Coolers Chatting on a Fall Friday

Just starting us off.Goodness, I have big time DOMS from S & H. I haven't had DOMS like this in a long time. That series sure does work but it is boring! The Bi/Tris is on the schedule today along with groceries, housework and errands, my usual Friday.

DH got hockey tickets for tonight, the company he works for owns 4 box seats. It's opening weekend so it's free food in the luxury boxes. We went the last couple of years, it's great food, steak, salmon, chicken fingers, desserts, wine tasting, etc. The do it at the beginning of the year, so the rich people in the luxury boxes can sample different things and know what they might have catered in the box. DD is so excited she loved the food last year but she hates the hockey game. LOL

Morning,
It was a short upper body workout from SJP this morning. Didn't want to do cardio as I broke the fan chain yesterday and DH hasn't finished fixing it. I just get too hot without a fan so subbed weight work instead. Tonite is shopping, housecleaning and getting ready for DS#1's birthday party tomorrow. Golf was fun last night, but it was very cold. High point of the game, all 3 of us ladies parred on the same hole. Oh yes, I got 3 pars during 9 holes, but lots of high scores. Shows my inconsistencies still. It was too cold to concentrate for long.

Kim, I so rarely get any DOMS, darn it. Yep, that S&H can get boring. The hockey game food sounds great. Enjoy it! I'm so glad you don't have to be out in the cold weather throwing papers. Is it Thanksgiving this weekend? If so, have a great time. It's my favorite holiday of all. You got that one right, I'm super happy DS is going out with DH to cut wood. Did I say super happy?

Wendy, hoping you are feeling better. I too have a leeeetle bit of a rawness in the back of my throat. Nose was drippy last night during golf. No difference on my legs with walking, though I'm not stressing about it these days. I've come to some acceptance . Remember me, the laziest Xer?

Debra, you've been so busy with school, no wonder you are weary. I get that way near the end of the week too. Is the diva banging out some songs on the keyboard? Tickling the ivories? How is Gin Miller? I have some GM weight workouts that I haven't tried yet. Come to think of it, you probably gave them to me. Enjoy the county fair. Don't eat too much cotton candy.

Morning Coolers,

Yesteday I was trying to get out of work early enough to see DD run in her CC race. Well best laid plans, she just finished when I got there! I was able to see her receive her 3rd place metal, and her and her teammates receive their 1st place plaque!

DH came home last night from his conference, so hopefully life will get back to normal for me. Daily hugs are always nice!

Jeanette, I say blame the weather for the inconsistancies of you gold game. LOL! You are having fun, so that is what counts! Do you still have wood cutting to do? Glad your DS is ready for the challenge! We still have some trees that we need to take down, before they fall over. Only problem is DH doesn't have a decent chain saw! Maybe I should convince my Dad that him and Mom need to come for a visit! Or maybe you DH would like to come visit! We have a golf course about a 1/2 mile away from our house! LOL My workload has increased because I am working on a project, that probably will be on-going until the end of the year. We are rearranging our Maintenance department, and this is going to be a slow process!

Kim, LOL about you DD loving the food, but not the hockey! A girl after my own heart! Oh now the wine tasting would be my down fall! Is the salmon smoked, because that has to be the best! Wish they would put a smilie that is licking it's lips. I miss that one!

Hello Ladies,

I'm still sick!!! This cold is nasty!!! NyQuil is nasty too!!!! I'm debating about if I should go to class tonight.

Kim... Your arms are gonna be fried when you wake up tomorrow! Have fun tonight!!! My dh would be so jealous. His brother's company used to have box seats for the Flyers. LOL on your dd's distaste for hockey and love of sampling delicious foods. That's my kind of girl!

Jeanette... Hmmm... I wonder if this cold will change the shape of my legs? I've been living off of water and chicken soup. Next time we get together, you'll have to explain golf to me. Cuz right about now, my mind can't absorb a thing!!!! I'm sure you did well last night. You had a good time. And, that's what matters.

Debra... You and Julia have fun at the fair today!!! Thank you very much... Now I have Templeton's voice singing in my head... "The fair is a veritable smorgsboard, after the crowds have left, Each night when the lights go out...."

I'm feeling a bit whoosy. I best go lie down and homeschool from the couch.

Hi gals,
Just cleaning up the house a little, will do the major stuff tomorrow. It's supposed to be windy tomorrow so DH isn't going woodcutting. Will probably go on Sunday instead.

Wendy, I used to take NyQuil. Didn't have any trouble swallowing it. Then I decided to take the Walmart brand (Equate) and I couldn't gag it down. I tried, and tried. Now I can't even gag down NyQuil. Awful stuff for me. Hope you feel better soon. Off and on I feel like a bit of something coming on. I had my last cold when we were at the Retreat. By then, I'd had it for almost 2 months and it still hung on. Yucky stuff. Feel better soon and don't push the classes if you don't have to.

Laurie, I'm sure DH would love to cut down your trees. He is a woodrat for sure. Are you enjoying the project? Sounds like it's pretty busy. Okay, describe the dress you bought. Really, I'm sure the cold weather didn't help my game at all. I do love the golfing though. Never thought I'd be into it until maybe when I was much older. It's such a challenging activity, toughest that I've ever tackled (technique wise).

Is Patricia out of town or something? Noticed she hasn't been on here. Did I miss something?
