Patricia, Yep the recovery workout is easier cardio than any of his other workouts. I put it at the same intensity as an MMA workout.

Kim, I really like this workout, and am very glad that I'm not bored with it. But when the workout comes up in the 2nd month of this rotation, I'm subbing in Max Interval Sports Training. :D I have heard that it is a good workout, and they do indicate on the rotation that you can sub it. Have fun looking at beds.
